all_o sum_n of_o money_n so_o to_o be_v borrow_v with_o interest_n for_o the_o same_o not_o exceed_v 7_o l._n per_fw-la cent._n or_o so_o much_o thereof_o as_o shall_v not_o be_v repay_v out_o of_o fraud_n or_o imbezilment_n and_o if_o any_o such_o be_v find_v the_o same_o to_o be_v enter_v and_o subscribe_v in_o the_o say_a book_n by_o the_o principal_a officer_n of_o the_o port_n not_o have_v charge_n of_o the_o warehouse_n and_o copy_n of_o the_o entry_n examination_n and_o claim_n and_o a_o true_a certificate_n of_o the_o deduction_n of_o the_o say_a good_n shall_v be_v transmit_v to_o the_o commissioner_n of_o the_o custom_n with_o monthly_a abstract_n of_o the_o say_a port_n of_o which_o a_o distinct_a account_n shall_v be_v keep_v by_o the_o officer_n of_o the_o seizure_n in_o the_o port_n of_o london_n iv_o such_o good_n shall_v not_o be_v deliver_v out_o of_o any_o the_o say_a warehouse_n till_o a_o judgement_n or_o condemnation_n have_v pass_v upon_o they_o otherwise_o offend_v against_o the_o law_n relate_v to_o custom_n and_o person_n prosecute_v for_o any_o thing_n do_v about_o the_o put_v
the_o say_a corporation_n their_o respective_a heir_n executor_n or_o administrator_n in_o proportion_n to_o their_o respective_a share_n or_o subscription_n wherein_o judgement_n may_v be_v recover_v as_o if_o security_n be_v give_v in_o their_o private_a capacity_n any_o condition_n covenant_n or_o agreement_n to_o the_o contrary_a notwithstanding_o and_o if_o any_o such_o shall_v be_v make_v to_o the_o contrary_a it_o be_v hereby_o declare_v void_a xix_o trade_n corporation_n not_o to_o trade_n the_o corporation_n to_o be_v make_v shall_v not_o trade_n or_o suffer_v any_o person_n in_o great_a seal_n or_o otherwise_o and_o if_o such_o be_v estreat_v into_o their_o majesty_n exchequer_n against_o the_o say_a corporation_n than_o the_o officer_n of_o the_o exchequer_n who_o be_v to_o pay_v the_o yearly_a sum_n of_o 100000_o l._n to_o the_o say_a corporation_n may_v out_o of_o that_o detain_v so_o much_o as_o the_o say_a amerciament_n fine_n or_o issue_n amount_v unto_o xxiii_o corporation_n officer_n of_o the_o exchequer_n may_v satisfy_v the_o execution_n of_o a_o judgement_n against_o the_o corporation_n if_o any_o person_n shall_v obtain_v a_o judgement_n in_o any_o court_n of_o law_n against_o the_o say_a corporation_n for_o any_o debt_n or_o sum_n of_o money_n and_o shall_v bring_v execution_n thereupon_o unto_o the_o say_a officer_n of_o the_o exchequer_n his_o money_n upon_o one_o life_n only_o than_o he_o shall_v have_v and_o receive_v a_o yearly_a annuity_n or_o payment_n of_o 14_o l._n for_o every_o 100_o l._n if_o upon_o two_o life_n then_o of_o 12_o l._n if_o upon_o three_o life_n then_o of_o 10_o l._n and_o so_o proportionable_o for_o a_o great_a sum_n during_o the_o life_n or_o life_n or_o life_n of_o the_o survivor_n the_o life_n or_o life_n to_o be_v nominate_v by_o the_o person_n or_o person_n so_o pay_v the_o same_o and_o that_o the_o life_n be_v nominate_v by_o the_o several_a contributor_n 1694_o the_o live_v to_o be_v nominate_v within_o 30_o day_n after_o the_o 29_o of_o sept_n 1694_o their_o executor_n or_o administrator_n or_o such_o as_o shall_v be_v employ_v by_o they_o to_o pay_v in_o the_o say_a sum_n within_o thirty_o day_n after_o the_o 29_o of_o the_o say_v september_n 1694._o which_o yearly_a annuity_n shall_v commence_v from_o the_o say_v 29_o of_o september_n and_o shall_v be_v pay_v quarterly_o