in_o this_o case_n of_o rate_v for_o the_o poor_a some_o respect_n may_v be_v have_v to_o man_n invisible_a estate_n of_o money_n for_o the_o case_n may_v be_v so_o that_o the_o rater_n may_v know_v a_o man_n within_o the_o parish_n that_o have_v no_o other_o estate_n and_o yet_o perhaps_o have_v a_o annuity_n of_o one_o hundred_o pound_n by_o the_o year_n or_o have_v hundred_o of_o thousand_o of_o pound_n of_o money_n owe_v to_o he_o and_o in_o such_o a_o clear_a and_o certain_a case_n they_o may_v no_o doubt_n rate_v he_o according_a to_o that_o value_n 13._o in_o some_o special_a case_n a_o man_n may_v be_v rate_v beyond_o his_o ability_n for_o if_o a_o parishioner_n for_o his_o own_o gain_n or_o otherwise_o shall_v bring_v into_o the_o parish_n without_o the_o consent_n thereof_o a_o stranger_n who_o be_v or_o be_v apparent_o like_a to_o be_v burdensome_a to_o the_o parish_n in_o this_o case_n the_o parishioner_n because_o they_o have_v no_o other_o remedy_n against_o he_o may_v rate_v he_o not_o only_o according_a to_o his_o ability_n of_o land_n and_o good_n but_o according_a to_o the_o damage_n he_o bring_v or_o be_v like_a to_o bring_v to_o the_o parish_n by_o his_o folly_n for_o if_o any_o person_n shall_v find_v himself_o grieve_v with_o any_o such_o rate_n to_o the_o poor_a or_o other_o such_o like_a act_n do_v by_o the_o overseer_n of_o the_o poor_a or_o the_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n he_o have_v no_o other_o remedy_n but_o to_o complain_v to_o the_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n at_o the_o quarter_n session_n where_o the_o case_n appear_v to_o be_v as_o aforesaid_a he_o shall_v have_v a_o little_a relief_n 14._o if_o any_o man_n refuse_v to_o pay_v his_o rate_n for_o the_o poor_a the_o present_a or_o subsequent_a overseer_n of_o the_o default_n ten_o shilling_n and_o if_o any_o man_n have_v any_o ditch_n in_o his_o own_o ground_n that_o do_v serve_v to_o lead_v away_o the_o water_n out_o of_o the_o highway_n and_o he_o do_v not_o annoyance_n of_o the_o highway_n he_o shall_v forfeit_v for_o every_o load_n so_o cast_v up_o twelve_o penny_n 7._o these_o officer_n may_v if_o they_o see_v cause_n for_o the_o amendment_n of_o the_o their_o discretion_n 8._o they_o must_v within_o one_o month_n after_o any_o default_n be_v make_v in_o any_o of_o the_o particular_n aforesaid_a present_v the_o same_o to_o the_o next_o justice_n of_o peace_n under_o pain_n to_o forfeit_v forty_o shilling_n for_o every_o neglect_n and_o this_o presentment_n that_o justice_n of_o peace_n must_v present_v to_o the_o next_o quarter_n session_n the_o beginning_n and_o if_o any_o man_n offend_v against_o the_o statute_n of_o 5_o eliz._n i_o if_o these_o officer_n after_o they_o have_v dig_v in_o any_o man_n enclose_a ground_n shall_v not_o by_o fine_a at_o the_o quarter_n session_n according_a to_o the_o discretion_n of_o the_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n and_o these_o fine_n be_v to_o be_v levy_v and_o employ_v as_o fine_n and_o amerciament_n levy_v upon_o the_o transgressor_n of_o the_o former_a statute_n and_o if_o any_o man_n offend_v against_o the_o statute_n of_o 18_o eliz._n chap._n 9_o i_o if_o any_o man_n cast_v soil_n into_o the_o highway_n and_o do_v not_o remove_v it_o within_o the_o time_n aforesaid_a or_o do_v not_o scour_v their_o ditch_n etc._n etc._n and_o cut_v down_o their_o bush_n in_o their_o highway_n the_o forfeiture_n of_o these_o man_n be_v set_v down_o in_o certain_a by_o the_o same_o statute_n may_v be_v levy_v by_o these_o officer_n immediate_o by_o distress_n and_o sale_n of_o the_o offender_n good_n upon_o a_o warrant_n send_v from_o the_o justice_n of_o assize_n justice_n of_o the_o peace_n or_o steward_n of_o a_o leet_n before_o who_o the_o person_n shall_v be_v
