low_a orb_n it_o be_v to_o be_v wish_v and_o be_v fit_a to_o be_v so_o order_v that_o every_o of_o they_o keep_v themselves_o within_o their_o proper_a sphere_n the_o harmony_n of_o justice_n be_v then_o the_o sweet_a when_o there_o be_v no_o jar_v about_o the_o jurisdiction_n of_o the_o court_n which_o methinks_v wisdom_n can_v much_o differ_v upon_o their_o true_a bound_n be_v for_o the_o most_o part_n so_o clear_o know_v 19_o have_v say_v thus_o much_o of_o the_o judge_n somewhat_o will_v be_v fit_a to_o put_v you_o in_o mind_n concern_v the_o principal_a minister_n of_o justice_n and_o in_o the_o first_o of_o the_o high-sheriff_n of_o the_o county_n which_o have_v be_v very_o ancient_a in_o this_o kingdom_n i_o be_o sure_a before_o the_o conquest_n the_o choice_n of_o they_o i_o commend_v to_o your_o care_n and_o that_o at_o fit_a time_n you_o put_v the_o king_n in_o mind_n thereof_o that_o as_o near_o as_o may_v be_v they_o be_v such_o as_o be_v fit_a for_o those_o place_n for_o they_o be_v of_o great_a trust_n and_o power_n the_o pesse_fw-la comitatus_fw-la the_o power_n of_o the_o whole_a county_n be_v legal_o commit_v unto_o he_o 20._o therefore_o it_o be_v agreeable_a with_o the_o intention_n of_o the_o law_n that_o the_o choice_n of_o they_o shall_v be_v by_o the_o commendation_n of_o the_o great_a officer_n of_o the_o kingdom_n and_o by_o the_o advice_n of_o the_o judge_n who_o be_v presume_v to_o be_v well_o read_v in_o the_o condition_n of_o the_o gentry_n of_o the_o whole_a kingdom_n and_o although_o the_o king_n may_v do_v it_o of_o himself_o yet_o the_o old_a way_n be_v the_o good_a way_n 21._o but_o i_o utter_o condemn_v the_o practice_n of_o the_o latter_a time_n which_o have_v late_o creep_v into_o the_o court_n at_o the_o back-stair_n that_o some_o who_o be_v prick_v for_o sheriff_n and_o be_v fit_a shall_v get_v out_o of_o the_o bill_n and_o other_o who_o be_v neither_o thought_n upon_o nor_o worthy_a to_o be_v shall_v be_v nominate_v and_o both_o for_o money_n 22._o i_o must_v not_o omit_v to_o put_v you_o in_o mind_n of_o the_o lord_n lieutenant_n and_o deputy_n lieutenant_n of_o the_o county_n their_o proper_a use_n be_v for_o order_v the_o military_a affair_n in_o order_n to_o a_o invasion_n from_o abroad_o or_o a_o rebellion_n or_o sedition_n at_o home_n good_a choice_n shall_v be_v make_v of_o they_o and_o prudent_a instruction_n give_v to_o they_o and_o as_o little_a of_o the_o arbitrary_a power_n as_o may_v be_v leave_v unto_o they_o and_o that_o the_o mustermaster_n and_o other_o officer_n under_o they_o encroach_v not_o upon_o the_o subject_a that_o will_v detract_v much_o from_o the_o king_n service_n 23._o the_o justice_n of_o peace_n be_v of_o great_a use_n ancient_o there_o be_v conservator_n of_o the_o peace_n these_o be_v the_o same_o save_v that_o several_a act_n of_o parliament_n have_v alter_v their_o denomination_n and_o enlarge_v their_o jurisdiction_n in_o many_o particular_n the_o fit_a they_o be_v for_o the_o peace_n of_o the_o kingdom_n the_o more_o heed_n ought_v to_o be_v take_v in_o the_o choice_n of_o they_o 24._o but_o negative_o this_o i_o shall_v be_v bold_a to_o say_v that_o none_o shall_v be_v put_v into_o either_o of_o those_o commission_n with_o a_o eye_n of_o favour_n to_o their_o person_n to_o give_v they_o countenance_n or_o reputation_n in_o the_o place_n where_o they_o live_v but_o for_o the_o king_n service_n sake_n nor_o any_o put_v out_o for_o the_o disfavour_n of_o any_o great_a man_n it_o have_v be_v too_o often_o use_v and_o have_v be_v no_o good_a service_n to_o the_o king_n 25._o a_o word_n more_o