at_o the_o four_o most_o usual_a feast_n of_o the_o year_n by_o equal_a portion_n and_o every_o person_n on_o payment_n of_o such_o sum_n or_o sum_n as_o aforesaid_a same_o the_o annity_n to_o be_v pay_v quarterly_o tally_n for_o the_o payment_n of_o the_o same_o shall_v immediate_o have_v one_o or_o more_o tally_n or_o tally_n import_v the_o receipt_n of_o the_o consideration_n money_n and_o order_n for_o the_o payment_n of_o the_o say_a annuity_n bear_v the_o same_o date_n with_o the_o tally_n the_o say_v tally_n to_o be_v levy_v and_o the_o say_a order_n to_o be_v sign_v in_o the_o same_o manner_n as_o in_o and_o by_o a_o act_n of_o this_o present_a parliament_n entitle_v a_o act_n for_o the_o grant_n to_o their_o majesty_n certain_a rate_n and_o duty_n of_o excise_n upon_o salt_n and_o upon_o beer_n ale_n and_o other_o liquor_n for_o secure_v certain_a recompense_n and_o advantage_n in_o the_o say_a act_n mention_v to_o such_o person_n as_o shall_v voluntary_o deposition_n take_v in_o the_o court_n of_o chancery_n or_o other_o court_n of_o equity_n except_o the_o paper-draught_n take_v by_o the_o commissioner_n before_o they_o be_v ingross_v which_o be_v not_o herein_o before_o charge_v or_o upon_o which_o any_o copy_n of_o any_o bill_n answer_v plea_n demurrer_n replication_n rejoinder_n interrogatories_n deposition_n or_o other_o proceed_n parchment_n herein_o before_o charge_v shall_v be_v ingross_v or_o write_v shall_v be_v stamp_v or_o ingross_v viz._n one_o stamp_v for_o the_o vellum_n parchment_n and_o paper_n charge_v with_o the_o payment_n of_o 40_o s._n for_o every_o skin_n piece_n or_o sheet_n shall_v be_v stamp_v or_o mark_v one_o other_o stamp_n or_o mark_n with_o which_o all_o vellum_n parchment_n and_o paper_n herein_o before_o charge_v with_o the_o payment_n of_o 5_o s._n for_o every_o skin_n sheet_n or_o piece_n as_o aforesaid_a shall_v be_v mark_v or_o stamp_v and_o so_o respective_o a_o different_a mark_n or_o stamp_n with_o which_o all_o vellunâ—_n paper_n and_o parchment_n herein_o before_o charge_v with_o the_o several_a duty_n of_o 2_o s._n 6_o d._n 1_o s._n 6_o d._n and_o 1_o d._n shall_v be_v several_o and_o different_o mark_v and_o stamp_v proclamation_n publish_a by_o proclamation_n which_o say_v several_a mark_n and_o stamp_n shall_v be_v publish_v by_o proclamation_n under_o the_o great_a seal_n a_o convenient_a time_n before_o the_o say_v 28_o day_n of_o june_n to_o the_o end_n all_o person_n may_v have_v due_a notice_n thereof_o and_o the_o say_a mark_n and_o stamp_n may_v be_v alter_v or_o renew_v as_o their_o majesty_n shall_v think_v fit_a public_a notice_n be_v give_v thereof_o by_o proclamation_n xlviii_o write_v the_o vellum_n etc._n etc._n to_o be_v stamp_v before_o write_v all_o vellum_n parchment_n and_o paper_n hereby_o intend_v to_o be_v charge_v with_o the_o several_a and_o respective_a duty_n aforesaid_a shall_v before_o any_o thing_n ingross_v or_o write_v thereon_o be_v bring_v to_o the_o head-office_n or_o some_o other_o sub-commissioner_n or_o officer_n to_o be_v appoint_v for_o the_o same_o to_o be_v stamp_v and_o mark_v who_o upon_o demand_n shall_v stamp_v or_o mark_v it_o upon_o payment_n of_o the_o respective_a duty_n without_o other_o fee_n which_o stamp_n or_o mark_n shall_v be_v a_o sufficient_a discharge_n for_o the_o respective_a duty_n aforesaid_a xlix_o pay_v penalty_n of_o stamp_v before_o duty_n pay_v if_o any_o commissioner_n or_o officer_n shall_v fix_v