spiritual_a good_a and_o salvation_n he_o be_v so_o far_o tenacious_a of_o they_o as_o he_o apprehend_v their_o tendency_n to_o be_v to_o promote_v that_o but_o he_o be_v moderate_a in_o matter_n of_o opinion_n reconcileable_a to_o truth_n consistent_a with_o holiness_n and_o charity_n he_o contend_v not_o for_o or_o against_o these_o thing_n but_o with_o modesty_n and_o sobriety_n 3._o in_o matter_n of_o duty_n and_o practice_n such_o as_o respect_n god_n and_o man_n these_o stand_n in_o a_o different_a degree_n and_o according_a to_o their_o place_n in_o god_n commandment_n a_o moderate_a man_n do_v intend_v or_o remit_v rise_v or_o fall_v and_o all_o these_o thing_n may_v be_v matter_n of_o debate_n and_o controversy_n and_o in_o the_o controversy_n he_o make_v a_o difference_n of_o 1._o thing_n 2._o person_n and_o govern_v himself_o according_a to_o the_o rule_n of_o god_n word_n right_a reason_n and_o prudence_n 2._o his_o head_n hang_v not_o loose_a but_o his_o heart_n and_o will_n be_v become_v conformable_a to_o his_o mind_n and_o so_o his_o heart_n and_o will_n be_v make_v better_a by_o the_o goodness_n of_o his_o mind_n his_o mind_n be_v enlighten_v and_o a_o judgement_n pass_v upon_o conviction_n of_o good_a and_o evil_a so_o he_o nill_v the_o evil_a and_o will_v the_o good_n he_o understand_v and_o know_v what_o god_n declare_v and_o pronounce_v he_o judge_v in_o himself_o according_a as_o god_n pronounce_v and_o will_v and_o nill_v according_a to_o his_o judgement_n and_o be_v obedient_a to_o his_o judgement_n he_o be_v a_o conscientious_a man._n and_o hence_o another_o true_a part_n of_o the_o character_n of_o a_o moderate_a man_n appear_v a_o moderate_a man_n be_v a_o true-hearted_a honest_a sincere_a conscientious_a man_n and_o therefore_o come_v into_o the_o rank_n of_o the_o best_a of_o men._n 3._o and_o by_o consequence_n his_o affection_n be_v the_o most_o orderly_a and_o regular_a he_o love_v that_o which_o he_o can_v soon_o restrain_v they_o and_o recall_v himself_o and_o if_o his_o affection_n be_v incline_v or_o hang_v by_o a_o partiality_n it_o be_v towards_o real_a good_a man_n and_o for_o that_o which_o appear_v in_o they_o which_o be_v most_o worthy_a of_o our_o strong_a love_n namely_o god_n and_o godliness_n and_o he_o be_v not_o inexcusable_a himself_o who_o be_v apt_a to_o excuse_v they_o who_o he_o hope_v god_n will_v pardon_v yet_o still_o his_o judgement_n be_v not_o pervert_v from_o a_o right_a judgement_n of_o sin_n and_o infirmity_n a_o moderate_a man_n be_v subject_a to_o temptation_n and_o danger_n of_o the_o world_n and_o his_o own_o judgement_n and_o experience_n weigh_v with_o he_o he_o grow_v as_o his_o faith_n and_o love_n to_o god_n and_o heaven_n grow_v most_o indifferent_a cool_a and_o slack_a or_o in_o one_o word_n moderate_a towards_o the_o thing_n that_o be_v in_o the_o world_n 1._o he_o grow_v moderate_a in_o his_o desire_n and_o pursuit_n look_v most_o to_o his_o duty_n and_o the_o right_a use_n of_o the_o thing_n of_o this_o world_n 2._o moderate_a in_o use_v and_o enjoy_v they_o 3._o moderate_a in_o bear_v the_o cross_n disappointment_n and_o loss_n of_o they_o and_o hence_o he_o commend_v himself_o to_o
