dread_v that_o but_o sin_n yet_o remain_v in_o we_o then_o how_o the_o soul_n must_v come_v to_o be_v content_a without_o the_o love_n of_o god_n though_o he_o will_v never_o give_v grace_n never_o work_v grace_n and_o this_o must_v be_v wrought_v by_o the_o spirit_n too_o as_o in_o his_o next_o chapter_n i_o can_v understand_v it_o this_o willingness_n to_o be_v separate_v from_o sin_n under_o the_o work_n of_o compunction_n and_o so_o proper_a to_o the_o elect_a in_o the_o work_n of_o preparation_n mr._n shepherd_n observe_v be_v not_o receive_v by_o many_o worthy_a divine_n who_o think_v this_o belong_v to_o sanctification_n and_o be_v wrought_v in_o the_o soul_n after_o union_n with_o christ_n by_o faith_n i_o do_v indeed_o find_v divers_a able_a divine_n to_o be_v of_o a_o contrary_a opinion_n to_o mr._n shepherd_n who_o though_o they_o maintain_v preparatory_a work_n before_o conversion_n yet_o they_o think_v they_o be_v common_a to_o the_o reprobate_n with_o the_o elect_n and_o that_o no_o preparatory_a work_n have_v any_o certain_a or_o necessary_a connexion_n with_o the_o form_n that_o be_v to_o be_v introduce_v but_o they_o be_v only_o material_a disposition_n which_o render_v the_o subject_n more_o susceptive_a or_o fit_a for_o the_o form_n to_o be_v introduce_v as_o dryness_n in_o the_o wood_n make_v the_o wood_n more_o fit_a to_o receive_v
