of_o george_n carew_n thomas_n gould_n and_o john_n culpeper_n esquire_n on_o behalf_n of_o themselves_o and_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o creditor_n of_o sir_n william_n courten_n and_o sir_n paul_n pinder_n knight_n decease_a showeth_n that_o king_n carl_n the_o first_o of_o ever_o bless_a memory_n for_o the_o ordinary_a support_n of_o himself_o in_o his_o royal_a estate_n at_o home_n and_o for_o the_o necessary_a supply_n of_o his_o ambassador_n abroad_o borrow_a several_a great_a sum_n of_o money_n of_o sir_n william_n courten_n and_o sir_n paul_n pinder_n and_o other_o amount_v to_o 150000._o pound_n and_o upward_o which_o be_v take_v up_o by_o the_o say_a sir_n william_n and_o sir_n paul_n and_o other_o of_o several_a man_n upon_o bond_n that_o many_o of_o those_o person_n be_v since_o decease_v together_o and_o have_v leave_v their_o widow_n and_o orphan_n in_o a_o sad_a and_o perish_a condition_n for_o want_n of_o bread_n that_o for_o security_n and_o re-payment_n of_o the_o say_a money_n with_o interest_n his_o late_a majesty_n do_v for_o himself_o his_o heir_n and_o successor_n before_o the_o year_n 1640._o by_o letter_n patent_n under_o the_o great_a seal_n of_o england_n and_o other_o assignment_n upon_o the_o land_n and_o revenue_n within_o the_o snrvey_n of_o the_o exchequer_n give_v warrant_n and_o commandment_n to_o the_o lord_n high_a treasurer_n chancellor_n vnder-treasurer_n chamberlain_n and_o baron_n of_o the_o exchequer_n for_o the_o time_n be_v to_o pay_v the_o say_a debt_n that_o there_o be_v yet_o notwithstanding_o rest_v due_a unpay_v of_o the_o say_a debt_n the_o sum_n of_o 140000._o pound_n or_o thereabouts_o as_o by_o the_o book_n of_o issue_n remain_v with_o sir_n robert_n pie_n auditor_n of_o the_o receipt_n and_o the_o be_v not_o due_o answer_v by_o the_o clergy_n into_o your_o majesty_n exchequer_n according_a to_o law_n and_o the_o right_n of_o proportion_n which_o belong_v to_o the_o crown_n of_o england_n there_o be_v great_a improvement_n make_v of_o new-building_n drain_n of_o fen_n take_v in_o of_o sea-ground_n break_v up_o of_o park_n and_o chase_n increase_v of_o rent_n and_o many_o other_o way_n of_o advantage_n and_o profit_n to_o the_o clergy_n which_o ought_v to_o be_v according_o consider_v to_o your_o majesty_n and_o pay_v in_o proportion_n into_o your_o exchequer_n as_o a_o mean_n to_o give_v satisfaction_n to_o your_o petitioner_n most_o just_a demand_n the_o premise_n consider_v and_o for_o as_o much_o as_o your_o petitioner_n may_v be_v partly_o satisfy_v out_o of_o the_o
