c_o r_o dieu_fw-fr et_fw-fr mon_fw-fr droit_fw-fr honi_fw-fr soit_fw-fr qvi_fw-fr mal_fw-fr y_fw-fr pense_fw-fr â§_o by_o the_o king_n a_o proclamation_n for_o apprehension_n of_o edward_n whalley_n and_o william_n goffe_n charles_n r._n forasmuch_o as_o edward_n whalley_n common_o know_v by_o the_o name_n of_o colonel_n whalley_n and_o william_n goffe_n common_o call_v colonel_n goffe_n be_v among_o other_o by_o a_o act_n of_o this_o present_a parliament_n entitle_v a_o act_n of_o free_a and_o general_a pardon_n indemnity_n and_o oblivion_n whole_o except_v from_o pardon_n and_o leave_v to_o be_v proceed_v against_o as_o traitor_n for_o their_o execrable_a treason_n in_o sentence_n to_o death_n sign_v the_o instrument_n for_o the_o horrid_a murder_n or_o be_v instrumental_a in_o take_v away_o the_o precious_a life_n of_o our_o late_a dear_a father_n of_o bless_a memory_n and_o forasmuch_o as_o they_o the_o say_a edward_n whalley_n and_o william_n goffe_n have_v absent_v and_o withdraw_v themselves_o and_o flee_v as_o we_o have_v be_v inform_v to_o the_o part_n beyond_o the_o sea_n be_v now_o as_o we_o certain_o understand_v late_o return_v into_o our_o kingdom_n of_o england_n and_o do_v private_o lurk_v and_o obscure_v themselves_o in_o place_n unknown_a we_o therefore_o have_v think_v fit_a by_o and_o with_o the_o advice_n of_o our_o privy_a council_n to_o publish_v the_o same_o to_o all_o our_o love_a subject_n not_o doubt_v of_o their_o care_n and_o forwardness_n in_o their_o apprehension_n and_o we_o do_v hereby_o require_v and_o command_v aswell_o all_o and_o singular_a our_o judge_n justice_n of_o the_o peace_n mayor_n sheriff_n bailiff_n constable_n and_o headborough_n as_o also_o the_o officer_n and_o minister_n of_o our_o port_n and_o other_o our_o subject_n whatsoever_o within_o our_o realm_n of_o england_n scotland_n ireland_n or_o dominion_n of_o wales_n and_o all_o other_o our_o dominion_n and_o territory_n to_o be_v diligent_a in_o inquire_v search_v for_o seize_v and_o apprehend_v they_o the_o say_a edward_n whalley_n and_o william_n goffe_n in_o all_o place_n whatsoever_o aswell_o within_o liberty_n as_o without_o who_o if_o they_o shall_v happen_v to_o take_v and_o apprehend_v our_o further_a will_n and_o pleasure_n be_v that_o they_o cause_v they_o and_o either_o of_o they_o so_o apprehend_v to_o be_v safe_o carry_v to_o the_o next_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n to_o the_o place_n where_o they_o or_o either_o of_o they_o shall_v be_v arrest_v who_o we_o straight_o command_v to_o commit_v they_o and_o either_o of_o they_o to_o prison_n and_o present_o inform_v we_o or_o our_o privy_a council_n of_o their_o or_o either_o of_o their_o apprehension_n and_o we_o do_v hereby_o further_o declare_v and_o publish_v that_o if_o any_o person_n or_o person_n after_o this_o our_o proclamation_n publish_v shall_v direct_o or_o indirect_o conceal_v harbour_n keep_v retain_v or_o maintain_v the_o say_a edward_n whalley_n and_o william_n goffe_n or_o either_o of_o they_o or_o shall_v contrive_v or_o connive_v at_o any_o mean_n whereby_o they_o or_o either_o of_o they_o shall_v or_o may_v escape_v from_o be_v take_v or_o arrest_v or_o shall_v not_o use_v their_o best_a endeavour_n for_o their_o and_o either_o of_o their_o apprehension_n aswell_o by_o give_v due_a advertisement_n thereof_o to_o our_o officer_n as_o by_o all_o other_o good_a mean_n we_o will_v as_o there_o be_v just_a cause_n proceed_v against_o they_o that_o shall_v so_o neglect_v this_o our_o commandment_n with_o all_o severity_n and_o last_o we_o do_v hereby_o declare_v that_o whosoever_o shall_v discover_v the_o say_a edward_n whalley_n or_o william_n goffe_n either_o within_o our_o kingdom_n of_o england_n scotland_n ireland_n or_o dominion_n of_o wales_n or_o in_o any_o other_o our_o dominion_n and_o territory_n or_o elsewhere_o and_o shall_v cause_v they_o or_o either_o of_o they_o to_o be_v apprehend_v and_o bring_v in_o alive_a or_o dead_a if_o they_o or_o either_o of_o they_o attempt_v resistance_n happen_v to_o be_v slay_v shall_v have_v a_o reward_n of_o one_o hundred_o pound_n in_o money_n for_o each_o of_o they_o so_o bring_v in_o dead_a or_o alive_a as_o aforesaid_a to_o be_v forthwith_o pay_v unto_o he_o in_o recompense_n of_o such_o his_o service_n give_v at_o our_o court_n at_o whitehall_n the_o two_o and_o twenty_o day_n of_o september_n in_o the_o twelve_o year_n of_o our_o reign_n london_n print_v by_o christopher_n barker_n and_o john_n bill_n printer_n to_o the_o king_n most_o excellent_a majesty_n 1660._o
