that_o god_n be_v the_o sender_n of_o all_o kind_n of_o sickness_n and_o that_o they_o be_v the_o stroke_n of_o his_o dart_n and_o arrow_n which_o we_o may_v further_o see_v confirm_v by_o that_o censure_n which_o homer_n give_v of_o the_o plague_n of_o the_o greek_n which_o he_o both_o ascribe_v unto_o their_o god_n apollo_n and_o call_v it_o there_o express_o telum_fw-la dei_fw-la a_o i_o say_v the_o psalmist_n of_o his_o sickness_n and_o there_o be_v nothing_o sound_a in_o my_o flesh_n because_o of_o thy_o anger_n neither_o be_v there_o any_o rest_n in_o my_o bone_n because_o of_o my_o sin_n which_o place_n of_o the_o psalmist_n express_v in_o effect_n the_o whole_a sum_n of_o this_o chapter_n and_o of_o every_o branch_n of_o it_o first_o name_v the_o cause_n of_o his_o sickness_n to_o be_v sin_n second_o the_o effect_n of_o his_o sin_n to_o be_v god_n anger_n three_o the_o fruit_n of_o god_n anger_n to_o be_v his_o sickness_n and_o four_a the_o form_n of_o his_o sickness_n to_o be_v as_o it_o be_v the_o stroke_n of_o a_o arrow_n now_o to_o form_v this_o whole_a discourse_n unto_o our_o present_a purpose_n if_o the_o true_a cause_n of_o sickness_n be_v only_a sin_n against_o god_n if_o god_n himself_o do_v threaten_v for_o this_o cause_n to_o send_v sickness_n if_o he_o true_o have_v perform_v as_o much_o as_o he_o have_v threaten_v and_o if_o sickness_n be_v nothing_o else_o but_o the_o stroke_n of_o god_n hand_n then_o must_v there_o needs_o be_v a_o god_n which_o work_v all_o those_o thing_n but_o all_o the_o forenamed_a point_n have_v sufficient_o be_v prove_v not_o only_o by_o scripture_n and_o the_o doctrine_n of_o christian_n but_o also_o by_o the_o testimony_n even_o of_o the_o very_a heathen_a and_o therefore_o that_o there_o be_v a_o already_o prove_v in_o the_o former_a chapter_n now_o that_o the_o remedy_n of_o disease_n be_v also_o send_v from_o god_n and_o from_o none_o other_o author_n i_o take_v to_o prove_v in_o this_o chapter_n a_o thing_n which_o follow_v in_o a_o manner_n upon_o the_o grant_n of_o the_o former_a for_o if_o we_o grant_v that_o god_n be_v the_o author_n of_o disease_n we_o must_v also_o grant_v that_o he_o be_v the_o author_n of_o remedy_n or_o else_o we_o shall_v be_v force_v to_o yield_v unto_o the_o one_o of_o these_o two_o gross_a absurdity_n either_o that_o there_o be_v two_o god_n or_o else_o that_o something_o which_o be_v not_o god_n yet_o be_v better_a than_o god_n for_o if_o we_o yield_v that_o disease_n come_v from_o one_o author_n and_o their_o remedy_n from_o another_o then_o do_v we_o make_v two_o diverse_a author_n duo_o principia_fw-la 190._o two_o principle_n and_o two_o god_n as_o zoroastres_n do_v and_o if_o we_o hold_v that_o that_o author_n from_o who_o remedy_n sovereign_a fountain_n of_o goodness_n but_o shall_v have_v a_o more_o base_a and_o inferior_a office_n than_o some_o of_o his_o own_o creature_n and_o so_o god_n shall_v not_o be_v god_n but_o that_o other_o which_o be_v the_o giver_n of_o good_a thing_n 554._o shall_v be_v god_n for_o as_o plato_n true_o teach_v bonorum_fw-la solus_fw-la deus_fw-la causa_fw-la est_fw-la malorum_fw-la verò_fw-la