the_o mark_n or_o stamp_n before_o the_o respective_a duty_n thereon_o charge_v shall_v be_v due_o pay_v or_o secure_v he_o shall_v forfeit_v for_o every_o such_o offence_n 100_o l._n l._n stamp_v penalty_n of_o write_v before_o it_o be_v stamp_v if_o any_o person_n shall_v engross_v or_o write_v or_o cause_n to_o be_v ingross_v or_o write_v upon_o any_o vellum_n parchment_n or_o paper_n any_o thing_n for_o which_o the_o say_a vellum_n etc._n etc._n be_v hereby_o charge_v before_o it_o shall_v be_v mark_v or_o stamp_v as_o aforesaid_a or_o upon_o which_o there_o shall_v not_o be_v some_o stamp_n or_o mark_n resemble_v the_o same_o or_o shall_v engross_v or_o write_v upon_o any_o vellum_n parchment_n or_o paper_n that_o shall_v be_v mark_v or_o stamp_v for_o any_o low_a duty_n than_o the_o duty_n by_o this_o act_n payable_a the_o offender_n for_o every_o such_o offence_n shall_v forfeit_v 500_o l._n li._n practice_n penalty_n on_o officer_n clerk_n or_o attorney_n for_o fraudulent_a practice_n any_o clerk_n or_o officer_n who_o in_o respect_n of_o his_o public_a office_n or_o employment_n be_v or_o shall_v be_v entitle_v or_o entrust_v to_o make_v engross_v or_o write_v any_o record_n deed_n instrument_n or_o write_n by_o this_o act_n chargeable_a as_o aforesaid_a shall_v be_v guilty_a of_o any_o fraud_n or_o practice_n by_o make_v engross_a or_o write_v any_o such_o record_n deed_n instrument_n or_o write_v upon_o vellum_n parchment_n or_o paper_n not_o mark_v or_o upon_o which_o there_o shall_v not_o be_v some_o stamp_n or_o mark_n resemble_v the_o same_o or_o upon_o vellum_n parchment_n or_o paper_n stamp_v with_o this_o mark_n or_o stamp_v which_o he_o shall_v know_v to_o be_v counterfeit_v or_o upon_o vellum_n parchment_n or_o paper_n that_o shall_v be_v mark_v or_o stamp_v for_o a_o low_a duty_n as_o aforesaid_a every_o such_o officer_n etc._n etc._n so_o guilty_a and_o thereof_o lawful_o convict_v shall_v over_z and_z above_o the_o penalty_n aforesaid_a forfeit_v his_o office_n place_n or_o employment_n and_o if_o any_o attorney_n shall_v be_v guilty_a thereof_o and_o convict_v he_o shall_v be_v disable_v for_o the_o future_a to_o practise_v as_o a_o attorney_n and_o if_o any_o deed_n instrument_n or_o write_n shall_v be_v write_v or_o ingross_v by_o any_o person_n not_o be_v a_o know_a officer_n or_o of_o public_a employment_n entitle_v to_o write_v or_o engross_v the_o same_o upon_o vellum_n parchment_n or_o paper_n not_o mark_v or_o stamp_v according_a to_o this_o act_n or_o of_o a_o low_a duty_n as_o aforesaid_a stamp_n penalty_n of_o forge_v a_o stamp_n in_o every_o such_o case_n there_o shall_v be_v due_a to_o their_o majesty_n over_o and_o above_o the_o duty_n aforesaid_a the_o sum_n of_o 5_o l._n for_o every_o such_o deed_n and_o no_o such_o deed_n or_o record_n shall_v be_v plead_v or_o give_v in_o evidence_n in_o any_o court_n either_o of_o law_n or_o equity_n till_o the_o say_v 5_o l._n be_v pay_v and_o the_o say_a vellum_n parchment_n or_o paper_n be_v stamp_v with_o a_o lawful_a mark_n which_o the_o officer_n be_v to_o do_v upon_o payment_n of_o the_o say_v 5_o l._n and_o if_o any_o person_n shall_v counterfeit_v or_o form_v any_o stamp_n or_o mark_v to_o resemble_v any_o stamp_n provide_v by_o this_o act_n or_o shall_v counterfeit_v or_o resemble_v the_o impression_n of_o the_o same_o upon_o any_o vellum_n parchment_n or_o paper_n to_o defraud_v their_o majesty_n of_o the_o duty_n hereby_o grant_v or_o
