providence_n hence_o because_o god_n in_o his_o providence_n have_v order_v the_o production_n of_o man_n and_o woman_n give_v they_o life_n and_o be_v and_o his_o gospel_n to_o be_v preach_v in_o their_o hear_n so_o as_o they_o be_v external_o call_v to_o repent_v and_o to_o believe_v man_n conclude_v there_o be_v no_o election_n of_o person_n that_o christ_n have_v die_v for_o all_o and_o every_o man_n that_o every_o man_n have_v a_o power_n to_o repent_v believe_v love_n god_n hate_v sin_n etc._n etc._n and_o i_o wish_v a_o modest_a denial_n of_o divine_a truth_n be_v the_o worst_a but_o we_o be_v fall_v into_o a_o rude_a and_o ill_o manner_a age_n when_o every_o puny_a have_v boldness_n enough_o to_o say_v if_o this_o be_v so_o then_o god_n be_v a_o impostor_n and_o mock_n and_o delude_v he_o be_v unjust_a cruel_a i_o tremble_v to_o recite_v it_o when-as_a the_o truth_n be_v it_o be_v neither_o so_o nor_o so_o let_v what_o will_v be_v conclude_v concern_v these_o proposition_n no_o such_o thing_n will_v follow_v i_o have_v madam_n endeavour_v to_o reconcile_v these_o providence_n of_o god_n to_o the_o truth_n of_o these_o proposition_n which_o some_o invidious_o charge_n with_o such_o consequence_n and_o to_o let_v these_o bold_a man_n understand_v that_o god_n be_v equal_a his_o way_n equal_a and_o admirable_o correspond_v with_o those_o notion_n have_v begin_v or_o do_v his_o work_n in_o a_o fit_a time_n indeed_o god_n can_v have_v do_v it_o with_o equal_a advantage_n at_o any_o time_n have_v at_o all_o time_n the_o heart_n of_o prince_n and_o of_o all_o man_n in_o his_o hand_n but_o those_o that_o do_v not_o so_o wist_o consider_v the_o influence_n of_o god_n upon_o man_n heart_n in_o the_o cause_n and_o only_o view_v humane_a circumstance_n when_o they_o see_v god_n bring_v forth_o his_o work_n at_o a_o time_n when_o the_o world_n be_v prepare_v and_o fit_v for_o it_o must_v adore_v the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n in_o it_o four_o god_n do_v by_o this_o mean_n check_v the_o haste_n and_o precipitancy_n and_o rashness_n of_o our_o spirit_n and_o show_v we_o our_o own_o folly_n we_o be_v very_o prone_a to_o prescribe_v to_o god_n and_o to_o limit_v the_o holy_a one_o will_v thou_o at_o this_o time_n restore_v the_o kingdom_n to_o israel_n say_v the_o disciple_n now_o when_o we_o see_v god_n disappoint_v our_o hope_n and_o expectation_n and_o bring_v forth_o his_o work_n in_o his_o own_o time_n when_o the_o world_n circumstance_n fit_v it_o and_o all_o thing_n concur_v to_o it_o then_o we_o understand_v our_o another_o time_n it_o learn_v wit_n to_o let_v the_o father_n alone_o to_o his_o own_o wisdom_n time_n and_o contrivance_n the_o father_n may_v have_v lose_v his_o pain_n and_o spoil_v some_o piece_n of_o good_a timber_n and_o do_v nothing_o else_o in_o soon_o harken_v to_o the_o child_n importunity_n it_o may_v be_v the_o child_n in_o its_o haste_n hoist_v up_o a_o piece_n of_o timber_n but_o hoist_v up_o some_o piece_n of_o timber_n encourage_v some_o or_o other_o to_o begin_v it_o irregular_o and_o by_o that_o mean_n get_v nothing_o but_o
to_o a_o daily_a communion_n with_o god_n all_o the_o grace_n all_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n be_v they_o think_v this_o reward_n enough_o for_o the_o cleanse_n of_o thy_o heart_n and_o the_o wash_n of_o thy_o hand_n and_o see_v the_o swearer_n and_o blasphemer_n and_o even_o the_o worst_a man_n of_o the_o world_n be_v god_n creature_n and_o some_o of_o they_o though_o they_o mean_v not_o so_o yet_o do_v god_n service_n sometime_o do_v not_o judge_v it_o unreasonable_a that_o god_n shall_v give_v they_o a_o portion_n in_o this_o life_n but_o i_o forbear_v know_v that_o it_o will_v fall_v neither_o nature_n nor_o art_n and_o study_n will_v make_v a_o moral_o wise_a man_n observation_n contribute_v more_o than_o either_o and_o this_o be_v the_o reason_n that_o wisdom_n be_v with_o the_o ancient_n and_o that_o multitude_n of_o year_n teach_v it_o the_o reason_n of_o this_o be_v the_o inequal_a distribution_n of_o reason_n to_o reasonable_a creature_n and_o the_o prevalence_n of_o passion_n above_o it_o in_o the_o most_o of_o man_n from_o this_o it_o be_v that_o we_o can_v better_o conclude_v what_o be_v like_a to_o be_v do_v in_o the_o world_n from_o what_o have_v be_v do_v than_o from_o any_o rational_a principle_n which_o will_v tell_v we_o what_o one_o will_v think_v reasonable_a man_n shall_v do_v spiritual_a wisdom_n likewise_o be_v much_o gain_v by_o observation_n this_o be_v that_o which_o we_o call_v experience_n by_o which_o we_o understand_v not_o always_o what_o ourselves_o have_v feel_v but_o what_o we_o have_v see_v with_o our_o eye_n what_o we_o have_v remark_v in_o god_n deal_n and_o the_o reason_n of_o this_o be_v our_o imperfect_a understanding_n of_o what_o god_n have_v reveal_v in_o his_o word_n which_o let_v we_o see_v that_o we_o stand_v in_o need_n both_o of_o the_o spirit_n and_o of_o the_o providence_n of_o god_n to_o be_v our_o interpreter_n and_o the_o oneness_n and_o immutability_n of_o god_n give_v we_o a_o far_o better_a advantage_n to_o gain_v wisdom_n from_o the_o issue_n of_o his_o providence_n than_o the_o variable_a passion_n of_o man_n will_v allow_v we_o to_o gain_v from_o what_o we_o see_v in_o their_o act_n who_o method_n ofttimes_o vast_o differ_v one_o from_o another_o so_o as_o the_o policy_n of_o one_o age_n have_v no_o cognation_n with_o those_o of_o another_o the_o reason_n also_o of_o which_o be_v because_o there_o be_v a_o wheel_n within_o these_o wheel_n though_o the_o fool_n and_o blind_a man_n of_o the_o world_n see_v it_o not_o govern_v these_o sensible_a wheel_n to_o the_o design_n of_o his_o eternal_a counsel_n hence_o it_o be_v that_o he_o who_o be_v wise_a will_v observe_v and_o he_o who_o will_v be_v wise_a must_v observe_v the_o motion_n of_o divine_a providence_n which_o though_o it_o have_v many_o secret_a and_o unsearchable_a motion_n yet_o also_o have_v many_o certain_a and_o uniform_a motion_n which_o will_v fall_v under_o the_o science_n and_o understanding_n
