low_a as_o he_o be_v before_o yet_o he_o will_v see_v at_o least_o the_o same_o ground_n to_o believe_v we_o he_o do_v see_v at_o the_o first_o i_o speak_v not_o this_o to_o encourage_v any_o any_o to_o renew_v there_o sin_n i_o hope_v you_o will_v not_o make_v so_o bad_a a_o use_n of_o it_o but_o if_o any_o shall_v yet_o be_v the_o doctrine_n of_o grace_n a_o truth_n that_o must_v be_v preach_v though_o some_o shall_v wrest_v it_o to_o their_o own_o destruction_n three_o the_o knowledge_n of_o god_n will_v carry_v a_o man_n through_o the_o worst_a of_o trouble_n if_o he_o shall_v come_v into_o job_n case_n that_o his_o wife_n shall_v be_v strange_a and_o his_o child_n and_o estate_n sweep_v away_o and_o his_o godly_a friend_n turn_v his_o enemy_n yet_o will_v he_o be_v able_a to_o say_v with_o he_o though_o he_o kill_v i_o yet_o i_o will_v and_o i_o can_v trust_v in_o he_o for_o i_o know_v my_o redeemer_n live_v thus_o when_o a_o man_n can_v say_v with_o paul_n i_o know_v who_o i_o have_v believe_v by_o be_v able_a to_o see_v the_o power_n wisdom_n truth_n and_o goodness_n of_o god_n it_o will_v be_v such_o a_o rock_n for_o he_o to_o set_v his_o foot_n upon_o that_o will_v keep_v he_o from_o sink_v in_o the_o worst_a of_o time_n four_o a_o man_n that_o know_v god_n will_v serve_v he_o with_o that_o delight_n that_o another_o man_n can_v do_v a_o ignorant_a man_n may_v be_v convince_v that_o it_o be_v a_o duty_n to_o hear_v and_o to_o pray_v and_o the_o like_a but_o he_o have_v no_o comfort_n in_o these_o ordinance_n but_o yet_o he_o use_v they_o because_o he_o dare_v do_v no_o otherwise_o but_o a_o man_n that_o know_v god_n see_v such_o a_o beauty_n in_o god_n that_o he_o go_v to_o seek_v he_o with_o much_o delight_n he_o know_v they_o be_v mean_n appoint_v of_o god_n to_o bring_v he_o into_o near_a communion_n with_o he_o and_o to_o give_v he_o a_o more_o glorious_a sight_n of_o god_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v a_o work_n well_o pease_v to_o he_o and_o he_o go_v about_o it_o with_o as_o much_o content_a as_o man_n use_v to_o go_v to_o their_o recreation_n but_o the_o other_o go_v to_o the_o same_o work_n as_o one_o go_v to_o a_o trade_n that_o he_o be_v set_v to_o against_o his_o will_n he_o do_v it_o untoward_o and_o unwilling_o and_o will_v get_v from_o it_o if_o he_o can_v and_o so_o will_v the_o man_n from_o duty_n that_o know_v not_o god_n if_o he_o can_v but_o find_v a_o way_n to_o escape_v the_o rebuke_n of_o his_o own_o conscience_n now_o therefore_o i_o pray_v you_o make_v it_o your_o first_o &_o great_a work_n to_o get_v the_o knowledge_n of_o god_n with_o all_o diligence_n seek_v for_o it_o for_o the_o prize_n thereof_o be_v great_a than_o silver_n choice_a gold_n or_o ruby_n therefore_o search_v for_o it_o more_o than_o for_o hide_a treasure_n there_o be_v two_o mean_n that_o i_o will_v direct_v you_o to_o make_v use_n of_o for_o the_o get_n of_o this_o knowledge_n the_o first_o be_v the_o consideration_n of_o the_o work_n of_o god_n if_o a_o man_n do_v but_o humble_o and_o wise_o observe_v his_o great_a work_n they_o will_v show_v forth_o much_o of_o his_o glory_n if_o you_o look_v to_o the_o heaven_n and_o consider_v what_o a_o great_a distance_n they_o be_v spread_v above_o the_o earth_n and_o compass_v it_o round_o about_o and_o see_v those_o glorious_a creature_n the_o sun_n moon_n and_o star_n roll_n about_o to_o serve_v poor_a worm_n and_o lump_n of_o clay_n how_o plain_o will_v they_o teach_v you_o that_o the_o creator_n of_o they_o be_v a_o god_n of_o infinite_a goodness_n for_o before_o ever_o he_o do_v create_v either_o they_o or_o the_o man_n for_o who_o sake_n they_o be_v create_v the_o lord_n do_v perfect_o understand_v all_o the_o wickedness_n that_o will_v in_o time_n be_v commit_v by_o every_o one_o of_o they_o and_o yet_o it_o do_v not_o hinder_v he_o in_o this_o great_a work_n but_o he_o have_v do_v it_o and_o continue_v to_o uphold_v it_o notwithstanding_o all_o that_o unworthiness_n that_o be_v find_v among_o the_o child_n of_o man_n and_o if_o you_o look_v to_o the_o earth_n and_o the_o sea_n and_o see_v they_o hang_v in_o a_o round_a lump_n in_o the_o midst_n of_o the_o heaven_n cleave_v together_o and_o the_o water_n not_o overflow_n the_o earth_n this_o great_a work_n will_v tell_v you_o that_o the_o creator_n thereof_o be_v infinite_a in_o power_n wisdom_n and_o goodness_n and_o if_o you_o consider_v how_o the_o earth_n and_o the_o sea_n be_v store_v with_o variety_n of_o creature_n with_o several_a host_n of_o creature_n and_o yet_o not_o a_o man_n nor_o a_o beast_n nor_o a_o fish_n nor_o a_o fowl_n no_o worm_n nor_o any_o creature_n more_o nor_o less_o but_o god_n take_v care_v every_o day_n how_o they_o shall_v be_v feed_v the_o wild_a beast_n of_o the_o wilderness_n that_o no_o man_n take_v care_n of_o have_v there_o meat_n and_o there_o drink_v every_o day_n from_o the_o hand_n of_o god_n oh_o how_o do_v these_o gracious_a act_n of_o his_o every_o day_n preach_v the_o glory_n of_o his_o great_a name_n to_o all_o consider_v man_n that_o will_v but_o set_v themselves_o to_o mind_n the_o great_a wisdom_n patience_n power_n truth_n
