a_o part_n of_o the_o new_a in_o the_o first_o way_n as_o it_o belong_v unto_o the_o old_a covenant_n the_o strength_n of_o grace_n which_o we_o have_v original_o from_o god_n under_o the_o law_n of_o creation_n be_v sufficient_a to_o enable_v we_o unto_o all_o that_o holy_a obedience_n which_o be_v require_v therein_o and_o our_o not_o do_v so_o be_v from_o wilful_a rebellion_n and_o not_o from_o any_o impotency_n or_o weakness_n in_o we_o we_o fall_v not_o from_o our_o first_o estate_n for_o want_n of_o power_n to_o obey_v but_o by_o the_o neglect_n of_o the_o exercise_n of_o that_o power_n which_o we_o have_v god_n make_v we_o upright_o but_o we_o seek_v out_o many_o invention_n and_o in_o the_o latter_a way_n as_o it_o belong_v to_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n there_o be_v by_o virtue_n of_o that_o covenant_n a_o supply_n of_o spiritual_a strength_n give_v in_o by_o the_o promise_n unto_o all_o they_o who_o be_v take_v into_o it_o enable_v they_o to_o answer_v the_o command_n for_o holiness_n according_a to_o the_o rule_n of_o the_o acceptance_n of_o their_o obedience_n before_o lay_v down_o no_o man_n who_o be_v instate_v in_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n come_v short_a or_o fail_v of_o the_o performance_n of_o that_o obedience_n which_o be_v require_v and_o accept_v in_o that_o covenant_n mere_o for_o want_v of_o power_n and_o spiritual_a strength_n for_o god_n therein_o according_a to_o his_o divine_a power_n give_v unto_o we_o all_o thing_n that_o pertain_v unto_o life_n and_o godliness_n through_o the_o knowledge_n of_o he_o that_o have_v call_v we_o to_o glory_n and_o virtue_n 1_o pet._n 1._o 3_o sect._n 20_o it_o be_v true_a this_o grace_n or_o strength_n be_v administer_v unto_o they_o by_o certain_a way_n and_o mean_n which_o if_o they_o attend_v not_o unto_o they_o will_v come_v short_a of_o it_o but_o this_o i_o say_v in_o the_o careful_a diligent_a sedulous_a use_n of_o those_o mean_n appoint_v none_o who_o belong_v to_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n shall_v ever_o fail_v of_o that_o power_n and_o ability_n which_o shall_v render_v the_o command_n of_o the_o gospel_n easy_a and_o not_o grievous_a unto_o they_o and_o whereby_o they_o may_v so_o fulfil_v they_o as_o infallible_o to_o be_v accept_v this_o the_o scripture_n be_v plain_a in_o where_o christ_n himself_o tell_v we_o that_o his_o yoke_n be_v easy_a and_o his_o burden_n light_n matth._n 11._o 30._o and_o his_o holy_a apostle_n that_o his_o command_n be_v not_o grievous_a 1_o joh._n 5._o 3._o for_o if_o they_o shall_v exceed_v all_o the_o strength_n which_o we_o either_o have_v or_o he_o be_v please_v to_o give_v unto_o we_o they_o will_v be_v like_o the_o jewish_a ceremony_n a_o yoke_n which_o we_o can_v not_o bear_v and_o a_o law_n not_o only_o disorder_n they_o will_v have_v man_n that_o be_v under_o the_o old_a covenant_n to_o have_v a_o power_n and_o spiritual_a strength_n to_o fulfil_v the_o command_n of_o the_o new_a which_o god_n have_v never_o speak_v of_o nor_o declare_v and_o which_o indeed_o be_v contrary_a to_o the_o whole_a design_n of_o his_o grace_n they_o will_v have_v man_n who_o have_v break_v the_o old_a covenant_n and_o forfeit_v all_o their_o strength_n and_o ability_n which_o they_o have_v by_o it_o for_o obedience_n and_o be_v not_o initiate_v in_o the_o new_a covenant_n yet_o to_o have_v a_o power_n of_o their_o own_o to_o fulfil_v the_o command_n of_o the_o one_o or_o the_o other_o which_o god_n neither_o give_v nor_o be_v oblige_v to_o give_v nor_o be_v it_o necessary_a to_o prove_v that_o the_o command_n be_v equal_a and_o holy_a for_o as_o be_v observe_v god_n give_v we_o no_o command_n of_o holiness_n and_o obedience_n but_o in_o with_o and_o by_o virtue_n of_o some_o covenant_n and_o there_o be_v no_o more_o require_v to_o prove_v they_o to_o be_v just_a and_o equal_a but_o that_o they_o be_v easy_a unto_o they_o who_o walk_v with_o god_n in_o that_o covenant_n whereunto_o they_o do_v belong_v and_o that_o that_o performance_n of_o they_o shall_v be_v accept_v which_o they_o have_v power_n for_o if_o any_o will_v sinful_o cast_v away_o their_o covenant_n interest_n and_o privilege_n as_o we_o do_v all_o that_o of_o our_o original_a creation_n we_o must_v thank_v ourselves_o if_o we_o have_v not_o power_n to_o answer_v its_o command_n nor_o do_v it_o belong_v unto_o the_o equity_n of_o the_o command_n of_o the_o new_a covenant_n that_o those_o who_o be_v not_o yet_o make_v partaker_n of_o it_o by_o grace_n shall_v have_v power_n to_o fulfil_v they_o nay_o if_o they_o have_v so_o and_o shall_v do_v so_o according_o be_v any_o such_o thing_n possible_a it_o will_v not_o avail_v they_o for_o be_v suppose_v not_o as_o yet_o to_o belong_v unto_o the_o new_a covenant_n they_o must_v belong_v unto_o the_o old_a and_o the_o performance_n of_o the_o command_v of_o the_o new_a covenant_n in_o the_o way_n and_o manner_n which_o be_v require_v therein_o will_v not_o avail_v they_o who_o be_v real_o under_o the_o rule_n and_o law_n of_o the_o old_a which_o admit_v of_o nothing_o short_a of_o absolute_a perfection_n but_o what_o the_o law_n speak_v it_o speak_v unto_o they_o that_o be_v under_o the_o law_n and_o what_o the_o gospel_n speak_v it_o speak_v unto_o they_o who_o who_o be_v not_o under_o the_o law_n but_o under_o grace_n and_o the_o formal_a transition_n of_o man_n from_o one_o of_o these_o state_n unto_o another_o be_v by_o a_o act_n of_o god_n grace_n
