of_o parliament_n propose_v that_o such_o subject_n of_o the_o crown_n of_o england_n as_o have_v serve_v the_o enemy_n and_o have_v not_o conform_v to_o the_o ordinance_n of_o parliament_n may_v be_v remove_v out_o of_o that_o army_n the_o committee_n of_o estate_n do_v return_v a_o most_o satisfactory_a answer_n condescend_v hearty_o to_o the_o proposition_n and_o desire_v from_o the_o say_a commissioner_n a_o list_n of_o the_o name_n of_o such_o person_n that_o they_o may_v instant_o be_v discharge_v promise_v also_o that_o they_o themselves_o shall_v diligent_o inquire_v after_o they_o and_o make_v it_o appear_v how_o cordial_o they_o love_v and_o honour_v the_o parliament_n of_o this_o kingdom_n all_o which_o be_v more_o full_o express_v in_o the_o paper_n themselves_o thereafter_o about_o the_o time_n of_o the_o removal_n of_o our_o army_n from_o newark_n the_o commissioner_n of_o parliament_n according_a to_o such_o information_n as_o they_o have_v deliver_v in_o a_o list_n of_o the_o person_n wherein_o there_o be_v name_v divers_a of_o our_o army_n upon_o a_o mistake_n they_o be_v of_o the_o same_o name_n with_o some_o that_o have_v serve_v against_o the_o parliament_n but_o themselves_o to_o the_o perfect_a knowledge_n of_o the_o committee_n have_v never_o serve_v against_o the_o parliament_n yea_o have_v come_n in_o with_o that_o army_n at_o their_o entry_n into_o this_o kingdom_n and_o as_o to_o any_o other_o in_o that_o list_n the_o committee_n return_v this_o answer_n that_o according_a to_o the_o former_a engagement_n in_o their_o answer_n of_o the_o 17._o of_o april_n such_o person_n shall_v be_v remove_v out_o of_o the_o army_n their_o willingness_n to_o execute_v justice_n have_v be_v manifest_v in_o the_o case_n of_o other_o offender_n as_o well_o as_o those_o who_o have_v be_v in_o arm_n against_o the_o parliament_n upon_o some_o complaint_n against_o the_o reformado_n that_o be_v in_o that_o army_n by_o order_n of_o the_o committee_n of_o estate_n they_o be_v forthwith_o discharge_v and_o remove_v out_o of_o the_o army_n and_o upon_o some_o disorder_n commit_v by_o other_o a_o council_n of_o war_n be_v call_v and_o the_o person_n guilty_a condemn_v and_o execute_v it_o be_v true_a the_o commissioner_n of_o the_o two_o house_n deliver_v a_o protestation_n against_o that_o way_n of_o proceed_v by_o a_o council_n of_o war_n of_o the_o officer_n of_o the_o same_o regiment_n to_o who_o the_o delinquent_n do_v belong_v but_o it_o be_v after_o the_o council_n of_o war_n have_v meet_v and_o the_o person_n be_v sentence_v and_o concern_v that_o way_n of_o procedure_v we_o desire_v it_o may_v be_v consider_v that_o it_o be_v the_o constant_a way_n of_o the_o military_a discipline_n of_o scotland_n as_o it_o be_v in_o germany_n and_o many_o other_o place_n of_o the_o world_n and_o which_o every_o regiment_n claim_v as_o their_o proper_a privilege_n some_o other_o have_v be_v late_o put_v to_o death_n and_o what_o more_o can_v be_v require_v at_o their_o hand_n as_o to_o the_o complaint_n of_o the_o country_n of_o their_o great_a burden_n it_o be_v no_o wonder_n see_v one_o corner_n thereof_o sustain_v the_o burden_n of_o the_o maintenance_n of_o that_o army_n when_o it_o shall_v be_v equal_o lay_v upon_o the_o whole_a kingdom_n for_o remedy_n whereof_o the_o army_n and_o we_o in_o their_o name_n have_v with_o much_o importunity_n desire_v from_o the_o parliament_n mean_v to_o relieve_v they_o as_o to_o supply_v themselves_o and_o they_o be_v most_o willing_a to_o allow_v in_o their_o account_n what_o they_o receive_v in_o their_o quarter_n and_o have_v often_o desire_v commissioner_n to_o be_v send_v down_o to_o concur_v with_o they_o to_o adjust_a the_o particular_n and_o if_o they_o know_v of_o any_o other_o way_n to_o keep_v themselves_o from_o disband_v or_o starve_v but_o by_o take_v of_o quarter_n in_o the_o country_n when_o no_o mois_n provide_v for_o they_o they_o will_v most_o hearty_o embrace_v it_o when_o we_o shall_v know_v any_o other_o particular_a