be_v say_v that_o god_n make_v that_o thing_n available_a which_o be_v but_o a_o little_a dim_a shadow_n what_o shall_v be_v do_v now_o that_o he_o have_v appoint_v his_o own_o only_a son_n to_o be_v the_o priest_n and_o command_v he_o not_o too_o offer_v up_o goat_n and_o calf_n or_o sheep_n but_o to_o offer_v up_o both_o his_o body_n and_o soul_n in_o sacrifice_n see_v then_o that_o the_o son_n of_o god_n have_v in_o his_o own_o person_n offer_v himself_o for_o our_o redemption_n and_o to_o do_v away_o all_o our_o sin_n and_o cease_v not_o to_o make_v intercession_n for_o we_o still_o shall_v we_o doubt_v of_o obtain_v forgiveness_n for_o his_o sake_n or_o of_o be_v always_o receive_v with_o all_o lovingness_n and_o favour_n at_o god_n hand_n but_o as_o i_o have_v touch_v already_o and_o have_v shut_v the_o gate_n against_o themselves_o that_o they_o may_v have_v none_o access_n unto_o god_n to_o call_v upon_o he_o according_a also_o as_o we_o know_v that_o there_o be_v no_o open_n except_o we_o have_v jesus_n christ_n for_o our_o spokesman_n who_o they_o have_v forsake_v and_o that_o be_v because_o the_o devil_n have_v at_o all_o time_n so_o labour_v to_o put_v forth_o fond_a imagination_n to_o carry_v away_o man_n hither_o and_o thither_o but_o let_v we_o keep_v ourselves_o from_o gad_v out_o and_o rather_o sith_o we_o see_v that_o god_n have_v hear_v man_n by_o mean_n of_o their_o sacrifice_n so_o that_o the_o priest_n of_o the_o law_n enter_v not_o in_o vain_a into_o the_o sanctuary_n that_o be_v make_v with_o man_n hand_n and_o be_v corruptible_a when_o as_o they_o bring_v no_o better_a thing_n with_o they_o than_o the_o blood_n of_o a_o beast_n let_v we_o be_v sure_a that_o now_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n will_v make_v we_o too_o find_v god_n pitiful_a and_o favourable_a towards_o we_o so_o as_o we_o shall_v be_v receive_v to_o mercy_n doubtless_o if_o our_o prayer_n be_v ground_v upon_o the_o sacrifice_n which_o he_o have_v offer_v and_o that_o we_o acknowledge_v how_o it_o belong_v to_o he_o to_o carry_v word_n for_o we_o and_o to_o cause_v we_o to_o be_v hear_v

warn_v to_o take_v better_a heed_n than_o we_o have_v do_v in_o note_v and_o mark_v god_n judgement_n it_o be_v a_o great_a favour_n that_o he_o show_v we_o when_o he_o teach_v we_o by_o other_o man_n harm_n but_o if_o we_o shut_v our_o eye_n or_o play_v the_o dullard_n what_o excuse_n have_v we_o therefore_o as_o oft_o as_o god_n punish_v sin_n let_v every_o man_n think_v upon_o it_o in_o his_o of_o the_o thing_n which_o shall_v be_v say_v although_o we_o see_v it_o not_o if_o there_o be_v any_o report_n of_o the_o take_n of_o a_o town_n or_o of_o the_o sack_n of_o it_o or_o of_o any_o discomfiture_n or_o of_o such_o other_o like_o thing_n the_o news_n shall_v be_v carry_v abroad_o and_o man_n will_v debate_v of_o it_o and_o much_o more_o can_v we_o well_o discourse_v of_o the_o thing_n that_o we_o see_v before_o our_o eye_n but_o in_o the_o mean_a while_n to_o what_o purpose_n do_v it_o serve_v we_o do_v we_o learn_v to_o forethink_v we_o of_o our_o fault_n and_o to_o humble_v ourselves_o before_o god_n no_o but_o we_o follow_v still_o our_o own_o trade_n and_o although_o we_o be_v as_o bad_a as_o they_o who_o god_n so_o visit_v and_o correct_v so_o rough_o yet_o do_v we_o bear_v ourselves_o in_o hand_n that_o the_o blow_n shall_v never_o come_v at_o we_o see_v you_o not_o then_o a_o exceed_a great_a and_o intolerable_a unkindness_n so_o much_o the_o more_o behove_v it_o we_o to_o mark_v well_o how_o it_o be_v tell_v we_o here_o that_o god_n punish_v not_o offender_n secret_o so_o as_o no_o man_n may_v perceive_v it_o to_o be_v his_o correction_n but_o so_o open_o as_o all_o of_o we_o may_v fare_v the_o better_a by_o it_o if_o it_o be_v not_o