these_o thing_n neither_o do_v you_o follow_v the_o imagination_n of_o your_o own_o heart_n in_o these_o thing_n but_o labour_v to_o get_v a_o distinct_a understanding_n in_o your_o own_o soul_n of_o whatsoever_o be_v to_o be_v believe_v for_o doctrine_n or_o for_o whatsoever_o be_v to_o be_v practise_v in_o matter_n of_o worship_n for_o if_o you_o walk_v in_o darkness_n you_o will_v walk_v uncomfortable_o but_o if_o you_o walk_v in_o the_o light_n and_o knowledge_n of_o his_o will_n your_o walk_a will_n both_o please_v he_o and_o bring_v much_o comfort_n and_o peace_n to_o your_o own_o soul_n use_v 2._o but_o i_o shall_v now_o speak_v one_o word_n to_o provoke_v those_o wretched_a man_n thet_o live_v without_o god_n in_o the_o world_n to_o consider_v of_o their_o condition_n and_o so_o conclude_v i_o beseech_v you_o my_o dear_a friend_n do_v not_o live_v still_o so_o estrange_v from_o the_o life_n of_o god_n neither_o do_v you_o go_v on_o to_o abuse_v his_o mercy_n and_o lovingkindness_n from_o day_n to_o day_n as_o you_o have_v do_v but_o let_v the_o goodness_n and_o long-suffering_a of_o the_o lord_n lead_v you_o to_o repentance_n you_o have_v hear_v what_o a_o god_n of_o holiness_n power_n wisdom_n goodness_n and_o faithfulness_n he_o be_v yea_o what_o a_o eternal_a unchangeable_a invisible_a infinite_a be_v he_o be_v you_o have_v hear_v something_o both_o of_o his_o name_n and_o of_o his_o work_n and_o much_o more_o be_v to_o be_v know_v and_o may_v be_v know_v of_o he_o in_o the_o word_n of_o truth_n and_o will_v you_o continue_v so_o unthankful_a and_o ungodly_a abuse_v this_o grace_n and_o love_n of_o god_n who_o have_v manifest_v himself_o in_o his_o holy_a word_n that_o you_o may_v come_v to_o the_o knowledge_n of_o he_o and_o so_o to_o salvation_n and_o do_v not_o you_o think_v it_o a_o most_o grievous_a sin_n to_o live_v as_o many_o of_o you_o do_v as_o void_a of_o the_o knowledge_n of_o he_o as_o those_o that_o never_o hear_v of_o his_o write_a word_n it_o be_v a_o most_o unthankful_a abuse_n of_o his_o goodness_n o_o where_o will_v such_o man_n be_v glad_a to_o hide_v themselves_o at_o the_o great_a day_n even_o under_o a_o rock_n if_o they_o do_v know_v how_o to_o get_v under_o it_o and_o as_o for_o many_o of_o those_o that_o can_v choose_v but_o know_v something_o of_o god_n how_o unanswerable_a to_o that_o little_a knowledge_n that_o they_o have_v do_v they_o walk_v neither_o love_v nor_o fear_v his_o great_a name_n have_v no_o respect_n at_o all_o to_o his_o worship_n nor_o to_o any_o of_o his_o commandment_n nor_o trust_v in_o he_o at_o all_o no_o more_o than_o if_o he_o have_v never_o make_v they_o any_o promise_n belove_a how_o evident_a be_v these_o thing_n notwithstanding_o all_o that_o god_n have_v make_v know_v of_o himself_o unto_o man_n yet_o how_o little_a love_n have_v they_o for_o he_o and_o how_o little_a zeal_n for_o his_o glory_n love_a pleasure_n profit_n yea_o sin_n itself_o better_a than_o god_n fear_v the_o frown_n of_o man_n more_o than_o the_o displeasure_n of_o he_o and_o trust_v in_o the_o promise_n of_o their_o honest_a neighbour_n yea_o in_o a_o little_a dirty_a wealth_n or_o any_o vanity_n in_o the_o world_n rather_o than_o in_o the_o power_n and_o truth_n of_o god_n cast_v his_o worship_n and_o commandment_n behind_o their_o back_n as_o if_o they_o owe_v he_o no_o service_n now_o i_o pray_v you_o bethink_v yourselves_o how_o you_o shall_v appear_v before_o the_o lord_n at_o the_o great_a day_n and_o how_o he_o will_v take_v it_o at_o your_o hand_n that_o you_o shall_v live_v so_o profane_a a_o life_n be_v alienate_v from_o the_o life_n of_o god_n and_o root_v and_o harden_v in_o all_o wickedness_n as_o if_o you_o have_v never_o know_v nor_o hear_v of_o the_o name_n of_o god_n oh_o repent_v in_o time_n and_o thankful_o embrace_v that_o mean_n of_o grace_n which_o god_n in_o the_o riches_n of_o his_o mercy_n do_v yet_o afford_v unto_o you_o and_o so_o
