let_v we_o come_v to_o our_o sick_a text_n or_o text_n of_o sickness_n in_o the_o sick_a man_n his_o sore_n which_o be_v the_o first_o part_n of_o this_o treatise_n upon_o the_o five_o verse_n here_o set_v down_o we_o have_v these_o three_o thing_n particular_o to_o consider_v first_o who_o be_v those_o who_o be_v say_v here_o to_o be_v afflict_v second_o what_o be_v the_o cause_n of_o all_o their_o affliction_n three_o what_o be_v the_o particular_a affliction_n set_v down_o in_o this_o text._n 1._o who_o be_v say_v to_o be_v afflict_v here_o note_n in_o this_o part_n of_o scripture_n we_o have_v a_o visitation_n of_o the_o sick_a look_v to_o your_o book_n and_o the_o first_o word_n of_o my_o text_n shall_v tell_v you_o who_o be_v sick_a who_o fool_n fool_n say_v the_o psalmist_n because_o of_o their_o transgression_n and_o because_o of_o their_o iniquity_n be_v afflict_v note_n i_o read_v in_o scripture_n of_o four_o sort_n of_o fool_n of_o these_o two_o be_v wise_a and_o two_o be_v fool_n indeed_o first_o these_o be_v call_v fool_n in_o scripture_n that_o acknowledge_v their_o ownefoolishnesse_n 18._o if_o any_o man_n among_o you_o say_v the_o apostle_n seem_v to_o be_v wise_a in_o this_o world_n let_v he_o become_v a_o fool_n thâ—â—_n be_v may_v be_v wise_a note_n this_o be_v wise_a agurs_n confession_n which_o he_o make_v to_o ithiel_n and_o vâ—â—l_n sure_o say_v he_o 2._o i_o be_o more_o brutish_a than_o any_o man_n and_o have_v not_o the_o understanding_n of_o a_o man_n i_o neither_o learned_a wisdom_n nor_o have_v the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o holy_a 3._o note_v second_o these_o be_v call_v fool_n in_o scripture_n who_o be_v so_o in_o the_o wicked_n estimation_n according_a to_o this_o the_o apostle_n say_v 10._o we_o be_v fool_n for_o christ_n sake_n but_o you_o be_v wise_a we_o be_v fool_n that_o be_v we_o be_v so_o esteem_v to_o be_v by_o the_o worldly_a wise_a after_o that_o a_o prophet_n of_o god_n have_v anoint_v jehu_n to_o be_v king_n one_o say_v to_o jehu_n wherefore_o come_v this_o mad_a fellow_n to_o thou_o 24._o godliness_n to_o wicked_a man_n be_v not_o only_a foolishness_n but_o madness_n the_o great_a knowledge_n of_o letter_n have_v make_v thou_o mad_a say_v festus_n to_o paul_n what_o wonder_n see_v the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n himlsefe_n be_v esteem_v folly_n note_n in_o scripture_n you_o read_v of_o the_o folly_n disciple_n go_v to_o emans_n fool_n 2_o and_o slow_a of_o heart_n to_o believe_v for_o the_o three_o it_o be_v say_v that_o the_o forlorn_a son_n be_v mad_a or_o by_o himself_o 17._o because_o when_o he_o repent_v it_o be_v say_v that_o he_o come_v to_o himself_o again_o 18._o four_o the_o wicked_a to_o who_o the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n be_v folly_n be_v call_v fool_n note_n according_a to_o this_o the_o rich_a man_n in_o the_o gospel_n that_o make_v great_a provision_n for_o his_o belly_n in_o his_o barn_n than_o for_o his_o soul_n in_o the_o heaven_n be_v call_v a_o fool_n o_o foul_a this_o night_n thy_o soul_n shall_v be_v take_v from_o thou_o 20._o this_o be_v his_o folly_n he_o never_o think_v of_o heaven_n till_o he_o be_v in_o hell_n it_o be_v of_o these_o two_o viz._n of_o the_o godly_a sin_v by_o weakness_n &_o of_o the_o wicked_a sin_v by_o wickedness_n that_o mention_n be_v make_v here_o while_o they_o sin_v they_o be_v both_o fool_n and_o as_o they_o be_v both_o but_o fool_n and_o as_o they_o be_v so_o here_o be_v they_o call_v viz._n fool_n the_o hebrew_n word_n here_o be_v guilim_n a_o word_n that_o come_v from_o a_o root_n that_o be_v not_o in_o use_n have_v no_o signification_n which_o be_v the_o life_n of_o a_o word_n a_o root_n worthy_a of_o such_o branch_n the_o root_n be_v not_o in_o use_n neither_o be_v the_o branch_n wherefore_o serve_v the_o root_n of_o folly_n what_o be_v the_o fruit_n of_o folly_n they_o be_v like_o the_o apple_n of_o sodom_n they_o may_v have_v some_o show_v outward_o but_o have_v nothing_o but_o rottenness_n for_o the_o in-meate_n he_o that_o taste_v they_o will_v do_v best_a to_o spit_v they_o out_o again_o 4._o as_o the_o wicked_a will_v taste_v the_o good_a gift_n of_o god_n and_o after_o spit_v it_o out_o