long_o of_o ourselves_o and_o why_o for_o if_o god_n shall_v set_v up_o scaffold_n to_o execute_v his_o chastisement_n upon_o we_o can_v not_o perceive_v they_o more_o evident_o and_o so_o our_o blindness_n in_o that_o behalf_n come_v of_o our_o own_o wilfulness_n and_o unkindness_n as_o i_o have_v say_v afore_o mark_v that_o for_o one_o point_n but_o the_o reason_n also_o be_v set_v down_o here_o namely_o because_o they_o turn_v away_o from_o he_o and_o consider_v not_o all_o his_o way_n over_o and_o beside_o that_o we_o have_v see_v already_o that_o god_n strike_v not_o man_n wrongful_o but_o to_o punish_v their_o sin_n here_o it_o be_v show_v we_o what_o be_v the_o wellspring_n of_o all_o evil_n that_o be_v to_o wit_n the_o withdraw_a of_o ourselves_o from_o he_o which_o be_v the_o fountain_n of_o all_o righteousness_n for_o our_o life_n ought_v to_o be_v so_o rule_v as_o we_o shall_v obey_v god_n and_o seek_v he_o and_o walk_v as_o it_o be_v in_o his_o presence_n and_o therefore_o when_o a_o man_n be_v go_v away_o from_o he_o he_o can_v but_o run_v into_o all_o confusion_n and_o that_o be_v the_o cause_n of_o man_n destruction_n so_o have_v we_o a_o very_a profitable_a lesson_n in_o this_o text_n to_o show_v we_o how_o we_o may_v keep_v ourselves_o from_o go_v into_o destruction_n and_o that_o be_v by_o hold_v ourselves_o as_o it_o be_v shut_v up_o under_o god_n wing_n and_o by_o cling_v unto_o he_o to_o obey_v his_o will._n if_o we_o have_v this_o wisdom_n in_o we_o it_o be_v the_o thing_n wherein_o our_o welfare_n lie_v but_o contrariwise_o if_o we_o forget_v god_n can_v we_o escape_v his_o hand_n if_o our_o life_n stray_v here_o and_o there_o we_o be_v undo_v and_o damnation_n be_v at_o our_o back_n for_o it_o be_v say_v that_o god_n will_v in_o open_a sight_n and_o after_o a_o terrible_a manner_n punish_v those_o that_o run_v away_o from_o he_o but_o let_v we_o mark_v well_o that_o eliu_n speak_v not_o of_o such_o as_o have_v be_v bring_v up_o in_o the_o law_n and_o have_v have_v the_o prophet_n and_o be_v teach_v the_o doctrine_n of_o god_n familiar_o but_o of_o the_o heathen_n which_o have_v have_v but_o a_o small_a taste_n of_o the_o light_n and_o yet_o notwithstanding_o for_o as_o much_o as_o they_o give_v themselves_o unto_o evil_n it_o be_v say_v that_o they_o be_v withdraw_v from_o god_n and_o why_o for_o although_o he_o be_v not_o so_o near_o unto_o they_o as_o unto_o those_o to_o who_o he_o have_v give_v his_o law_n yet_o notwithstanding_o we_o must_v hold_v this_o for_o a_o general_a rule_n that_o for_o so_o much_o as_o god_n have_v set_v we_o in_o this_o world_n and_o create_v we_o after_o his_o own_o image_n we_o according_a to_o the_o order_n of_o nature_n aught_o to_o tend_v unto_o he_o and_o to_o make_v he_o our_o mark_n to_o am_z at_o therefore_o when_o we_o run_v astray_o and_o give_v our_o lust_n to_o the_o bridle_n so_o as_o they_o reign_v over_o we_o it_o be_v a_o turn_n away_o from_o god_n even_o with_o who_o we_o ought_v to_o be_v all_o one_o and_o so_o after_o that_o sort_n eliu_n blame_v the_o paynim_n for_o turn_v away_o from_o god_n for_o albeit_o they_o have_v not_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o law_n yet_o have_v they_o the_o instruction_n that_o i_o have_v speak_v of_o according_a also_o as_o saint_n paul_n declare_v in_o the_o second_o to_o the_o roman_n namely_o that_o they_o need_v no_o paper_n write_v too_o show_v they_o that_o there_o be_v but_o one_o god_n and_o a_o difference_n betwixt_o good_a and_o evil_n for_o every_o man_n have_v it_o write_v in_o his_o heart_n now_o if_o the_o heathen_a man_n be_v condemn_v for_o stray_v away_o from_o god_n and_o for_o withdraw_a themselves_o from_o his_o obedience_n what_o shall_v become_v of_o we_o with_o who_o god_n be_v more_o familiar_a without_o comparison_n god_n think_v it_o not_o enough_o to_o have_v create_v they_o after_o his_o own_o image_n
