reply_n contrary_a to_o their_o own_o reason_n and_o experience_n like_v unto_o that_o quarrel_n with_o our_o saviour_n matt._n 12.24_o when_o they_o charge_v he_o with_o cast_v out_o devil_n by_o beelzebub_n the_o prince_n of_o devil_n when_o as_o their_o child_n must_v cast_v they_o out_o by_o the_o name_n of_o jesus_n and_o that_o this_o objection_n do_v favour_n of_o such_o a_o spirit_n captious_a and_o quarrelsome_a design_v only_o to_o undervalue_v god_n proceed_n and_o to_o disparage_v the_o apostle_n doctrine_n will_v very_o clear_o appear_v in_o our_o further_a traverse_v the_o apostle_n answer_v thereunto_o the_o answer_n do_v clear_o demonstrate_v that_o these_o word_n proceed_v from_o a_o base_a and_o unworthy_a spirit_n tend_v to_o the_o disparage_a god_n power_n and_o supremacy_n over_o jew_n and_o gentile_n which_o the_o apostle_n have_v be_v before_o assert_v both_o as_o to_o his_o show_a mercy_n and_o as_o to_o his_o harden_v but_o i_o shall_v be_v very_o brief_a as_o to_o this_o verse_n because_o i_o shall_v have_v more_o proper_o occasion_n to_o demonstrat_fw-la the_o nature_n of_o this_o objection_n in_o the_o answer_n follow_v in_o verse_n 20_o our_o apostle_n be_v careful_a in_o and_o therefore_o he_o repeat_v the_o objection_n and_o prepare_v to_o take_v it_o off_o it_o be_v certain_a that_o the_o best_a and_o clear_a of_o doctrine_n may_v admit_v of_o cavil_n and_o objection_n and_o therefore_o their_o mouth_n must_v be_v stop_v by_o the_o power_n of_o reason_n and_o current_n of_o scripture_n whether_o s._n paul_n meet_v with_o this_o objection_n in_o so_o many_o word_n or_o whether_o he_o meet_v with_o it_o in_o his_o own_o apprehension_n he_o proceed_v upon_o it_o we_o be_v not_o bind_v to_o stay_v till_o a_o objection_n come_v out_o but_o we_o may_v anticipate_v it_o this_o be_v much_o the_o practice_n of_o jesus_n christ_n and_o his_o forerunner_n john_n matt._n 3._o think_v not_o to_o say_v you_o have_v abraham_n to_o your_o father_n matth._n 5._o think_v not_o that_o i_o be_o come_v to_o destroy_v the_o law_n so_o chap._n 9_o when_o he_o see_v their_o blasphemous_a thought_n concern_v his_o pronounce_v any_o shall_v fall_v into_o it_o this_o be_v great_o the_o care_n of_o our_o apostle_n in_o this_o chapter_n 2._o doctrine_n that_o god_n may_v just_o find_v fault_n with_o those_o who_o he_o harden_a by_o he_o 3._o doctrine_n that_o god_n will_v and_o purpose_n as_o to_o mankind_n in_o order_n to_o mercy_n and_o judgement_n be_v not_o iâ—_n resistible_a this_o i_o have_v also_o speak_v to_o in_o the_o explication_n the_o four_o and_o last_o doctrine_n be_v this_o that_o circumcise_a jew_n a_o people_n near_o to_o god_n and_o a_o people_n that_o have_v receive_v kindness_n from_o