if_o you_o please_v to_o give_v i_o leave_v for_o the_o true_a rule_n of_o the_o moderation_n of_o justice_n on_o the_o king_n part_n the_o execution_n of_o justice_n be_v commit_v to_o his_o judge_n which_o seem_v tobe_n the_o severe_a part_n but_o the_o mild_a part_n which_o be_v mercy_n be_v whole_o leave_v in_o the_o king_n immediate_a hand_n and_o justice_n and_o mercy_n be_v the_o true_a supporter_n of_o his_o royal_a throne_n 26._o if_o the_o king_n shall_v be_v whole_o intent_n upon_o justice_n it_o may_v appear_v with_o a_o overrigid_a aspect_n but_o if_o he_o shall_v be_v over_o remiss_a and_o easy_a it_o draw_v upon_o he_o contempt_n example_n of_o justice_n must_v be_v make_v sometime_o for_o terror_n to_o some_o example_n of_o mercy_n sometime_o for_o comfort_n to_o other_o the_o one_o procure_v fear_n and_o the_o other_o love_n a_o king_n must_v be_v both_o fear_v and_o love_v else_o he_o be_v lose_v 27._o the_o ordinary_a court_n of_o justice_n i_o have_v speak_v of_o and_o of_o their_o judge_n and_o judicature_n i_o shall_v put_v you_o in_o mind_n of_o some_o thing_n touch_v the_o high_a court_n of_o parliament_n in_o england_n which_o be_v superlative_a and_o therefore_o it_o will_v behoove_v i_o to_o speak_v the_o more_o wary_o thereof_o 28._o for_o the_o institution_n of_o it_o it_o be_v very_o ancient_a in_o this_o kingdom_n it_o consist_v of_o the_o two_o house_n of_o peer_n and_o commons_o as_o the_o member_n and_o of_o the_o king_n majesty_n as_o the_o head_n of_o that_o great_a body_n by_o the_o king_n authority_n alone_o and_o by_o his_o writ_n they_o be_v assemble_v and_o by_o he_o alone_o be_v they_o prorogue_v and_o dissolve_v but_o each_o house_n may_v adjourn_v itself_o 29._o they_o be_v thus_o assemble_v be_v more_o proper_o a_o council_n to_o the_o king_n the_o great_a council_n of_o the_o kingdom_n to_o advise_v his_o majesty_n in_o those_o thing_n of_o weight_n and_o difficulty_n which_o concern_v both_o the_o king_n and_o people_n than_o a_o court._n 30._o no_o new_a law_n can_v be_v make_v nor_o old_a law_n abrogate_a or_o alter_v but_o by_o common_a consent_n in_o parliament_n where_o bill_n be_v prepare_v and_o present_v to_o the_o two_o house_n and_o then_o deliver_v but_o nothing_o be_v conclude_v but_o by_o the_o king_n royal_a assent_n they_o be_v but_o embryos_n it_o be_v he_o give_v life_n unto_o they_o 31._o yet_o the_o house_n of_o peer_n have_v a_o power_n of_o judicature_n in_o some_o case_n proper_o to_o examine_v and_o then_o to_o affirm_v or_o if_o there_o be_v cause_n to_o reverse_v the_o judgement_n which_o have_v be_v give_v in_o the_o court_n of_o king_n bench_n which_o be_v the_o court_n of_o high_a jurisdiction_n in_o the_o kingdom_n for_o ordinary_a judicature_n but_o in_o these_o case_n it_o must_v be_v do_v by_o writ_n of_o error_n in_o parliamento_fw-la and_o thus_o the_o rule_n of_o their_o proceed_n be_v not_o absoluta_fw-la potestas_fw-la as_o in_o make_v new_a law_n in_o that_o conjuncture_n as_o before_o but_o limitata_fw-la potestas_fw-la according_o to_o the_o know_a law_n of_o the_o land_n 32._o but_o the_o house_n of_o commons_o have_v only_a power_n to_o censure_v the_o member_n of_o their_o own_o house_n in_o point_n of_o election_n or_o misdemeanour_n in_o or_o towards_o that_o house_n and_o have_v not_o nor_o ever_o have_v power_n so_o much_o as_o to_o administer_v a_o oath_n to_o prepare_v a_o judgement_n 33._o the_o true_a use_n of_o parliament_n in_o this_o kingdom_n be_v very_o excellent_a and_o they_o will_v be_v often_o call_v as_o the_o affair_n of_o the_o kingdom_n shall_v require_v