the_o end_n he_o give_v unto_o they_o most_o triumphant_a victory_n accord_v to_o the_o everlasting_a purpose_n of_o his_o divine_a providence_n who_o be_v to_o be_v fear_v reverence_a renown_a and_o praise_v for_o ever_o so_o be_v it_o heretofore_o have_v we_o answer_v general_o to_o they_o that_o will_v make_v god_n the_o author_n of_o evil_n and_o to_o they_o which_o do_v say_v that_o this_o doctrine_n take_v away_o exhortation_n and_o threaten_n and_o the_o preach_n of_o the_o word_n now_o by_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n we_o will_v more_o brief_o answer_v to_o some_o argument_n which_o they_o bring_v forth_o of_o the_o scripture_n set_v apart_o all_o such_o cavyllation_n as_o man_n reason_n which_o in_o god_n mystery_n can_v never_o be_v satisfy_v by_o the_o craft_n of_o the_o devil_n do_v excogitate_v &_o invent_v but_o first_o we_o will_v speak_v something_o of_o good_a work_n &_o the_o true_a understanding_n of_o those_o scripture_n which_o commend_v they_o unto_o we_o lest_o we_o shall_v seem_v to_o dissuade_v man_n from_o the_o same_o or_o extenuate_v the_o meaning_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n in_o such_o sentence_n as_o our_o adversary_n do_v wicked_o pervert_v for_o the_o maintenance_n of_o man_n power_n against_o this_o doctrine_n of_o grace_n &_o free_a election_n which_o dare_v affirm_v that_o by_o work_n they_o purchase_v part_n of_o their_o salvation_n the_o which_o as_o we_o have_v say_v be_v free_o give_v by_o this_o election_n in_o christ_n jesus_n before_o the_o foundation_n of_o the_o world_n be_v lay●●_n the_o good_a work_n which_o be_v so_o in_o deed_n that_o be_v to_o say_v which_o proceed_v of_o the_o spirit_n of_o adoption_n &_o the_o feel_n of_o god_n mercy_n in_o elect_a call_v &_o justify_v first_o of_o all_o have_v this_o use_n y_fw-es they_o declare_v the_o power_n of_o god_n to_o be_v in_o we_o and_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n which_o do_v conform_v we_o to_o his_o image_n and_o this_o be_v the_o end_n whereunto_o we_o be_v elect_v and_o predestinate_a to_o be_v conform_v to_o the_o image_n of_o his_o son_n rom._n 8._o elect_v before_o the_o foundation_n of_o the_o world_n to_o be_v holy_a and_o blameless_a eph._n 1._o create_v unto_o good_a work_n which_o god_n have_v prepare_v for_o we_o to_o walk_v therein_o eph._n 2._o these_o have_v the_o reward_n as_o paul_n say_v not_o only_o of_o this_o life_n but_o of_o the_o world_n to_o come_v therefore_o say_v our_o saviour_n christ._n math._n 25._o come_v you_o bless_v of_o my_o father_n possess_v the_o kingdom_n prepare_v for_o you_o from_o the_o beginning_n of_o the_o world_n i_o be_v hungry_a and_o you_o give_v i_o meat_n i_o be_v thirty_o and_o you_o give_v i_o drink_v etc_n etc_n of_o this_o excellent_a commendation_n and_o reward_n of_o good_a work_n we_o do_v learn_v the_o dignity_n of_o the_o same_o not_o of_o the_o worthiness_n of_o themselves_o which_o be_v never_o able_a to_o stand_v in_o god_n judgement_n for_o our_o very_a righteousness_n be_v as_o isaiah_n say_v as_o clothes_n fylthy_o pollute_v but_o of_o the_o dignity_n of_o the_o grace_n of_o the_o promise_n of_o god_n who_o work_v they_o in_o we_o for_o it_o be_v god_n say_v paul_n that_o work_v in_o we_o both_o the_o will_n and_o also_o the_o work_n even_o of_o his_o purpose_n phi._n 2._o therefore_o all_o be_v of_o grace_n not_o of_o work_n lest_o any_o shall_v glory_v ephes._n 2._o for_o if_o there_o be_v any_o power_n in_o ourselves_o or_o dignity_n in_o the_o work_n than_o have_v we_o some_o thing_n to_o glory_n but_o now_o that_o all_o be_v confess_v to_o be_v of_o god_n free_a mercy_n and_o nothing_o of_o ourselves_o we_o conclude_v that_o god_n crow_v and_o reward_v his_o own_o work_n in_o we_o that_o who_o so_o glory_v shall_v glory_v in_o the_o lord_n 1._o cor._n 1_o ●n●_n where_o some_o ●●edge_n this_o place_n ma._n 26_o so_o to_o commend_v work_n that_o they_o shall_v be_v the_o cause_n of_o the_o election_n and_o the_o favour_n of_o god_n they_o do_v not_o consider_v the_o first_o word_n come_v you_o bless_v of_o my_o father_n inheryte_v the_o kingdom_n prepare_v for_o you_o from_o the_o begin_n of_o the_o world_n wherein_o we_o may_v note_v that_o they_o be_v the_o bless_a and_o belove_v of_o the_o father_n be_v call_v to_o the_o inheritance_n of_o the_o heavenly_a kingdom_n not_o win_v by_o
