not_o let_v the_o child_n of_o israel_n go_v 21_o and_o the_o lord_n say_v unto_o moses_n stretch_v out_o thy_o hand_n unto_o heaven_n that_o there_o may_v be_v upon_o the_o land_n of_o egypt_n darkness_n which_o may_v be_v feel_v 22_o and_o moses_n stretch_v forth_o his_o hand_n unto_o heaven_n and_o there_o be_v a_o thick_a darkness_n upon_o all_o the_o land_n of_o egypt_n three_o day_n god_n to_o moses_n and_o tell_v pharaoh_n etc_n etc_n let_v my_o people_n go_v &_o serve_v i_o or_o else_o at_o this_o time_n i_o will_v send_v all_o my_o plague_n upon_o thy_o heart_n and_o upon_o be_v a_o severe_a god_n 1â—_o and_o *_o will_v terrible_o punish_v the_o obdurate_a &_o unrepentant_a sinner_n yea_o though_o they_o be_v never_o so_o great_a king_n &_o prince_n that_o he_o be_v a_o wise_a god_n that_o can_v turn_v the_o wicked_a malice_n and_o obstinacy_n of_o sinner_n to_o the_o work_v of_o his_o great_a glory_n that_o he_o be_v a_o careful_a and_o merciful_a god_n toward_o his_o people_n and_o for_o their_o defence_n and_o deliverance_n will_v not_o stick_v to_o break_v and_o pull_v down_o even_o mighty_a prince_n and_o people_n there_o be_v also_o a_o other_o cause_n why_o god_n do_v here_o suffer_v pharaoh_n &_o at_o other_o time_n bear_v with_o other_o grievous_a sinner_n and_o only_o for_o the_o time_n punish_v they_o with_o light_n &_o mean_a plague_n and_o this_o be_v by_o his_o great_a lenity_n sufferance_n and_o mildness_n if_o it_o may_v be_v to_o bring_v they_o to_o repentance_n or_o otherwise_o if_o they_o will_v not_o repent_v that_o they_o corrupt_a nature_n of_o man_n without_o the_o singular_a grace_n of_o god_n when_o he_o hear_v god_n word_n and_o will_n declare_v to_o he_o do_v not_o only_o not_o yield_v unto_o it_o but_o more_o and_o more_o storm_v against_o both_o the_o word_n itself_o and_o the_o messenger_n that_o bring_v it_o 14._o for_o natural_a man_n understand_v not_o those_o thing_n that_o be_v of_o god_n no_o nor_o can_v wherefore_o when_o we_o see_v in_o these_o chapiters_n that_n all_o endeavour_n be_v use_v both_o by_o god_n and_o by_o his_o servant_n to_o persuade_v pharaoh_n and_o yet_o that_o he_o be_v nothing_o move_v either_o by_o his_o word_n or_o by_o his_o threaten_n or_o by_o his_o miracle_n or_o by_o the_o counsel_n and_o advertisement_n of_o moses_n and_o aaron_n yea_o or_o of_o his_o own_o subject_n we_o be_v teach_v that_o all_o the_o work_n &_o endeavour_n of_o man_n to_o bring_v sinner_n from_o their_o obstinacy_n unto_o the_o embrace_v of_o god_n holy_a will_n be_v all_o vain_a unless_o it_o please_v god_n also_o to_o work_v by_o his_o holy_a spirit_n wherefore_o we_o must_v submit_v ourselves_o to_o the_o mighty_a hand_n of_o god_n in_o his_o secret_a judgement_n and_o otherwise_o we_o must_v by_o these_o example_n learn_v that_o they_o come_v not_o by_o chance_n or_o by_o natural_a cause_n only_o but_o that_o they_o be_v send_v of_o god_n as_o punishment_n of_o our_o sin_n and_o disobedience_n to_o the_o will_n and_o word_n of_o god_n 2._o and_o as_o *_o mean_v to_o bring_v we_o to_o repentance_n or_o else_o that_o god_n will_v lay_v on_o we_o continual_o consider_v whether_o he_o deal_v untrue_o in_o his_o account_n of_o the_o king_n treasure_n or_o otherwise_o slack_o and_o negligent_o in_o any_o thing_n but_o the_o innocence_n and_o faithful_a diligence_n of_o daniel_n in_o all_o point_n be_v such_o as_o his_o very_a enemy_n say_v of_o he_o that_o they_o shall_v never_o find_v matter_n against_o he_o unless_o they_o do_v entrap_v he_o by_o the_o law_n and_o worship_n of_o his_o god_n from_o which_o they_o be_v well_o assure_v he_o will_v not_o swerve_v the_o consideration_n of_o this_o man_n sincerity_n be_v so_o curious_o scan_v even_o by_o themselves_o shall_v have_v move_v they_o to_o have_v embrace_v and_o love_v he_o but_o malice_n and_o envy_n be_v always_o so_o blind_a that_o it_o do_v never_o consider_v any_o good_a gift_n or_o well_o do_v in_o a_o man_n but_o only_o to_o pervert_v it_o to_o a_o evil_a purpose_n upon_o this_o go_v the_o prince_n and_o lord_n together_o unto_o the_o king_n and_o say_v etc_n etc_n etc_n