and_o continue_v as_o long_o as_o be_v necessary_a and_o no_o long_o for_o than_o they_o be_v but_o burden_n to_o the_o people_n by_o reason_n of_o the_o privilege_n just_o due_a to_o the_o member_n of_o the_o two_o house_n and_o their_o attendant_n which_o their_o just_a right_n and_o privilege_n be_v religious_o to_o be_v observe_v and_o maintain_v but_o if_o they_o shall_v be_v unjust_o enlarge_v beyond_o their_o true_a bound_n they_o may_v lessen_v the_o just_a power_n of_o the_o crown_n it_o border_n so_o near_o upon_o popularity_n 34._o all_o this_o while_n i_o have_v speak_v concern_v the_o common_a law_n of_o england_n general_o and_o proper_o so_o call_v because_o it_o be_v most_o general_a and_o common_a to_o almost_o all_o case_n and_o cause_n both_o civil_a and_o criminal_a but_o there_o be_v also_o another_o law_n which_o be_v call_v the_o civil_a or_o ecclesiastical_a law_n which_o be_v confine_v to_o some_o few_o head_n and_o that_o be_v not_o to_o be_v neglect_v and_o although_o i_o be_o a_o professor_n of_o the_o common_a law_n yet_o be_o i_o so_o much_o a_o lover_n of_o truth_n and_o of_o learning_n and_o of_o my_o native_a country_n that_o i_o do_v hearty_o persuade_v that_o the_o professor_n of_o that_o law_n call_v civilian_n because_o the_o civil_a law_n be_v their_o guide_n shall_v not_o be_v discountenance_v nor_o discourage_v else_o whensoever_o we_o shall_v have_v aught_o to_o do_v with_o any_o foreign_a king_n or_o state_n we_o shall_v be_v
we_o remember_v our_o part_n to_o be_v to_o make_v he_o delinquent_n to_o the_o peer_n and_o not_o odions_a to_o the_o people_n that_o part_n of_o the_o evidence_n of_o the_o lady_n exposition_n of_o the_o pronoun_n he_o which_o be_v first_o catch_v hold_n of_o by_o i_o and_o after_o by_o his_o majesty_n singular_a wisdom_n and_o conscience_n except_v to_o and_o now_o be_v by_o her_o re-examination_n retract_v i_o have_v give_v order_n to_o sergeant_n montague_n within_o who_o part_n it_o fall_v to_o leave_v it_o out_o of_o the_o evidence_n i_o do_v yet_o crave_v pardon_n if_o i_o do_v not_o certify_v touch_v the_o point_n of_o law_n for_o respit_v the_o judgement_n for_o i_o have_v not_o full_o advise_v with_o my_o lord_n chancellor_n concern_v it_o but_o i_o will_v advertise_v it_o in_o time_n i_o send_v his_o majesty_n the_o lord_n steward_n commission_n in_o two_o several_a instrument_n the_o one_o to_o remain_v with_o my_o lord_n chancellor_n which_o be_v that_o which_o be_v write_v in_o secretary_n hand_n for_o his_o warrant_n and_o be_v to_o pass_v the_o signet_n the_o other_o that_o whereunto_o the_o great_a seal_n be_v to_o be_v affix_v which_o be_v in_o chancery_n hand_n his_o majesty_n be_v to_o sign_v they_o both_o and_o to_o transmit_v the_o former_a to_o the_o signet_n if_o the_o secretary_n either_o of_o they_o be_v there_o and_o both_o of_o they_o be_v to_o be_v return_v to_o i_o with_o all_o speed_n i_o ever_o rest_n your_o true_a and_o devote_a servant_n may_v 5._o 1616._o sir_n francis_n bacon_n the_o king_n attorney_n and_o some_o great_a lord_n commissioner_n concern_v the_o persuasion_n use_v to_o the_o lord_n of_o somerset_n to_o a_o frank_a confession_n it_o may_v please_v your_o majesty_n we_o have_v do_v our_o best_a endeavour_n to_o perform_v your_o majesty_n commission_n both_o in_o matter_n and_o manner_n for_o the_o examination_n of_o my_o lord_n of_o somerset_n wherein_o that_o which_o pass_v for_o the_o general_a be_v to_o this_o effect_n that_o he_o be_v to_o know_v his_o own_o case_n for_o that_o his_o day_n of_o trial_n can_v not_o be_v far_o off_o but_o that_o this_o