at_o odds_o with_o true_a religion_n that_o be_v a_o mind_n possess_v with_o humility_n and_o innocence_n of_o life_n and_o a_o steadfast_a reliance_n upon_o the_o word_n of_o god_n which_o be_v the_o medium_n through_o which_o our_o reason_n be_v to_o judge_v of_o all_o thing_n reveal_v by_o he_o without_o these_o qualification_n fancy_n and_o ostentation_n too_o often_o usurp_v the_o place_n of_o good_a judgement_n and_o solid_a reason_n and_o not_o seldom_o do_v it_o happen_v that_o the_o most_o pregnant_a part_n when_o accompany_v with_o profaneness_n and_o pride_n and_o impiety_n serve_v only_o to_o set_v the_o owner_n of_o they_o so_o much_o the_o far_o out_o of_o their_o way_n from_o serious_a knowledge_n and_o divine_a truth_n for_o the_o understanding_n of_o these_o thing_n do_v not_o arise_v so_o much_o from_o high_a speculation_n as_o from_o conscientious_a practice_n and_o receive_v improvement_n from_o keep_v the_o commandment_n of_o god_n and_o as_o to_o every_o science_n a_o particular_a genius_n and_o aptitude_n be_v require_v in_o the_o learner_n so_o there_o be_v to_o this_o piety_n humility_n and_o uncorruptness_n of_o life_n always_o necessary_a without_o which_o knowledge_n puff_v up_o as_o the_o apostle_n of_o christ_n tell_v we_o but_o will_v never_o edify_v unless_o to_o our_o faith_n we_o add_v virtue_n and_o then_o and_o after_o that_o knowledge_n to_o virtue_n and_o even_o still_o we_o must_v be_v add_v to_o our_o knowledge_n add_v unto_o it_o temperance_n patience_n godliness_n brotherly_a kindness_n and_o charity_n for_o if_o these_o thing_n be_v in_o you_o and_o abound_v they_o will_v make_v you_o that_o you_o shall_v neither_o be_v barren_a nor_o unfruitful_a in_o the_o knowledge_n of_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n but_o he_o that_o lack_v these_o thing_n he_o the_o apostle_n say_v be_v blind_a 2_o pet._n 1.5_o indeed_o a_o full_a and_o clear_a perception_n of_o all_o the_o great_a mystery_n of_o our_o redemption_n be_v never_o to_o be_v attain_v in_o this_o life_n be_v as_o we_o may_v humble_o presume_v reserve_v to_o make_v up_o the_o great_a part_n of_o our_o beatitude_n in_o heaven_n nor_o even_o in_o that_o estate_n shall_v the_o knowledge_n of_o all_o man_n be_v equal_a but_o proportion_v to_o the_o capacity_n of_o the_o vessel_n yet_o they_o we_o may_v reasonable_o believe_v will_v have_v the_o most_o degree_n of_o perfection_n who_o exalt_a love_n and_o eminent_a piety_n shall_v place_v in_o the_o high_a station_n of_o glory_n and_o that_o the_o same_o virtue_n will_v in_o the_o best_a manner_n prepare_v and_o enlarge_v our_o soul_n in_o this_o life_n for_o the_o reception_n of_o all_o heavenly_a wisdom_n for_o a_o good_a man_n experience_n that_o a_o life_n spend_v in_o justice_n and_o integrity_n tend_v more_o to_o
