well_o doer_n reward_n of_o good_a and_o revenge_n of_o evil_a be_v the_o sinew_n of_o each_o commonwealth_n i_o may_v not_o deny_v but_o mercy_n on_o the_o penitent_a where_o the_o man_n be_v not_o both_o from_o god_n the_o signification_n of_o a_o crown_n david_n show_v where_o he_o say_v to_o god_n 8._o thou_o have_v crown_v he_o with_o honour_n and_o glory_n and_o the_o approbation_n of_o the_o crown_n that_o prince_n wear_v he_o likewise_o refer_v to_o god_n in_o say_v 21._o thou_o do_v set_v a_o crown_n of_o pure_a gold_n upon_o his_o head_n not_o meaning_n it_o be_v god_n act_n but_o his_o ordinance_n that_o crown_n be_v set_v on_o prince_n head_n there_o remain_v the_o end_n why_o all_o this_o power_n and_o honour_n be_v give_v to_o prince_n of_o god_n which_o be_v the_o preserve_n of_o his_o heretage_n god_n have_v not_o lift_v they_o to_o this_o height_n either_o to_o forget_v he_o who_o advance_v they_o or_o to_o neglect_v those_o of_o who_o they_o have_v charge_n but_o to_o convert_v all_o their_o authority_n and_o dignity_n to_o the_o faithful_a discharge_n of_o their_o duty_n and_o this_o be_v god_n ordinance_n no_o less_o than_o the_o former_a for_o god_n erect_v no_o power_n against_o himself_o but_o under_o he_o neither_o do_v he_o ordain_v they_o for_o themselves_o but_o for_o other_o head_n be_v to_o moderate_v their_o body_n shepherds_z to_o guide_v their_o flock_n father_n to_o nourish_v their_o child_n master_n to_o restrain_v their_o servant_n &_o so_o be_v prince_n to_o govern_v their_o realm_n in_o the_o prince_n duty_n i_o may_v be_v short_a because_o i_o speak_v before_o a_o religious_a and_o learned_a king_n who_o both_o by_o pen_n and_o practice_v these_o many_o year_n have_v witness_v to_o the_o world_n how_o well_o adultery_n incest_n rape_n robbery_n perjury_n conspiracy_n witchcraft_n murder_n rebellion_n treason_n and_o such_o like_a heinous_a and_o impious_a enormity_n which_o will_v overflow_v each_o kingdom_n and_o country_n if_o the_o prince_n sword_n do_v not_o take_v due_a revenge_n of_o the_o doer_n and_o committer_n of_o such_o outrage_n to_o these_o commodity_n of_o public_a authority_n when_o godliness_n be_v join_v that_o under_o christian_a prince_n we_o may_v enjoy_v safety_n sobriety_n and_o piety_n what_o great_a blessing_n can_v be_v desire_v in_o this_o life_n except_o the_o inward_a grace_n and_o gift_n of_o god_n spirit_n which_o he_o reserve_v to_o his_o own_o power_n and_o choice_n so_o that_o no_o subjection_n nor_o service_n of_o we_o to_o superior_a power_n can_v match_v the_o good_a thing_n which_o we_o receive_v by_o their_o government_n and_o therefore_o no_o marvel_n if_o god_n so_o sharp_o threaten_v and_o punish_v the_o resister_n of_o his_o will_n work_n he_o have_v in_o hand_n never_o call_v any_o man_n to_o serve_v he_o who_o he_o do_v not_o furnish_v with_o gift_n according_a workman_n he_o will_v have_v none_o to_o the_o make_n or_o deck_v of_o his_o tabernacle_n but_o such_o as_o he_o replenish_v with_o the_o spirit_n of_o understanding_n for_o that_o purpose_n prophet_n he_o never_o send_v any_o but_o with_o his_o word_n in_o their_o
