deputy_n to_o levy_v or_o cause_n to_o be_v levy_v on_o all_o and_o every_o person_n or_o person_n so_o offend_a forfeit_a 100_o l._n forfeit_a one_o hundred_o pound_v currant_n money_n of_o this_o island_n or_o the_o value_n thereof_o upon_o his_o or_o their_o money_n slave_n good_n or_o chattel_n and_o sell_v the_o same_o by_o public_a outcry_n return_v the_o overplus_n if_o any_o be_v to_o the_o owner_n and_o in_o case_n no_o money_n slave_n or_o good_n be_v to_o be_v find_v as_o aforesaid_a that_o then_o he_o take_v into_o custody_n the_o body_n of_o the_o person_n or_o person_n so_o offend_v and_o he_o or_o they_o in_o safe_a custody_n keep_v until_o he_o or_o they_o pay_v the_o say_a sum_n of_o one_o hundred_o pound_n for_o the_o say_a offence_n any_o law_n custom_n or_o usage_n justice_n of_o the_o respective_a parish_n and_o precinct_n or_o within_o the_o commission_n of_o the_o peace_n for_o the_o same_o or_o any_o two_o of_o they_o deliver_v into_o the_o hand_n of_o their_o respective_a constable_n within_o their_o respective_a parish_n and_o precinct_n a_o roll_n of_o such_o tax_n or_o assessment_n as_o aforesaid_a collection_n time_n for_o collection_n so_o that_o the_o collection_n be_v make_v within_o two_o month_n after_o the_o ten_o day_n of_o june_n which_o shall_v be_v in_o the_o year_n of_o our_o lord_n one_o thousand_o six_o hundred_o ninety_o the_o peace_n for_o the_o same_o be_v hereby_o require_v and_o empower_v immediate_o on_o the_o pass_a this_o act_n with_o all_o possible_a speed_n to_o proceed_v to_o the_o discharge_v of_o their_o st._n george_n have_v not_o yet_o be_v lay_v out_o and_o clear_v to_o the_o great_a hindrance_n and_o damage_n of_o the_o inhabitant_n thereof_o and_o it_o be_v requisite_a as_o well_o for_o their_o and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v and_o ordain_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o the_o surveyor_n of_o the_o highway_n for_o the_o parish_n of_o st._n mary_n do_v yearly_a and_o as_o often_o as_o need_v shall_v require_v clear_a and_o amend_v the_o say_a road_n limit_v surveyor_n limit_v or_o highway_n from_o the_o orange_a river_n aforesaid_a over_o the_o say_a mammy_n ridge_n unto_o the_o ford_n at_o the_o foot_n of_o the_o say_a hill_n at_o little_a tom_n river_n aforesaid_a and_o that_o the_o parish_n of_o st._n george_n also_o clear_a their_o road_n or_o highway_n from_o twelve_o pound_n the_o quarter_n or_o under_o seven_o penny_n halfpenny_n and_o all_o weigh_v above_o six_o penny_n the_o pound_n lamb_n or_o kid_n seven_o penny_n half_a penny_n the_o pound_n all_o at_o their_o first_o meeting_n in_o order_n to_o the_o maintain_v guard_n and_o look-outs_a as_o aforesaid_a to_o tax_n raise_v and_o cause_n to_o be_v levy_v such_o sum_n or_o sum_n of_o money_n as_o shall_v be_v make_v appear_v to_o they_o necessary_a to_o reimburse_v such_o person_n as_o have_v pay_v and_o expend_v their_o money_n for_o the_o watch_n and_o safeguard_v of_o the_o say_a parish_n according_a to_o the_o subscription_n as_o aforesaid_a over_o and_o above_o what_o it_o shall_v be_v think_v necessary_a by_o the_o justice_n and_o vestry_n with_o the_o advice_n of_o the_o chief_a military_a officer_n to_o raise_v and_o assess_v on_o the_o several_a inhabitant_n for_o maintain_v their_o guard_n and_o look-outs_a as_o aforesaid_a which_o say_v sum_n and_o sum_n of_o money_n so_o that_o the_o justice_n and_o vestry_n erect_v beacon_n to_o be_v erect_v or_o the_o justice_n within_o the_o commission_n of_o the_o peace_n where_o there_o be_v no_o vestry_n shall_v assess_v and_o levy_v at_o the_o usual_a time_n and_o time_n in_o manner_n aforesaid_a such_o sum_n and_o sum_n of_o money_n to_o erect_v and_o keep_v such_o and_o so_o many_o beacon_n and_o in_o such_o convenient_a place_n and_o place_n as_o a_o regimental_n court-martial_a shall_v think_v fit_a and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o all_o and_o every_o justice_n or_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n churchwarden_n or_o churchwarden_n that_o shall_v neglect_v or_o fail_v in_o the_o execution_n of_o he_o or_o their_o duty_n as_o aforesaid_a shall_v forfeit_v the_o sum_n of_o five_o pound_n for_o such_o his_o
neglect_n or_o default_n default_n forfeiture_n upon_o default_n and_o for_o every_o vestry-man_n or_o constable_n the_o sum_n of_o forty_o shilling_n to_o be_v recover_v by_o action_n of_o debt_n
