by_o the_o king_n a_o proclamation_n for_o the_o discovery_n and_o apprehension_n of_o the_o earl_n of_o bristol_n charles_n r._n whereas_o we_o intend_v to_o have_v proceed_v according_a to_o law_n and_o justice_n against_o george_n earl_n of_o bristol_n for_o crime_n of_o a_o high_a nature_n by_o he_o commit_v against_o our_o person_n and_o government_n and_o to_o the_o end_n he_o may_v be_v bring_v to_o answer_v and_o to_o a_o legal_a trial_n we_o do_v give_v order_n and_o our_o officer_n and_o minister_n have_v use_v all_o diligence_n to_o apprehend_v he_o but_o he_o do_v conceal_v and_o lurk_v in_o secret_a and_o unknown_a place_n and_o will_v not_o submit_v himself_o to_o justice_n contrary_a to_o his_o duty_n and_o allegiance_n we_o have_v therefore_o think_v fât_o by_o and_o with_o the_o advice_n of_o our_o privy_a council_n to_o publish_v the_o same_o to_o all_o our_o love_a subject_n and_o can_v doubt_v of_o their_o care_n and_o forwardness_n in_o his_o discovery_n and_o apprehension_n and_o we_o do_v by_o this_o our_o proclamation_n whereof_o he_o ought_v and_o shall_v be_v presume_v to_o take_v notice_n enjoin_v and_o command_v the_o say_a earl_n with_o all_o speed_n after_o the_o publication_n hereof_o to_o render_v himself_o and_o appear_v at_o our_o council-board_n there_o to_o receive_v and_o undergo_v such_o order_n as_o shall_v be_v give_v concern_v he_o and_o we_o do_v hereby_o further_o strait_o charge_v and_o command_v all_o and_o singular_a justice_n of_o the_o peace_n mayor_n sheriff_n bailiff_n constable_n and_o other_o our_o officer_n minister_n and_o subject_n whatsoever_o to_o be_v diligent_a and_o use_v their_o best_a endeavour_n to_o search_v for_o and_o apprehend_v the_o say_a earl_n in_o all_o place_n whatsoever_o and_o our_o will_n and_o pleasure_n be_v that_o if_o he_o be_v apprehend_v they_o cause_v he_o to_o be_v safe_o carry_v to_o the_o sheriff_n of_o that_o county_n where_o he_o shall_v be_v so_o apprehend_v and_o the_o say_a sheriff_n safe_o to_o convey_v to_o the_o lord_n of_o our_o privy_a council_n there_o to_o answer_v such_o thing_n as_o shall_v be_v object_v against_o he_o and_o for_o such_o further_a course_n to_o be_v take_v with_o he_o as_o we_o by_o the_o advice_n of_o our_o council_n shall_v direct_v whereof_o they_o and_o every_o of_o they_o who_o it_o may_v concern_v be_v to_o take_v special_a care_n as_o they_o will_v answer_v the_o neglect_n thereof_o at_o their_o peril_n and_o we_o do_v hereby_o further_o publish_v and_o declare_v that_o if_o any_o person_n or_o person_n after_o the_o publication_n of_o this_o our_o proclamation_n shall_v direct_o or_o indirect_o conceal_v or_o harbour_v the_o saiâ_n earl_n or_o shall_v not_o use_v his_o or_o their_o best_a endeavour_n for_o his_o discovery_n and_o apprehension_n as_o well_o by_o give_v due_a advertisement_n thereof_o to_o our_o officer_n as_o by_o all_o other_o good_a mean_n we_o will_v as_o there_o be_v just_a cause_n proceed_v against_o they_o that_o shall_v so_o neglect_v this_o our_o command_n with_o all_o severity_n give_v at_o our_o court_n at_o whitehall_n this_o 25_o the_o day_n of_o august_n 1663._o in_o the_o fifteen_o year_n of_o our_o reign_n god_n save_v the_o king_n london_n print_v by_o john_n bill_n and_o christoâher_n barker_n printer_n to_o the_o king_n most_o excellent_a majesty_n 1663._o
