and_o apply_v his_o merit_n for_o this_o purpose_n which_o faith_n it_o declare_v to_o be_v a_o full_a trust_n in_o god_n mercy_n through_o christ_n for_o the_o remission_n of_o our_o sin_n suppose_v always_o repentance_n as_o necessary_a to_o make_v this_o confidence_n lively_a and_o christian_n not_o carnal_a and_o presumptive_a exclude_v nevertheless_o even_o faith_n itself_o as_o well_o as_o all_o other_o grace_n and_o work_n from_o be_v any_o way_n meritorious_a of_o this_o remission_n of_o sin_n which_o be_v only_o wrought_v by_o jesus_n christ_n not_o that_o it_o do_v in_o the_o it_o deny_v any_o of_o these_o grace_n and_o all_o inherent_a righteousness_n to_o be_v deserve_v of_o this_o remission_n of_o sin_n which_o god_n give_v we_o free_o out_o of_o mere_a grace_n upon_o the_o score_n of_o christ_n merit_n now_o then_o upon_o a_o view_n of_o the_o whole_a we_o see_v the_o ground_n of_o the_o difference_n lie_v in_o the_o different_a apprehension_n of_o justification_n and_o herein_o certain_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n be_v mistake_v whilst_o she_o confound_v justification_n with_o sanctification_n remission_n of_o sin_n with_o the_o renovation_n of_o our_o mind_n and_o take_v justification_n for_o what_o it_o proper_o signify_v remission_n of_o sin_n the_o council_n of_o trent_n have_v make_v that_o the_o formal_a cause_n of_o justification_n which_o have_v nothing_o to_o do_v in_o the_o remission_n of_o sin_n which_o be_v not_o remit_v by_o be_v extinguish_v by_o contrary_a disposition_n but_o by_o the_o merit_n of_o christ_n purchase_v their_o pardon_n again_o by_o depart_v from_o the_o scripture-language_n and_o the_o true_a meaning_n thereof_o in_o make_v justification_n consist_v in_o the_o infusion_n of_o righteousness_n which_o it_o do_v not_o proper_o signify_v there_o be_v appearance_n of_o reason_n great_a enough_o to_o cause_v man_n that_o be_v jealous_a of_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n grace_n and_o the_o merit_n of_o christ_n to_o think_v they_o claim_v remission_n of_o sin_n as_o due_a to_o that_o infuse_a righteousness_n by_o have_v whereof_o they_o say_v they_o be_v righteous_a before_o god_n but_o yet_o inasmuch_o as_o it_o make_v christ_n to_o be_v the_o meritorious_a cause_n of_o justication_n and_o say_v in_o the_o place_n m._n condom_n quote_v that_o it_o be_v necessary_a to_o believe_v that_o our_o sin_n be_v not_o
