so_o by_o pray_v unto_o god_n for_o they_o that_o he_o will_v keep_v their_o foot_n from_o be_v take_v in_o the_o snare_n of_o this_o world_n abundance_n and_o again_o by_o suffer_v they_o to_o enjoy_v their_o wealth_n not_o only_o without_o any_o impeachment_n or_o impair_n of_o it_o by_o they_o but_o without_o their_o have_v a_o evil_a eye_n upon_o it_o without_o envy_v or_o repine_v that_o they_o ride_v upon_o horse_n when_o as_o themselves_o go_v on_o foot_n and_o yet_o further_o by_o not_o suffer_v as_o far_o as_o lie_v in_o they_o any_o person_n whatsoever_o unrighteous_o to_o touch_v any_o thing_n that_o be_v they_o by_o â—â—stifying_v their_o good_a will_n towards_o they_o in_o endeavour_v to_o stop_v all_o hard_a saying_n and_o sinister_a report_n concerning_o they_o as_o of_o covetousness_n pride_n hardness_n etc._n etc._n so_o also_o by_o a_o ready_a free_a diligent_a and_o faithful_a serve_v they_o in_o all_o such_o occasion_n wherein_o at_o any_o time_n they_o shall_v stand_v in_o need_n of_o their_o help_n and_o desire_v it_o for_o rich_a man_n be_v not_o privilege_v by_o their_o riches_n against_o all_o kind_n of_o misery_n nor_o against_o all_o want_n indigency_n or_o necessity_n yea_o they_o have_v their_o dependency_n upon_o the_o poor_a sort_n of_o man_n as_o well_o as_o these_o have_v they_o upon_o they_o and_o these_o perhaps_o if_o thing_n field_n viz._n the_o care_n and_o labour_n of_o the_o poor_a husbandman_n intervene_v and_o in_o such_o a_o sense_n as_o this_o in_o which_o he_o be_v or_o may_v be_v say_v to_o be_v a_o servant_n to_o the_o field_n he_o may_v be_v also_o say_v to_o be_v a_o servant_n to_o the_o husbandman_n the_o philosopher_n likewise_o in_o his_o fable_n of_o the_o lion_n and_o the_o mouse_n very_o emphatical_o teach_v the_o grand_a necessity_n which_o the_o great_a of_o man_n may_v sometime_o have_v of_o the_o help_n of_o the_o mean_a where_o he_o fanci_v the_o lion_n be_v take_v entangle_v and_o hold_v fast_o in_o the_o toil_n or_o net_n of_o the_o hunter_n that_o the_o mouse_n upon_o the_o lion_n roar_v come_v and_o with_o her_o little_a tooth_n gnaw_v the_o net_n insunder_o until_o way_n be_v make_v for_o the_o lion_n escape_n so_o than_o the_o poor_a sort_n of_o man_n that_o be_v but_o able_a to_o give_v a_o cup_n of_o cold_a water_n or_o to_o speak_v a_o good_a word_n of_o a_o man_n or_o to_o conceive_v a_o prayer_n for_o he_o or_o to_o forgive_v injury_n or_o to_o minister_v with_o the_o hand_n to_o any_o man_n outward_a occaosin_n when_o desire_v or_o the_o like_a may_v be_v mreciful_a to_o what_o degree_n they_o please_v in_o their_o way_n and_o consequent_o be_v as_o capable_a of_o that_o high_a privilege_n a_o glorious_a security_n from_o condemnation_n as_o rich_a man_n themselves_o this_o in_o the_o first_o place_n 2._o when_o the_o doctrine_n affirm_v that_o a_o merciful_a frame_n of_o heart_n be_v a_o proper_a mean_n to_o secure_v it_o against_o condemnation_n and_o the_o fear_n of_o it_o the_o meaning_n be_v not_o nor_o be_v it_o employ_v that_o all_o person_n who_o be_v commendable_o and_o christianly_o merciful_a do_v actual_o or_o at_o all_o time_n enjoy_v themselves_o in_o this_o bless_a security_n some_o may_v not_o so_o thorough_o understand_v either_o the_o nature_n of_o mercy_n or_o the_o nature_n of_o god_n so_o sympathize_v with_o it_o or_o may_v forget_v at_o present_a to_o compare_v the_o one_o with_o the_o other_o or_o neglect_v to_o consider_v how_o god_n have_v pour_v out_o himself_o in_o promise_n of_o grace_n and_o mercy_n unto_o person_n of_o this_o heavenly_a character_n therefore_o all_o the_o doctrine_n intend_v as_o to_o this_o point_n be_v that_o person_n signal_o merciful_a or_o full_a of_o revenue_n of_o heavenly_a comfort_n and_o peace_n and_o so_o enjoy_v that_o which_o we_o have_v part_v with_o upon_o far_o better_a term_n than_o we_o can_v have_v possess_v it_o you_o on_o the_o contrary_a by_o shut_v up_o your_o compassion_n from_o the_o importunate_a cry_n of_o the_o misery_n and_o extremity_n of_o the_o needy_a cast_v in_o your_o whole_a estate_n into_o the_o devil_n treasury_n and_o consult_v to_o yourselves_o both_o the_o present_a torment_n of_o the_o fear_n and_o the_o future_a torment_n itself_o of_o suffer_v the_o vengeance_n of_o eternal_a fire_n the_o