day_n work_n be_v that_o which_o will_v conduce_v to_o your_o majesty_n justice_n little_a or_o nothing_o but_o to_o your_o mercy_n much_o if_o he_o do_v lay_v hold_n upon_o it_o and_o therefore_o may_v do_v he_o good_a but_o can_v do_v he_o no_o hurt_n for_o as_o for_o your_o justice_n there_o have_v be_v take_v great_a and_o grave_a opinion_n not_o only_o of_o such_o judge_n as_o he_o may_v think_v violent_a but_o of_o the_o most_o sad_a and_o most_o temperate_a of_o the_o kingdom_n who_o ought_v to_o understand_v the_o state_n of_o the_o proof_n that_o the_o evidence_n be_v full_a to_o convict_v he_o so_o as_o there_o need_v neither_o confession_n nor_o supply_v of_o examination_n but_o for_o your_o majesty_n mercy_n although_o he_o be_v not_o to_o expect_v we_o shall_v make_v any_o promise_n we_o do_v assure_v he_o that_o your_o majesty_n be_v compassionate_a of_o he_o if_o he_o give_v you_o some_o ground_n whereon_o to_o work_v that_o as_o long_o as_o he_o stand_v upon_o his_o innocency_n and_o trial_n your_o majesty_n be_v tie_v in_o honour_n to_o proceed_v according_a to_o justice_n and_o that_o he_o little_o understand_v be_v a_o close_a prisoner_n how_o much_o the_o expectation_n of_o the_o world_n beside_o your_o love_n to_o justice_n itself_o engage_v your_o majesty_n whatsoever_o your_o inclination_n be_v but_o nevertheless_o that_o a_o frank_a and_o clear_a confession_n may_v open_v the_o gate_n of_o mercy_n and_o help_v to_o satisfy_v the_o point_n of_o honour_n that_o his_o lady_n as_o he_o know_v and_o that_o after_o many_o oath_n and_o imprecation_n to_o the_o contrary_a have_v nevertheless_o in_o the_o end_n be_v touch_v with_o remorse_n confess_v that_o she_o that_o lead_v he_o to_o offend_v may_v lead_v he_o likewise_o to_o repent_v of_o his_o offence_n that_o the_o confession_n of_o one_o of_o they_o can_v not_o fit_o do_v either_o of_o they_o much_o good_a but_o the_o confession_n of_o both_o of_o they_o may_v work_v some_o further_a effect_n towards_o both_o and_o therefore_o in_o conclusion_n we_o wish_v he_o not_o to_o shut_v the_o gate_n of_o your_o majesty_n mercy_n against_o himself_o by_o be_v obdurate_a any_o long_o this_o be_v the_o effect_n of_o that_o which_o be_v speak_v part_n by_o one_o of_o we_o part_n by_o another_o as_o it_o fall_v out_o add_v further_a that_o he_o may_v well_o discern_v who_o speak_v in_o we_o in_o the_o course_n we_o hold_v for_o that_o commissioner_n of_o examination_n may_v not_o presume_v so_o far_o of_o themselves_o not_o to_o trouble_v your_o majesty_n with_o circumstance_n of_o his_o answer_n the_o sequel_n be_v no_o other_o but_o that_o we_o find_v he_o still_o not_o to_o come_v any_o degree_n further_o on_o to_o confess_v only_o his_o behaviour_n be_v very_o sober_a and_o modest_a and_o mild_a differ_v apparent_o from_o other_o time_n but_o yet_o as_o it_o seem_v resolve_v to_o expect_v his_o trial_n then_o do_v we_o proceed_v to_o examine_v he_o upon_o divers_a question_n touch_v the_o impoysonment_n which_o indeed_o be_v very_o material_a and_o supplemental_a to_o the_o former_a evidence_n wherein_o either_o his_o affirmative_n give_v some_o light_n or_o his_o negative_n do_v great_o falsify_v he_o in_o that_o which_o be_v apparent_o prove_v we_o make_v this_o further_a observation_n that_o when_o we_o ask_v he_o some_o question_n that_o do_v touch_v the_o prince_n or_o some_o foreign_a practice_n which_o we_o do_v very_o spare_o at_o this_o time_n yet_o he_o grow_v a_o little_a stir_v but_o in_o the_o question_n of_o the_o impoysonment_n very_o cold_a and_o modest_a thus_o not_o think_v it_o