head_n and_o shoulder_n for_o every_o saint_n have_v not_o the_o pleriphory_n or_o strong_a faith_n of_o abraham_n the_o meekness_n of_o moses_n the_o patience_n of_o job_n the_o zeal_n of_o josiah_n the_o temperance_n of_o timothy_n or_o the_o diligence_n of_o st._n paul_n who_o be_v say_v to_o have_v labour_v more_o abundant_o than_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o apostle_n all_o indeed_o have_v so_o much_o grace_n as_o be_v necessary_a to_o salvation_n yet_o it_o seem_v they_o have_v not_o all_o the_o same_o eminent_a degree_n and_o measure_n of_o grace_n some_o with_o their_o pound_n do_v only_o gain_v five_o other_o by_o their_o great_a diligence_n gain_v ten_o pound_n as_o we_o have_v it_o in_o the_o know_a parable_n and_o for_o this_o reason_n god_n be_v please_v to_o promise_v high_a degree_n of_o glory_n proportionable_a to_o those_o high_a degree_n of_o grace_n man_n attain_v to_o in_o this_o life_n some_o shall_v have_v their_o aureolae_fw-la as_o the_o schoolman_n speak_v that_o be_v large_a crown_n of_o glory_n than_o ordinary_a saint_n shall_v wear_v and_o those_o adorn_v with_o peculiar_a ensign_n of_o honour_n as_o st._n paul_n tell_v we_o 2_o cor._n 9_o 6._o he_o that_o sow_v spare_o shall_v reap_v spare_o and_o he_o that_o sow_v abundant_o shall_v reap_v abundant_o both_o it_o seem_v shall_v reap_v and_o receive_v the_o reward_n of_o their_o pious_a labour_n but_o yet_o in_o different_a degree_n according_a to_o their_o different_a service_n in_o this_o world_n he_o that_o gain_v but_o five_o pound_n shall_v be_v make_v ruler_n over_o five_o city_n whilst_o he_o that_o gain_v ten_o pound_n shall_v be_v make_v ruler_n over_o ten_o city_n there_o be_v therefore_o a_o further_a growth_n in_o grace_n attainable_a in_o this_o life_n than_o what_o be_v just_o necessary_a to_o salvation_n the_o christian_a therefore_o who_o have_v arrive_v at_o this_o save_a growth_n in_o grace_n be_v bind_v still_o to_o advance_v high_a and_o endeavour_v after_o further_a improvement_n in_o every_o instance_n of_o virtue_n for_o we_o be_v enjoin_v not_o only_o to_o do_v the_o work_n of_o the_o lord_n but_o to_o abound_v in_o it_o not_o only_o to_o grow_v in_o grace_n but_o also_o to_o grow_v till_o we_o be_v perfect_a even_o as_o our_o heavenly_a father_n be_v perfect_a here_o therefore_o be_v work_n enough_o cut_v out_o to_o employ_v all_o our_o faculty_n for_o ever_o and_o though_o we_o shall_v be_v grow_v in_o grace_n to_o all_o eternity_n we_o shall_v still_o fall_v short_a of_o that_o infinite_a standard_n of_o perfection_n whereunto_o we_o be_v oblige_v to_o aspire_v but_o though_o we_o be_v not_o able_a to_o reach_v the_o infinite_a perfection_n of_o god_n yet_o by_o our_o great_a watchfulness_n over_o ourselves_o by_o our_o more_o frequent_a fast_n fervent_a devotion_n zealous_a attendance_n on_o ordinance_n and_o eminent_a work_n of_o charity_n by_o these_o and_o such_o like_a heroic_a exploit_n we_o shall_v more_o near_o resemble_v god_n and_o obtain_v a_o large_a share_n of_o happiness_n whereas_o those_o that_o content_n themselves_o with_o such_o a_o low_a growth_n as_o be_v just_a necessary_a to_o salvation_n shall_v not_o indeed_o forfeit_a heaven_n but_o only_o those_o high_a degree_n of_o happiness_n which_o be_v to_o be_v enjoy_v there_o thus_o i_o have_v dispatch_v the_o three_o general_n and_o show_v you_o that_o there_o be_v a_o further_a growth_n in_o grace_n attainable_a in_o this_o life_n than_o what_o be_v just_o necessary_a to_o salvation_n i_o
