namely_o by_o fructify_a in_o all_o good_a work_n by_o reap_v fruit_n out_o of_o every_o laudable_a exercise_n and_o other_o we_o must_v not_o addict_v ourselves_o unto_o and_o by_o increase_v in_o the_o knowledge_n of_o god_n by_o make_v it_o our_o study_n better_a to_o understand_v the_o mystery_n of_o our_o faith_n and_o religion_n for_o thereby_o it_o be_v we_o come_v to_o know_v god_n see_v here_o the_o obligation_n we_o have_v to_o be_v daily_o diligent_a in_o learning_n more_o and_o more_o of_o christianity_n and_o not_o to_o lose_v our_o time_n in_o study_v foolery_n for_o thereby_o we_o shall_v hazard_v the_o deserve_a hell_n and_o not_o god_n for_o our_o reward_n 11._o see_v the_o sense_n of_o this_o verse_n explicate_v in_o the_o epistle_n upon_o the_o eighteen_o sunday_n after_o pentecost_n for_o the_o first_o part_n of_o it_o and_o in_o the_o epistle_n upon_o the_o fourteen_o sunday_n for_o the_o second_o part_n thereof_o because_o there_o it_o be_v explicate_v all_o at_o large_a suffice_v it_o to_o note_v here_o his_o aim_n be_v to_o stir_v they_o up_o to_o alacrity_n even_o in_o persecution_n 12._o and_o to_o thank_v god_n the_o father_n for_o the_o benefit_n even_o to_o the_o passion_n of_o christ_n which_o be_v dignify_v from_o the_o deity_n whereunto_o the_o humanity_n be_v unite_v that_o have_v make_v we_o worthy_a this_o show_v how_o little_o we_o ought_v to_o confide_v in_o our_o own_o merit_n since_o even_o all_o the_o good_a we_o do_v be_v by_o the_o special_a grace_n of_o god_n and_o must_v have_v its_o value_n from_o god_n assist_v more_o than_o from_o ourselves_o act_v yet_o by_o both_o together_o we_o become_v worthy_a of_o god_n himself_o for_o our_o reward_n as_o be_v say_v above_o much_o more_o of_o our_o share_n with_o the_o saint_n in_o glory_n though_o here_o the_o apostle_n allude_v chief_o to_o the_o colossian_n be_v make_v worthy_a with_o other_o saint_n of_o the_o light_n and_o glory_n of_o the_o gospel_n by_o their_o conversion_n to_o the_o faith_n of_o christ_n which_o he_o call_v therefore_o the_o lot_n of_o the_o saint_n because_o it_o be_v a_o grace_n gratis_o give_v and_o no_o man_n can_v merit_v his_o conversion_n which_o the_o apostle_n call_v the_o lot_n of_o the_o saint_n in_o the_o light_n of_o the_o gospel_n give_v by_o god_n the_o father_n gratis_o through_o the_o merit_n of_o our_o saviour_n passion_n or_o if_o we_o shall_v take_v the_o complete_a sense_n of_o this_o verse_n it_o import_v the_o lot_n we_o have_v to_o share_v with_o those_o who_o live_v in_o the_o light_n of_o the_o gospel_n be_v the_o begin_n of_o the_o accomplishment_n of_o that_o lot_n when_o we_o shall_v live_v and_o reign_v with_o christ_n and_o his_o saint_n in_o the_o lot_n or_o happiness_n they_o have_v to_o dwell_v in_o the_o light_n of_o eternal_a glory_n 13._o by_o the_o power_n of_o darkness_n be_v here_o understand_v the_o infidelity_n they_o be_v in_o before_o conversion_n when_o they_o be_v under_o the_o command_n of_o the_o prince_n of_o darkness_n as_o be_v then_o in_o his_o power_n by_o this_o graecisme_n or_o phrase_n common_a among_o the_o greek_n viz._n the_o son_n of_o his_o
