acceptable_a to_o god_n but_o you_o say_v this_o righteousness_n can_v make_v atonement_n for_o its_o sin_n therefore_o in_o itself_o can_v never_o be_v acceptable_a to_o god_n posit_n 1._o you_o say_v we_o still_o need_v forgiveness_n and_o the_o merit_n of_o christ_n for_o acceptance_n of_o these_o work_n 1._o then_o i_o say_v they_o be_v sinful_a or_o else_o will_v not_o need_v forgiveness_n 2._o they_o need_v the_o merit_n of_o christ_n and_o therefore_o not_o acceptable_a righteousness_n in_o themselves_o they_o be_v as_o dung_n and_o stink_n in_o the_o nostril_n of_o god_n the_o best_a work_n in_o themselves_o be_v such_o whatever_o be_v not_o capable_a in_o itself_o to_o make_v itself_o acceptable_a in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n if_o it_o have_v no_o relation_n itself_o observe_v still_o what_o we_o say_v no_o good_a work_n of_o a_o believer_n prevail_v to_o acceptation_n of_o we_o and_o if_o not_o it_o prevail_v not_o at_o all_o and_o that_o which_o prevail_v not_o to_o acceptation_n be_v not_o lovely_a in_o itself_o for_o nothing_o be_v lovely_a to_o god_n but_o what_o he_o accept_v and_o hence_o you_o conclude_v it_o be_v not_o dung_n or_o filth_n but_o from_o what_o you_o yourself_o have_v say_v it_o can_v be_v no_o other_o than_o dung_n whatever_o can_v be_v accept_v of_o god_n without_o forgiveness_n and_o the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n to_o make_v it_o acceptable_a be_v in_o itself_o and_o out_o of_o christ_n dung_n but_o i_o perceive_v what_o you_o aim_v at_o that_o it_o be_v a_o righteousness_n that_o come_v in_o for_o a_o share_n with_o christ_n and_o in_o part_n it_o prevail_v to_o acceptation_n though_o not_o altogether_o and_o here_o you_o fall_v in_o with_o the_o council_n of_o trent_n as_o in_o all_o your_o doctrine_n that_o the_o grace_n of_o justification_n and_o acceptance_n
