for_o ever_o but_o to_o repent_v and_o to_o abjure_v his_o error_n and_o in_o so_o do_v he_o will_v be_v good_a unto_o he_o he_o say_v when_o the_o bishop_n with_o all_o his_o persuasion_n can_v do_v no_o good_a with_o he_o to_o withdraw_v he_o from_o the_o truth_n of_o god_n word_n than_o the_o doctor_n and_o other_o the_o assistant_n attempt_v the_o like_a all_o which_o notwithstanding_o confession_n the_o say_a thomas_n hitton_n will_v not_o desist_v nor_o shrink_v one_o jot_n from_o the_o truth_n but_o both_o affirm_v and_o confirm_v his_o former_a article_n and_o confession_n to_o the_o end_n infer_v withal_o that_o they_o sin_v against_o the_o holy_a ghost_n in_o as_o much_o as_o they_o know_v that_o god_n word_n be_v the_o truth_n and_o that_o the_o mass_n and_o all_o popish_a religion_n be_v nothing_o else_o but_o idolatry_n lie_v and_o open_a blasphemy_n against_o the_o majesty_n of_o god_n and_o his_o word_n and_o contrary_a to_o god_n word_n in_o every_o respect_n and_o yet_o they_o will_v allow_v and_o maintain_v the_o same_o contrary_a to_o their_o own_o conscience_n whereat_o all_o the_o bench_n be_v great_o offend_v &_o command_v he_o to_o say_v tho._n hitton_n appear_v to_o who_o the_o bishop_n say_v thomas_n archbishop_n do_v thou_o believe_v that_o any_o man_n either_o spiritual_a or_o temporal_a be_v of_o sufficient_a authority_n to_o set_v forth_o any_o law_n or_o sanction_n of_o himself_o the_o breach_n whereof_o be_v mortal_a or_o ueniall_a sin_n to_o who_o tho._n hitton_n answer_v that_o no_o man_n either_o spiritual_a or_o temporal_a may_v make_v any_o law_n or_o sanction_n the_o breach_n whereof_o be_v mortal_a or_o venial_a sin_n except_o the_o same_o law_n or_o sanction_n be_v draw_v out_o of_o the_o word_n of_o god_n or_o else_o ground_v upon_o the_o same_o with_o a_o good_a conscience_n and_o therefore_o neither_o the_o church_n can_v set_v forth_o any_o law_n the_o breach_n whereof_o be_v mortal_a or_o ueniall_a sin_n unless_o it_o be_v ground_v upon_o the_o word_n of_o god_n also_o but_o if_o any_o man_n or_o the_o church_n of_o god_n itself_o do_v set_v forth_o any_o law_n ground_v upon_o the_o word_n of_o god_n &_o good_a conscience_n the_o breach_n thereof_o to_o