and_o to_o have_v print_v therein_o some_o knowledge_n of_o good_a and_o evil_n but_o he_o have_v also_o give_v we_o his_o word_n and_o will_v have_v it_o publish_v unto_o we_o daily_o there_o he_o show_v we_o his_o will_n familiar_o and_o it_o be_v the_o way_n as_o moses_n protest_v we_o can_v not_o stray_v we_o have_v no_o excuse_n of_o ignorance_n but_o behold_v there_o be_v our_o rest_n as_o it_o be_v say_v in_o the_o prophet_n isaiah_n therefore_o see_v our_o way_n be_v lay_v afore_o we_o and_o we_o know_v which_o way_n to_o take_v if_o yet_o notwithstanding_o every_o man_n start_v come_v so_o near_o unto_o we_o as_o to_o do_v the_o duty_n of_o a_o schoolmaster_n and_o teacher_n among_o we_o and_o to_o entertain_v we_o in_o his_o school_n to_o the_o end_n we_o shall_v learn_v at_o his_o hand_n in_o the_o person_n of_o those_o who_o he_o appoint_v to_o preach_v his_o word_n in_o his_o name_n therefore_o if_o we_o make_v no_o account_n of_o the_o doctrine_n which_o be_v give_v we_o must_v we_o not_o be_v condemn_v as_o double_a renegate_n or_o backslyder_n yes_o sure_o then_o let_v every_o of_o we_o look_v near_o to_o himself_o and_o consider_v of_o what_o value_n and_o estimation_n this_o grace_n of_o god_n be_v when_o he_o have_v as_o it_o be_v his_o own_o mouth_n open_a to_o warrant_v we_o the_o thing_n that_o be_v good_a and_o convenient_a for_o our_o salvation_n see_v we_o have_v this_o although_o we_o have_v it_o but_o with_o a_o wet_a finger_n as_o they_o say_v yet_o let_v we_o assure_v our_o self_n that_o we_o can_v not_o despise_v such_o a_o blessing_n of_o god_n but_o it_o must_v needs_o be_v a_o withdraw_n of_o ourselves_o from_o he_o much_o more_o see_v we_o have_v his_o word_n daily_o preach_v in_o sermon_n and_o may_v also_o have_v shall_v be_v open_v unto_o you_o seek_v and_o you_o shall_v find_v then_o if_o we_o see_v that_o man_n do_v so_o range_v over_o the_o field_n and_o as_o it_o be_v run_v astray_o let_v we_o mark_v that_o they_o have_v not_o a_o pure_a and_o rightmeen_a mind_n to_o go_v unto_o god_n true_a it_o be_v that_o they_o may_v well_o have_v some_o show_n of_o devotion_n as_o we_o see_v among_o the_o god_n way_n nor_o to_o have_v be_v lead_v in_o the_o right_a way_n for_o that_o they_o be_v carry_v away_o by_o pride_n you_o see_v then_o in_o what_o wise_a we_o ought_v to_o match_v the_o one_o with_o the_o other_o namely_o that_o by_o reason_n of_o sin_n we_o be_v all_o of_o we_o bereave_v of_o reason_n and_o understanding_n see_v how_o the_o heritage_n which_o we_o have_v of_o our_o father_n adam_n be_v that_o our_o mind_n be_v cumber_v and_o confound_v so_o as_o we_o can_v not_o discern_v the_o thing_n that_o be_v for_o our_o welfare_n but_o draw_v clean_o from_o it_o according_a as_o it_o be_v say_v that_o even_o our_o light_n be_v turn_v into_o darkness_n until_o god_n enlighten_v we_o by_o his_o holy_a spirit_n and_o yet_o nevertheless_o that_o our_o ignorance_n be_v not_o such_o but_o that_o we_o be_v corrupt_v in_o our_o affection_n and_o wipe_v out_o the_o goodness_n which_o god_n may_v put_v into_o we_o and_o because_o our_o nature_n be_v froward_a therefore_o we_o be_v enemy_n unto_o god_n and_o all_o our_o thought_n and_o imagination_n be_v enmity_n too_o his_o righteousness_n according_a as_o saint_n paul_n speak_v in_o the_o eight_o to_o the_o roman_n then_o be_v we_o ignorant_a and_o yet_o in_o the_o mean_a while_n cease_v not_o to_o be_v froward_a we_o know_v not_o which_o way_n to_o go_v and_o yet_o therewithal_o we_o go_v astray_o wilful_o and_o why_o for_o we_o mind_n not_o to_o come_v unto_o god_n no_o we_o must_v be_v fain_o too_o be_v enforce_v thither_o or_o else_o he_o
