be_v a_o false_a definition_n of_o the_o temple_n which_o the_o papist_n make_v that_o it_o be_v a_o house_n build_v with_o stone_n &_o timber_n to_o the_o honour_n of_o god_n what_o this_o temple_n be_v they_o themselves_o know_v not_o for_o the_o temple_n of_o solomon_n be_v not_o therefore_o beautiful_a because_o it_o be_v adorn_v with_o gold_n and_o silver_n and_o other_o precious_a ornament_n but_o the_o true_a beauty_n of_o that_o temple_n be_v because_o in_o that_o place_n the_o people_n hear_v the_o word_n of_o the_o lord_n call_v upon_o his_o name_n find_v he_o merciful_a thus_o in_o a_o christian_a heaviness_n can_v take_v no_o place_n if_o in_o his_o heart_n he_o do_v acknowledge_v baptism_n the_o word_n the_o communion_n of_o the_o body_n and_o blood_n of_o christ_n the_o grace_n the_o favour_n and_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n how_o can_v he_o then_o but_o rejoice_v and_o be_v glad_a but_o because_o we_o often_o time_n suffer_v the_o word_n and_o these_o gift_n of_o god_n to_o be_v take_v from_o we_o and_o turn_v our_o eye_n a_o other_o way_n it_o can_v not_o be_v but_o that_o heaviness_n and_o terror_n must_v needs_o follow_v and_o this_o come_v to_o pass_v by_o the_o fault_n partly_o of_o ourselves_o as_o i_o have_v say_v and_o partly_o of_o satan_n who_o lead_v we_o from_o the_o word_n before_o we_o be_v ware_n and_o make_v we_o to_o think_v of_o our_o sceptre_n but_o a_o godly_a order_a common_a wealth_n in_o the_o which_o innocence_n may_v safe_o dwell_v and_o contrariwise_o sin_n and_o wickedness_n may_v be_v severe_o punish_v all_o these_o thing_n he_o pray_v for_o when_o he_o desire_v that_o the_o face_n of_o the_o anoint_a may_v not_o be_v take_v away_o now_o the_o cause_n why_o he_o desire_v these_o thing_n be_v for_o that_o this_o day_n in_o the_o papacy_n so_o the_o true_a church_n be_v oppress_v of_o tyrant_n oppugn_v of_o false_a brethren_n suffer_v the_o contempt_n and_o hatred_n of_o the_o world_n and_o in_o outward_a appearance_n be_v every_o hour_n ready_a to_o perish_v here_o it_o be_v necessary_a that_o the_o godly_a shall_v raise_v up_o themselves_o with_o a_o trust_n in_o the_o mercy_n and_o promise_n of_o obedience_n and_o godliness_n so_o be_v it_o to_o be_v wish_v that_o in_o the_o church_n there_o may_v be_v unity_n and_o concord_n promise_n and_o that_o there_o may_v be_v no_o offence_n either_o in_o doctrine_n or_o life_n that_o prince_n and_o magistrate_n will_v not_o hate_v or_o persecute_v but_o like_v love_n &_o embrace_v the_o word_n notwithstanding_o such_o a_o common_a wealth_n and_o such_o a_o church_n may_v well_o be_v paint_v out_o of_o a_o cunning_a artificer_n but_o in_o this_o world_n they_o can_v never_o yet_o be_v find_v wherefore_o let_v we_o not_o look_v to_o see_v the_o face_n either_o of_o such_o a_o quiet_a common_a wealth_n or_o of_o so_o pure_a a_o church_n but_o herewith_o let_v we_o content_v ourselves_o that_o the_o church_n and_o common_a wealth_n although_o they_o be_v not_o without_o great_a trouble_n and_o danger_n do_v not_o utter_o perish_v that_o there_o be_v some_o majesty_n in_o the_o common_a wealth_n and_o in_o the_o church_n pure_a and_o behold_v and_o consider_v the_o history_n of_o all_o age_n and_o you_o shall_v see_v that_o the_o church_n have_v be_v always_o oppress_v &_o hide_v through_o the_o tyranny_n of_o prince_n and_o through_o the_o lie_v and_o slander_n of_o heretic_n moreover_o the_o godly_a have_v never_o be_v without_o their_o tentation_n through_o the_o consideration_n of_o their_o sin_n and_o vexation_n of_o the_o devil_n these_o thing_n he_o that_o behold_v and_o still_o fix_v his_o eye_n upon_o these_o evil_n shall_v think_v that_o there_o be_v no_o church_n nor_o yet_o any_o god_n at_o all_o but_o of_o nor_o wrinkle_n but_o such_o a_o church_n outward_o you_o shall_v never_o see_v for_o it_o be_v always_o oppress_v of_o tyrant_n vex_v of_o heretic_n exercise_v with_o affliction_n both_o inward_o and_o outward_o with_o disobedience_n contempt_n falsehood_n dissimulation_n of_o false_a brethren_n etc_n etc_n in_o all_o these_o danger_n we_o must_v hold_v fast_o this_o consolation_n that_o the_o
