kingdom_n assist_v and_o defend_v all_o those_o that_o take_v the_o covenant_n and_o shall_v not_o suffer_v themselves_o direct_o or_o indirect_o by_o whatsoever_o combination_n persuasion_n or_o three_o kingdom_n against_o papist_n prelate_n disturber_n and_o opposer_n of_o such_o peace_n r_o paper_n in_o divers_a case_n it_o can_v be_v deny_v but_o the_o obligation_n of_o a_o oath_n or_o covenant_n do_v cease_v as_o when_o we_o swear_v homage_n and_o fealty_n to_o our_o lord_n and_o superior_a who_o afterward_o cease_v to_o be_v our_o lord_n and_o superior_a than_o the_o formal_a cause_n of_o the_o oath_n be_v take_v away_o and_o therefore_o the_o obligation_n sublato_fw-la relato_fw-la tollitur_fw-la correlatum_fw-la admit_v that_o the_o three_o kingdom_n have_v be_v in_o imminent_a danger_n of_o invasion_n from_o a_o foreign_a enemy_n and_o the_o subject_n shall_v for_o the_o defence_n thereof_o enter_v into_o a_o solemn_a league_n in_o these_o word_n whereas_o a_o league_n and_o covenant_n for_o strengthen_v the_o three_o kingdom_n be_v think_v a_o safe_a and_o necessary_a mean_n conduce_v thereunto_o that_o they_o will_v resist_v prevent_v and_o bring_v to_o public_a trial_n all_o wilful_a opposer_n of_o the_o safety_n of_o the_o say_a kingdom_n with_o sow_v other_o subordinate_a clause_n and_o branch_n in_o the_o covenant_n as_o namely_o that_o they_o will_v maintain_v the_o chief_a governor_n of_o they_o in_o his_o just_a power_n etc._n etc._n let_v it_o be_v the_o king_n himself_o or_o some_o other_o supreme_a power_n equal_a to_o the_o king_n
