of_o the_o week_n be_v in_o the_o sabbath_n how_o much_o of_o the_o shop_n in_o the_o church_n what_o distraction_n in_o your_o best_a attention_n what_o carnal_a heart_n in_o your_o spiritual_a employment_n what_o pride_n what_o prejudice_n what_o infidelity_n what_o dulness_n do_v attend_v all_o your_o hear_n 3._o nay_o yet_o further_o be_v your_o evidence_n take_v from_o grace_n themselves_o yet_o these_o be_v not_o pure_a there_o be_v much_o mixture_n in_o they_o our_o grace_n themselves_o be_v full_a of_o imperfection_n you_o know_v there_o be_v much_o blindeness_n with_o your_o light_n much_o enmity_n with_o your_o love_n much_o hardness_n of_o heart_n with_o your_o mourning_n for_o sin_n yea_o and_o much_o mud_n much_o worldly_a sorrow_n in_o your_o pure_a tear_n much_o pride_n with_o your_o humility_n much_o murmur_a with_o your_o patience_n as_o we_o may_v show_v at_o large_a if_o need_n be_v but_o now_o these_o evidence_n which_o be_v take_v from_o our_o justification_n they_o be_v pure_a without_o mixture_n though_o the_o faith_n which_o justify_v we_o be_v imperfect_a yet_o the_o grace_n which_o justify_v we_o be_v perfect_a i_o say_v these_o evidence_n be_v pure_a without_o mixture_n because_o they_o be_v such_o as_o have_v nothing_o of_o our_o own_o in_o they_o have_v they_o any_o thing_n of_o we_o they_o will_v be_v imperfect_a and_o impure_a but_o have_v nothing_o of_o we_o but_o all_o christ_n they_o be_v altogether_o perfect_a and_o pure_a christ_n be_v all_o fair_a all_o perfect_a all_o pure_a our_o sanctify_a righteousness_n be_v stain_v imperfect_a impure_a but_o our_o justify_v righteousness_n be_v pure_a and_o perfect_a if_o there_o be_v any_o stain_n or_o any_o imperfection_n in_o that_o it_o can_v not_o justify_v it_o can_v not_o save_v we_o we_o shall_v be_v undo_v for_o ever_o but_o that_o be_v pure_a that_o be_v perfect_a and_o we_o in_o it_o as_o the_o apostle_n say_v col._n 2.10_o in_o he_o we_o be_v complete_a complete_a in_o he_o though_o imperfect_a in_o ourselves_o 3._o these_o be_v the_o most_o satisfy_a evidence_n other_o evidence_n admit_v of_o much_o questioning_n though_o take_v from_o duty_n yea_o grace_n themselves_o yet_o they_o admit_v of_o long_a dispute_n sharp_a encounter_n and_o assault_n and_o when_o all_o be_v do_v yet_o they_o bring_v not_o such_o fullness_n of_o satisfaction_n to_o the_o soul_n but_o now_o evidence_n take_v from_o our_o justification_n these_o be_v soul_n satisfy_v evidence_n because_o the_o satisfaction_n of_o christ_n be_v in_o they_o these_o evidence_n be_v not_o fetch_v from_o any_o thing_n in_o we_o or_o any_o thing_n do_v by_o we_o but_o from_o the_o satisfaction_n which_o christ_n himself_o have_v wrought_v for_o we_o and_o if_o there_o be_v any_o dispute_n against_o this_o then_o may_v we_o much_o more_o dispute_n against_o the_o other_o if_o christ_n be_v not_o a_o complete_a satisfier_n of_o god_n wrath_n and_o justice_n for_o our_o sin_n than_o these_o evidence_n from_o the_o satisfaction_n of_o christ_n will_v do_v i_o no_o good_a as_o the_o apostle_n say_v of_o the_o resurrection_n of_o christ_n which_o be_v the_o declaration_n of_o that_o full_a satisfaction_n christ_n have_v wrought_v if_o christ_n be_v not_o rise_v then_o our_o faith_n be_v in_o vain_a our_o hope_n in_o vain_a so_o here_o if_o christ_n have_v not_o full_o satisfy_v god_n justice_n if_o he_o have_v not_o pay_v all_o the_o debt_n answer_v all_o bill_n of_o inditement_n against_o i_o then_o my_o faith_n be_v in_o vain_a then_o these_o evidence_n can_v do_v my_o soul_n no_o good_a but_o if_o christ_n have_v full_o satisfy_v god_n justice_n then_o be_o i_o sure_a for_o this_o satisfaction_n be_v i_o so_o that_o you_o see_v these_o be_v such_o evidence_n as_o do_v not_o only_o quiet_a but_o satisfy_v conscience_n to_o the_o full_a such_o as_o silence_v all_o doubt_n answer_v all_o scruple_n and_o objection_n that_o do_v arise_v