presbyterian_o independent_o and_o some_o other_o be_v both_o gather_v and_o constitute_v as_o distinct_a peoples_n and_o as_o such_o both_o minister_n and_o their_o people_n many_o of_o they_o concern_v in_o the_o late_a war_n how_o far_o both_o in_o preach_v subscription_n and_o act_n be_v also_o well_o know_v yet_o hope_v that_o some_o of_o they_o have_v learn_v better_a thing_n ere_o this_o time_n a_o day_n so_o that_o in_o this_o case_n there_o be_v a_o vast_a disparity_n between_o they_o and_o the_o people_n call_v quaker_n therefore_o the_o very_a ground_n and_o foundation_n of_o john_n pennyman_n quarrel_n against_o we_o in_o this_o matter_n as_o be_v so_o great_o engage_v in_o the_o late_a war_n and_o justifier_n of_o what_o have_v be_v do_v that_o be_v all_o that_o may_v lead_v they_o to_o fight_v with_o carnal_a weapon_n etc._n etc._n since_o our_o testimony_n and_o judgmment_n have_v always_o be_v to_o the_o contrary_a to_o wit_n that_o our_o weapon_n be_v not_o carnal_a but_o spiritual_a and_o mighty_a through_o god_n and_o we_o wrestle_v not_o with_o flesh_n and_o blood_n but_o with_o spiritual_a wickedness_n and_o we_o war_v not_o after_o the_o flesh_n nor_o with_o a_o carnal_a sword_n but_o with_o the_o sword_n of_o the_o spirit_n which_o be_v the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o if_o any_o one_o have_v write_v to_o any_o in_o power_n to_o this_o effect_n viz._n that_o if_o they_o will_v walk_v with_o the_o lord_n and_o preserve_v his_o people_n the_o numberless_a number_n of_o this_o now_o distress_a people_n will_v be_v to_o they_o a_o strength_n and_o stand_v by_o they_o in_o the_o day_n of_o trouble_n and_o be_v a_o defence_n unto_o they_o according_a to_o what_o be_v cite_v he_o howbeit_o this_o be_v not_o a_o proof_n that_o the_o people_n call_v quaker_n intend_v to_o fight_v for_o r._n cromwell_n or_o any_o in_o authority_n see_v there_o be_v other_o and_o better_a way_n of_o defence_n for_o a_o government_n than_o fight_v by_o carnal_a weapon_n as_o righteousness_n which_o exalt_v a_o nation_n the_o prayer_n and_o faith_n of_o true_a christian_n and_o believer_n which_o be_v the_o mind_n and_o practice_n of_o the_o primitive_a christian_n for_o those_o in_o authority_n not_o exclude_v their_o civil_a contribution_n tax_n custom_n and_o due_n which_o have_v be_v our_o practice_n to_o pay_v since_o we_o be_v a_o people_n and_o that_o nation_n and_o government_n be_v not_o always_o defend_v by_o fight_v carnal_a weapon_n etc._n etc._n but_o by_o a_o better_a way_n and_o mean_n to_o wit_n the_o fear_n of_o the_o lord_n according_a to_o his_o law_n observe_v this_o instance_n in_o the_o time_n of_o king_n jehosaphat_n reign_v when_o he_o seek_v to_o the_o lord_n god_n
