priest_n or_o you_o be_v protestant_n reform_v in_o part_n from_o the_o superstition_n and_o idolatry_n of_o the_o papist_n or_o you_o be_v of_o the_o episcopal_a or_o presbyterian_a or_o independent_a or_o anabaptist_n or_o five_o monarchy_n or_o quaker_n society_n but_o you_o have_v be_v merciful_a you_o have_v show_v forth_o the_o nature_n of_o your_o heavenly_a father_n who_o be_v love_n and_o mercy_n and_o therefore_o now_o mercy_n be_v extend_v to_o you_o for_o see_v god_n be_v love_n sure_o he_o must_v needs_o have_v most_o respect_n to_o his_o own_o nature_n where_o it_o some_o go_v mourning_n and_o full_a of_o heavyness_n not_o account_v themselves_o worthy_a of_o it_o but_o yet_o long_v after_o it_o and_o the_o glory_n of_o his_o kingdom_n be_v inward_a the_o the_o profession_n of_o christianity_n to_o act_v the_o devil_n part_n in_o the_o name_n of_o christ_n and_o that_o make_v it_o a_o mystery_n to_o teach_v tradition_n of_o man_n and_o their_o invention_n for_o precept_n of_o christ_n which_o be_v always_o call_v whoredom_n among_o the_o jew_n and_o be_v so_o among_o christian_n to_o teach_v lie_n in_o hypocrisy_n to_o teach_v murder_n as_o a_o precept_n of_o christ_n as_o all_o persecutor_n who_o profess_v religion_n must_v do_v this_o be_v to_o hold_v out_o the_o devil_n work_v in_o the_o name_n of_o christ_n now_o such_o apostasy_n belong_v thereunto_o obj._n but_o one_o objection_n more_o may_v seem_v very_o material_a and_o weighty_a to_o many_o namely_o thus_o in_o this_o treatise_n of_o essential_a christianity_n why_o be_v there_o no_o mention_n make_v of_o baptism_n and_o the_o lord_n supper_n and_o of_o preach_v the_o word_n and_o prayer_n be_v not_o these_o essential_a thing_n in_o christianity_n and_o why_o be_v these_o leave_v out_o answ_n i_o answer_v i_o do_v not_o leave_v they_o out_o in_o opposition_n to_o they_o but_o because_o first_o they_o be_v not_o so_o inseparable_a to_o the_o kingdom_n of_o and_o take_v up_o by_o person_n who_o be_v worker_n of_o iniquity_n and_o not_o own_v by_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n even_o by_o man_n who_o live_v in_o open_a wickedness_n and_o therefore_o be_v not_o admit_v into_o his_o kingdom_n because_o they_o be_v baptize_v or_o receive_v the_o supper_n or_o frequent_a public_a prayer_n or_o be_v preacher_n of_o the_o scripture_n paul_n speak_v the_o same_o thing_n to_o a_o baptise_a church_n who_o also_o have_v the_o supper_n of_o the_o lord_n in_o practice_n among_o they_o and_o who_o come_v behind_o in_o no_o gift_n yet_o notwithstanding_o all_o these_o thing_n he_o set_v this_o caution_n before_o their_o eye_n to_o ponder_v on_o know_v you_o not_o say_v he_o that_o the_o unrighteous_a shall_v not_o inherit_v the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n and_o purify_v it_o by_o the_o blood_n of_o sprinkle_v even_o by_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n and_o thus_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n wash_v we_o in_o his_o own_o blood_n by_o the_o spirit_n renew_v his_o love_n in_o the_o heart_n and_o remit_v the_o transgression_n and_o so_o faith_n be_v restore_v in_o a_o true_a heart_n though_o it_o have_v be_v overtake_v by_o the_o subtlety_n of_o the_o enemy_n for_o indeed_o the_o fail_n of_o the_o true_a seed_n or_o true_o convert_v be_v not_o from_o a_o life_n have_v in_o the_o evil_a buâ—_n rather_o from_o be_v surprise_v and_o overtake_v therefore_o it_o cause_v grieâ—_n and_o anguish_n and_o a_o cry_n unto_o the_o lord_n for_o deliverance_n whereas_o he_o that_o have_v a_o life_n in_o the_o evil_a he_o rest_v in_o it_o while_o the_o strong_a man_n keep_v the_o house_n all_o thing_n be_v at_o quiet_a but_o when_o a_o strong_a than_o he_o be_v come_v he_o disturb_v that_o quietness_n in_o the_o evil_a there_o be_v no_o rest_n there_o for_o what_o fellowship_n can_v the_o true_a seed_n have_v with_o falsehood_n what_o communion_n can_v christ_n the_o true_a spirit_n have_v with_o the_o work_n of_o the_o evil_a spirit_n in_o we_o therefore_o he_o cast_v out_o the_o deceiver_n and_o his_o work_n therefore_o that_o faith_n that_o be_v under_o the_o blessing_n must_v needs_o war_n against_o the_o deceiver_n to_o cast_v he_o out_o otherwise_o it_o be_v not_o right_a for_o faith_n in_o truth_n beget_v a_o honest_a and_o true_a heart_n which_o work_v against_o deceit_n and_o the_o deceiver_n true_a faith_n first_o beget_v a_o honest_a and_o true_a heart_n and_o then_o be_v therein_o retain_v as_o in_o a_o fit_a vessel_n and_o the_o depart_n from_o truth_n and_o honesty_n and_o uprightness_n make_v shipwreck_n of_o faith_n to_o open_v this_o mystery_n of_o faith_n more_o plain_o whereby_o the_o truth_n thereof_o may_v be_v know_v and_o it_o may_v be_v discern_v in_o some_o measure_n from_o all_o false_a