necessary_a to_o trouble_v your_o majesty_n with_o any_o further_a particular_n we_o end_v with_o prayer_n to_o god_n ever_o to_o preserve_v your_o majesty_n your_o majesty_n most_o loyal_a and_o faithful_a servant_n etc._n etc._n if_o it_o seem_v good_a unto_o your_o majesty_n we_o think_v it_o not_o amiss_o some_o preacher_n well_o choose_v will_v be_v 1_o whether_o your_o majesty_n will_v stay_v the_o trial_n and_o so_o save_v they_o both_o from_o the_o stage_n and_o that_o public_a ignominy_n or_o 2_o whether_o you_o will_v or_o may_v whether_o you_o will_v have_v both_o trial_n and_o judgement_n proceed_v and_o save_v the_o blood_n only_o not_o from_o corrupt_v but_o from_o spill_v rex_fw-la i_o say_v with_o apollo_n media_fw-la last_o  _fw-fr these_z be_v the_o depth_n of_o your_o majesty_n mercy_n which_o i_o may_v not_o enter_v into_o but_o for_o honour_n and_o reputation_n they_o have_v these_o ground_n  _fw-fr that_o the_o blood_n of_o overbury_n be_v already_o revenge_v by_o divers_a execution_n  _fw-fr that_o confession_n and_o penitency_n be_v the_o footstool_n of_o mercy_n add_v this_o circumstance_n likewise_o that_o the_o former_a offender_n do_v none_o of_o they_o make_v a_o clear_a confession_n  _fw-fr that_o the_o great_a downfall_n of_o so_o great_a person_n carry_v in_o itself_o a_o heavy_a punishment_n and_o a_o kind_n of_o civil_a death_n although_o their_o life_n shall_v not_o be_v take_v all_o which_o may_v satisfy_v honour_n for_o spare_v their_o life_n but_o if_o your_o majesty_n mercy_n shall_v extend_v to_o the_o first_o degree_n which_o be_v the_o high_a of_o spare_v the_o stage_n and_o the_o trial_n then_o three_o thing_n be_v to_o be_v consider_v rex_fw-la this_o article_n can_v be_v mend_v in_o point_n thereof_o first_o that_o they_o make_v such_o a_o submission_n or_o deprecation_n as_o they_o prostrate_v themselves_o and_o all_o that_o they_o have_v at_o your_o majesty_n foot_n implore_v your_o mercy_n  _fw-fr second_o that_o your_o majesty_n in_o your_o own_o wisdom_n do_v advise_v what_o course_n you_o will_v take_v for_o the_o utter_a extinguish_n of_o all_o hope_n of_o resuscitate_v of_o their_o fortune_n and_o favour_n whereof_o if_o there_o shall_v be_v the_o least_o conceit_n it_o will_v leave_v in_o man_n a_o great_a deal_n of_o envy_n and_o discontent_n  _fw-fr and_n last_o whether_o your_o majesty_n will_v not_o suffer_v it_o to_o be_v think_v abroad_o that_o there_o be_v cause_n of_o further_a examination_n of_o somerset_n concern_v matter_n of_o estate_n after_o he_o shall_v begin_v once_o to_o be_v a_o confessant_a and_o so_o make_v as_o well_o a_o politic_a ground_n as_o a_o ground_n of_o clemency_n for_o further_a stay_n and_o for_o the_o second_o degree_n of_o proceed_v to_o trial_n and_o stay_v judgement_n i_o must_v better_o inform_v myself_o by_o precedent_n and_o advise_v with_o my_o lord_n chancellor_n the_o second_o case_n be_v if_o that_o fall_n out_o which_o be_v like_a as_o thing_n stand_v and_o which_o we_o expect_v which_o be_v that_o the_o lady_n confess_v and_o that_o somerset_n himself_o plead_v not_o guilty_a and_o be_v find_v guilty_a in_o this_o case_n first_o i_o suppose_v your_o majesty_n will_v not_o think_v of_o any_o stay_n of_o judgement_n but_o that_o the_o public_a process_n of_o justice_n pass_v on_o rex_fw-la if_o stay_n of_o judgement_n can_v stand_v with_o the_o law_n i_o will_v even_o wish_v it_o in_o this_o case_n in_o all_o the_o rest_n this_o article_n can_v be_v mend_v second_o for_o your_o mercy_n to_o be_v extend_v to_o both_o for_o pardon_v of_o their_o execution_n i_o have_v