the_o assistant_n of_o the_o say_a city_n bailiff_n coroner_n town-clerk_n clerk_n of_o the_o peace_n clerk_n of_o the_o market_n clerk_n of_o the_o court_n of_o plea_n and_o other_o court_v aforesaid_a clerk_n of_o the_o statute_n chamberlain_n high-constable_n sword_n bearer_n sub-constable_n sergeant_n at_o the_o mace_n for_o the_o time_n be_v or_o any_o of_o they_o shall_v execution_n of_o either_o of_o the_o say_a office_n misbehaviour_n depose_v of_o officer_n for_o misbehaviour_n and_o in_o case_n the_o mayor_n of_o our_o say_a city_n for_o the_o time_n be_v shall_v during_o the_o time_n of_o his_o mayrolty_n misbehave_v himself_o in_o that_o office_n we_o do_v by_o these_o present_n for_o we_o etc._n etc._n will_v and_o declare_v that_o it_o shall_v and_o may_v be_v lawful_a to_o and_o for_o the_o recorder_n alderman_n and_o assistant_n or_o for_o eight_o or_o more_o of_o the_o alderman_n and_o twelve_o or_o more_o of_o the_o assistant_n of_o the_o say_a city_n for_o the_o time_n be_v to_o remove_v such_o mayor_n from_o his_o say_a office_n of_o mayoralty_n for_o misgovernment_n or_o misbehaviour_n therein_o and_o in_o such_o case_n or_o in_o case_n of_o death_n of_o the_o mayor_n of_o the_o say_a city_n for_o the_o time_n be_v in_o the_o time_n of_o his_o mayoralty_n we_o will_v that_o within_o four_o day_n or_o other_o convenient_a time_n next_o after_o such_o removal_n or_o death_n the_o recorder_n alderman_n and_o assistant_n or_o eight_o or_o more_o of_o the_o alderman_n and_o twelve_o or_o more_o of_o the_o assistant_n of_o the_o say_a city_n for_o the_o time_n be_v do_v choose_v another_o fit_a and_o discreet_a person_n in_o the_o place_n of_o he_o so_o dead_a or_o remove_v to_o be_v mayor_n of_o the_o say_a city_n and_o leave_v there_o shall_v be_v a_o failer_z of_o justice_n or_o government_n in_o our_o say_a city_n in_o such_o interval_n we_o do_v for_o we_o and_o our_o successor_n will_n that_o the_o senior_a or_o elder_a alderman_n of_o the_o say_a city_n for_o the_o time_n be_v shall_v take_v upon_o he_o the_o place_n and_o office_n of_o the_o mayor_n there_o and_o shall_v exercise_v the_o same_o until_o another_o fit_a person_n shall_v be_v choose_v as_o aforesaid_a and_o in_o case_n of_o the_o disability_n of_o such_o elder_a alderman_n that_o then_o the_o next_o alderman_n in_o seniority_n to_o he_o shall_v take_v upon_o he_o the_o say_a place_n and_o office_n of_o mayor_n of_o the_o say_a city_n and_o liberty_n thereof_o and_o shall_v exercise_v the_o same_o as_o aforesaid_a and_o that_o such_o senior_a or_o elder_a alderman_n or_o such_o alderman_n next_o in_o seniority_n of_o place_n to_o he_o shall_v be_v immediate_o after_o the_o death_n or_o removal_n of_o the_o former_a mayor_n swear_v to_o execute_v the_o same_o according_o before_z three_z or_o