other_o evidence_n they_o be_v not_o so_o full_a not_o so_o satisfactory_a they_o may_v afford_v a_o man_n some_o obvious_a refreshment_n for_o a_o time_n to_o hold_v up_o the_o head_n from_o sink_v but_o they_o bring_v not_o fullness_n of_o satisfaction_n into_o the_o soul_n but_o now_o this_o do_v because_o you_o see_v it_o be_v take_v from_o such_o thing_n wherein_o god_n himself_o be_v satisfy_v and_o therefore_o no_o reason_n but_o we_o shall_v be_v satisfy_v if_o the_o creditor_n say_v enough_o shall_v not_o the_o debtor_n be_v satisfy_v 4._o these_o be_v the_o most_o constant_a evidence_n flood_n and_o river_n may_v fail_v but_o spring_n be_v constant_a such_o evidence_n as_o be_v take_v from_o any_o thing_n within_o we_o or_o any_o thing_n do_v by_o we_o may_v at_o least_o as_o to_o evidence_n fail_v we_o but_o such_o evidence_n as_o be_v take_v from_o without_o we_o as_o etc._n etc._n these_o be_v permanent_a and_o constant_a in_o the_o great_a drought_n here_o will_v be_v water_n enough_o jer._n 17.7_o 8._o blessed_n be_v the_o man_n that_o trust_v in_o the_o lord_n and_o who_o hope_n the_o lord_n be_v for_o he_o shall_v be_v as_o a_o tree_n plant_v by_o the_o sense_n yet_o they_o be_v ever_o sure_a to_o faith_n though_o not_o ever_o to_o apprehension_n yet_o ever_o in_o truth_n we_o may_v ever_o conclude_v they_o though_o we_o can_v ever_o clear_v they_o conclude_v they_o we_o may_v by_o faith_n though_o we_o can_v clear_v they_o to_o sense_n i_o may_v enlarge_v myself_o and_o go_v yet_o further_o to_o tell_v you_o these_o be_v the_o sweet_a the_o most_o refresh_a and_o comfort_v evidence_n but_o to_o conclude_v this_o use_n if_o ever_o you_o will_v have_v strong_a consolation_n if_o ever_o you_o will_v have_v a_o full_a and_o settle_a peace_n and_o comfort_n than_o hence_o draw_v your_o evidence_n fetch_v your_o evidence_n from_o justification_n i_o know_v that_o which_o keep_v you_o upon_o the_o rack_n of_o fear_n that_o which_o continue_v you_o in_o doubt_n and_o jealousy_n be_v this_o you_o take_v your_o evidence_n too_o low_o either_o from_o something_o in_o you_o or_o something_o do_v by_o you_o and_o so_o you_o be_v force_v to_o answer_v a_o multitude_n of_o objection_n and_o reason_n before_o ever_o you_o can_v find_v a_o bottom_n to_o rest_v upon_o that_o which_o do_v raise_v up_o new_a doubt_n and_o objection_n in_o your_o spirit_n and_o which_o cause_v a_o fresh_a return_n of_o fear_n upon_o you_o be_v because_o you_o do_v not_o take_v your_o evidence_n high_a enough_o you_o take_v they_o from_o duty_n prayer_n disposition_n present_a affection_n and_o so_o upon_o every_o fail_a you_o be_v cast_v and_o all_o throw_v down_o again_o new_a fear_n arise_v as_o if_o you_o never_o have_v any_o evidence_n be_v a_o evidence_n seal_v in_o the_o high_a court_n what_o court_n shall_v dispute_v against_o it_o what_o can_v overthrow_v it_o but_o now_o if_o all_o this_o will_v not_o persuade_v you_o to_o fetch_v your_o evidence_n high_a but_o that_o you_o will_v still_o lie_v by_o these_o water_n for_o comfort_n you_o will_v still_o fetch_v your_o comfort_n and_o evidence_n from_o duty_n yet_o let_v i_o thus_o far_o persuade_v with_o you_o that_o you_o will_v labour_v to_o clear_v the_o sincerity_n of_o your_o heart_n in_o these_o duty_n otherwise_o all_o this_o something_o will_v be_v nothing_o to_o you_o no_o bottom_n of_o comfort_n they_o be_v but_o uncertain_a bottom_n at_o the_o best_a but_o without_o sincerity_n to_o accompany_v they_o they_o will_v be_v no_o bottom_n a_o house_n not_o build_v on_o the_o sand_n but_o build_v in_o the_o air_n no_o foundation_n and_o this_o be_v the_o next_o use_n we_o will_v come_v unto_o 3._o use_v if_o it_o be_v possible_a for_o a_o man_n to_o do_v thus_o much_o and_o yet_o be_v unsound_a then_o what_o care_n ought_v there_o to_o be_v to_o clear_v the_o soundness_n of_o our_o spirit_n in_o our_o performance_n you_o pray_v you_o
