damnation_n thus_o much_o for_o the_o simile_n of_o a_o physician_n 2_o as_o for_o the_o other_o simile_n of_o a_o king_n and_o the_o captive_n this_o be_v also_o impertinent_a for_o 1._o be_v it_o so_o that_o judas_n and_o other_o captive_n do_v despise_v christ_n ransom_n and_o faith_n the_o mean_n of_o it_o yet_o this_o will_v not_o clear_a god_n of_o injustice_n if_o he_o punish_v judas_n twice_o once_o in_o christ_n his_o surety_n and_o once_o again_o in_o his_o own_o person_n no_o simile_n can_v make_v god_n unjust_a or_o to_o punish_v one_o man_n or_o one_o sin_n twice_o god_n in_o justice_n may_v punish_v judas_n his_o despise_v once_o as_o in_o christ_n or_o in_o judas_n but_o not_o twice_o as_o in_o christ_n and_o in_o judas_n both_o 2._o this_o simile_n be_v unfit_a for_o the_o purpose_n and_o therefore_o to_o be_v reject_v if_o it_o be_v fit_v to_o our_o question_n it_o shall_v be_v thus_o frame_v a_o king_n have_v many_o subject_n in_o captivity_n to_o a_o foreign_a answer_n that_o god_n punish_v christ_n for_o all_o judas_n his_o sin_n except_v his_o infidelity_n and_o punish_v judas_n for_o his_o infidelity_n and_o so_o god_n punish_v no_o sin_n twice_o nor_o be_v he_o unjust_a but_o to_o this_o new_a distinction_n i_o thus_o reply_n 1_o it_o make_v christ_n to_o be_v but_o a_o partial_a saviour_n or_o a_o half_a saviour_n for_o by_o this_o distinction_n 12.37_o so_o much_o for_o confutation_n of_o the_o arminian_n answer_n say_v to_o we_o that_o therefore_o god_n may_v just_o damn_v judas_n because_o he_o will_v not_o believe_v now_o their_o answer_n be_v confute_v our_o objection_n remain_v good_a namely_o that_o if_o christ_n die_v for_o all_o man_n than_o it_o follow_v that_o no_o man_n shall_v be_v damn_v but_o that_o judas_n and_o all_o man_n application_n the_o distinction_n of_o impetration_n and_o application_n confute_v first_o we_o must_v know_v what_o arminian_o understand_v by_o these_o term_n by_o impetration_n they_o understand_v the_o death_n and_o passion_n of_o christ_n whereby_o he_o merit_v remission_n of_o sin_n and_o justification_n for_o all_o man_n by_o application_n they_o understand_v the_o fruit_n and_o benefit_n of_o christ_n death_n and_o passion_n which_o be_v as_o i_o conceive_v it_o must_v be_v the_o real_a and_o actual_a remission_n of_o sin_n and_o justification_n apply_v unto_o the_o faithful_a the_o