complaint_n concern_v disorder_n in_o that_o army_n we_o shall_v be_v ready_a to_o give_v speedy_a just_a and_o satisfactory_a answer_n this_o we_o can_v say_v for_o the_o present_a that_o although_o warrant_n have_v be_v issue_v out_o to_o invite_v the_o country_n to_o present_v their_o complaint_n concern_v disorder_n commit_v in_o our_o army_n the_o like_v not_o being-done_a concern_v disorder_n among_o the_o english_a force_n yet_o upon_o the_o knowledge_n and_o proof_n of_o any_o offence_n so_o complain_v of_o justice_z be_v do_v which_o be_v the_o most_o that_o can_v be_v require_v although_o likewise_o all_o the_o time_n our_o amy_n be_v before_o newark_n our_o foot_n soldier_n have_v only_a penny_n half_a penny_n per_fw-la diem_fw-la in_o money_n and_o provision_n whereas_o the_o english_a soldier_n employ_v in_o the_o same_o service_n with_o they_o have_v eight_o penny_n per_fw-la diem_fw-la and_o twelve_o penny_n every_o three_o day_n when_o they_o do_v work_v and_o although_o strict_a disdipline_n and_o justice_n against_o all_o abuse_n use_v not_o to_o be_v expect_v from_o a_o army_n which_o receive_v so_o little_a of_o their_o pay_n yet_o there_o have_v be_v more_o strictness_n in_o punish_v offender_n in_o that_o army_n then_o among_o those_o who_o be_v much_o better_o pay_v we_o desire_v not_o to_o asperse_v any_o but_o only_o to_o vindicate_v the_o reputation_n of_o our_o own_o army_n and_o to_o move_v the_o honourable_a house_n to_o take_v some_o more_o real_a and_o effectual_a course_n for_o supply_v their_o want_n and_o that_o they_o may_v be_v please_v for_o prevent_v of_o further_a difference_n and_o for_o the_o great_a ease_n of_o the_o country_n to_o give_v order_n to_o the_o committee_n at_o york_n for_o the_o quarter_a of_o the_o english_a force_n and_o we_o in_o the_o most_o convenient_a place_n as_o likewise_o for_o send_v to_o we_o a_o considerable_a proportion_n of_o money_n to_o discharge_v their_o quarter_n and_o relieve_v their_o extreme_a necessity_n it_o be_v not_o light_v but_o grievous_a to_o we_o to_o hear_v of_o any_o disorder_n at_o all_o commit_v by_o any_o person_n in_o that_o army_n how_o great_a soever_o the_o necessity_n be_v unto_o which_o they_o be_v redact_v or_o that_o our_o army_n shall_v be_v any_o long_a burdensome_a to_o this_o kingdom_n and_o we_o do_v in_o the_o name_n of_o that_o kingdom_n and_o army_n declare_v and_o assure_v that_o as_o they_o come_v into_o this_o kingdom_n upon_o a_o earnest_a invitation_n from_o both_o house_n of_o parliament_n and_o for_o the_o end_v express_v in_o the_o covenant_n and_o treaty_n and_o declaration_n of_o both_o kingdom_n the_o close_a whereof_o do_v express_v the_o resolution_n of_o both_o to_o have_v truth_n and_o peace_n settle_v upon_o a_o firm_a foundation_n before_o their_o lay_v down_o of_o arm_n so_o their_o continuance_n neither_o be_v nor_o shall_v be_v make_v use_n of_o to_o the_o least_o encroachment_n upon_o the_o government_n of_o this_o kingdom_n nor_o to_o any_o other_o end_v beside_o those_o express_v in_o the_o covenant_n and_o treaty_n and_o how_o soon_o soever_o religion_n and_o peace_n shall_v be_v settle_v according_o our_o army_n and_o garrison_n shall_v forthwith_o remove_v out_o of_o this_o kingdom_n and_o these_o thing_n we_o shall_v wish_v may_v be_v speedy_o do_v and_o that_o the_o proposition_n for_o a_o safe_a and_o wellgrounded_n peace_n which_o do_v for_o a_o very_a short_a time_n remain_v in_o our_o hand_n may_v now_o after_o so_o long_a expectation_n be_v send_v to_o the_o king_n that_o upon_o his_o royal_a consent_n to_o the_o desire_n of_o his_o people_n for_o settle_v and_o secure_v of_o religion_n and_o peace_n his_o majesty_n may_v return_v to_o his_o parliament_n here_o all_o army_n may_v be_v disband_v the_o heavy_a pressure_n of_o the_o subject_n end_v and_o the_o kingdom_n may_v remain_v in_o a_o firm_a peace_n and_o union_n to_o all_o posterity_n according_a to_o the_o solemn_a league_n and_o covenant_n 3._o june_n 1646._o finis_fw-la
