purpose_n in_o book_n of_o controversy_n against_o all_o the_o profess_a enemy_n of_o the_o gospel_n this_o study_n also_o have_v not_o the_o like_a fruit_n in_o all_o sort_n of_o people_n for_o howsoever_o some_o profit_n much_o this_o way_n the_o church_n of_o god_n in_o the_o confutation_n of_o all_o the_o adversary_n of_o the_o gospel_n yet_o in_o very_a many_o these_o book_n help_v little_a to_o godliness_n but_o rather_o fill_v the_o head_n and_o heart_n of_o man_n with_o a_o spirit_n of_o contradiction_n and_o contention_n as_o our_o common_a experience_n daily_o teach_v us._n necessity_n again_o although_o it_o can_v be_v deny_v but_o he_o be_v a_o man_n of_o god_n and_o have_v receive_v great_a grace_n yet_o god_n give_v knowledge_n to_o his_o dear_a saint_n in_o this_o particular_a and_o many_o and_o we_o shall_v either_o fail_v in_o memory_n by_o forgetfulness_n or_o in_o judgement_n by_o blindness_n or_o in_o affection_n by_o dulness_n so_o easy_o may_v we_o slip_v when_o we_o think_v we_o may_v hold_v our_o journey_n on_o wherefore_o the_o man_n of_o god_n through_o that_o examination_n which_o he_o take_v of_o his_o heart_n and_o affection_n see_v invention_n of_o man_n again_o though_o they_o cast_v off_o all_o these_o and_o come_v to_o the_o holy_a word_n of_o god_n yet_o if_o their_o heart_n be_v not_o sound_a and_o right_a if_o they_o