partly_o touch_v in_o the_o consideration_n apply_v to_o the_o former_a case_n whereunto_o may_v be_v add_v that_o as_o there_o be_v ground_n of_o mercy_n for_o she_o upon_o her_o penitency_n and_o free_a confession_n and_o will_v be_v much_o more_o upon_o his_o find_v guilty_a because_o the_o malice_n on_o his_o part_n will_v be_v think_v the_o deep_a source_n of_o the_o offence_n so_o there_o will_v be_v ground_n for_o mercy_n on_o his_o part_n upon_o the_o nature_n of_o the_o proof_n because_o it_o rest_v chief_o upon_o presumption_n for_o certain_o there_o may_v be_v a_o evidence_n so_o balance_v as_o it_o may_v have_v sufficient_a matter_n for_o the_o conscience_n of_o the_o peer_n to_o convict_v he_o and_o yet_o leave_v sufficient_a matter_n in_o the_o conscience_n of_o a_o king_n upon_o the_o same_o evidence_n to_o pardon_v his_o life_n because_o the_o peer_n be_v astringe_v by_o necessity_n either_o to_o acquit_v or_o condemn_v but_o grace_n be_v free_a and_o for_o my_o part_n i_o think_v the_o evidence_n in_o this_o present_a case_n will_v be_v of_o such_o a_o nature_n  _fw-fr three_o it_o shall_v be_v my_o care_n so_o to_o moderate_v the_o manner_n of_o charge_v he_o as_o it_o may_v make_v he_o not_o odious_a beyond_o the_o extent_n of_o mercy_n rex_fw-la that_o danger_n be_v well_o to_o be_v foresee_v lest_o he_o upon_o the_o one_o part_n commit_v impardonable_a error_n and_o i_o on_o the_o other_o part_n seem_v to_o punish_v he_o in_o the_o spirit_n of_o revenge_n last_o all_o these_o point_n of_o mercy_n and_o favour_n be_v to_o be_v understand_v with_o this_o limitation_n if_o he_o do_v not_o by_o his_o contemptuous_a and_o insolent_a carriage_n at_o the_o bar_n make_v himself_o uncapable_a and_o unworthy_a of_o they_o the_o three_o case_n be_v if_o he_o shall_v stand_v mute_a and_o will_v not_o plead_v whereof_o in_o this_o case_n i_o shall_v think_v fit_a that_o as_o in_o public_a both_o myself_o and_o chief_o my_o lord_n chancellor_n sit_v then_o as_o lord_n steward_n of_o your_o majesty_n know_v there_o have_v be_v some_o secret_a question_n england_n shall_v dehort_v and_o deter_v he_o from_o that_o desperation_n so_o nevertheless_o that_o as_o much_o shall_v be_v do_v for_o he_o as_o be_v do_v for_o weston_n which_o be_v to_o adjourn_v the_o court_n some_o day_n upon_o a_o christian_a ground_n that_o he_o may_v have_v time_n to_o turn_v from_o that_o mind_n of_o destroy_v himself_o during_o which_o time_n your_o majesty_n further_a pleasure_n may_v be_v know_v rex_fw-la this_o article_n can_v be_v mend_v  _fw-fr the_o four_o case_n be_v that_o which_o i_o shall_v be_v very_o sorry_a shall_v happen_v but_o it_o be_v a_o future_a contingent_a that_o be_v if_o the_o peer_n shall_v acquit_v he_o and_o find_v he_o not_o guilty_a in_o this_o case_n the_o lord_n steward_n must_v be_v provide_v what_o to_o do_v for_o as_o it_o have_v be_v never_o see_v as_o i_o conceive_v it_o that_o there_o shall_v be_v any_o reject_v of_o the_o verdict_n or_o any_o respiting_a of_o the_o judgement_n of_o the_o acquittal_n so_o on_o the_o other_o side_n this_o case_n require_v that_o because_o there_o be_v many_o high_a and_o heinous_a offence_n though_o not_o capital_a for_o which_o he_o may_v be_v question_v in_o the_o star-chamber_n or_o otherwise_o that_o there_o be_v some_o touch_n of_o that_o in_o general_a at_o the_o conclusion_n by_o my_o lord_n steward_n of_o england_n and_o that_o therefore_o he_o be_v remand_v to_o the_o tower_n as_o close_a prisoner_n rex_fw-la this_o be_v so_o also_o  _fw-fr for_o matter_n of_o examination_n or_o other_o proceed_n my_o lord_n
