impute_v those_o sin_n of_o ignorance_n unto_o they_o but_o bury_v they_o in_o christ_n death_n and_o obedience_n so_o that_o now_o they_o will_v embrace_v he_o as_o their_o saviour_n by_o a_o lively_a faith_n and_o bring_v forth_o the_o fruit_n hereof_o in_o unfeigned_a repentance_n forsake_v their_o former_a ignorance_n and_o the_o sinful_a fruit_n thereof_o and_o labour_v after_o knowledge_n and_o holy_a obedience_n the_o other_o kind_n of_o ignorance_n which_o be_v affect_v and_o voluntary_a when_o as_o man_n continue_v ignorant_a because_o they_o neglect_v and_o contemn_v the_o mean_n of_o knowledge_n offer_v unto_o they_o be_v so_o far_o from_o excuse_v other_o sin_n that_o it_o do_v much_o aggravate_v they_o as_o be_v itself_o in_o a_o desperate_a degree_n of_o sin_n and_o also_o the_o cause_n of_o much_o other_o wickedness_n for_o therefore_o they_o refuse_v to_o know_v their_o master_n will_n because_o 3._o psal_n 36._o 3._o they_o be_v desperate_o resolve_v not_o to_o obey_v it_o and_o will_v not_o understand_v because_o they_o will_v not_o be_v hinder_v in_o their_o course_n of_o wickedness_n of_o such_o the_o psalmist_n speak_v psal_n 36._o 3._o he_o have_v leave_v off_o to_o understand_v and_o to_o do_v good_a or_o lest_o he_o shall_v do_v good_a and_o as_o this_o do_v aggravate_v man_n sin_n so_o also_o it_o do_v increase_v their_o punishment_n gospel_n can_v be_v necessary_a but_o voluntary_a and_o wilful_a because_o we_o neglect_v or_o despise_v the_o mean_n of_o knowledge_n and_o therefore_o this_o ignorance_n will_v not_o excuse_v we_o but_o rather_o aggravate_v both_o our_o sin_n and_o punishment_n last_o we_o here_o learn_v that_o when_o the_o lord_n have_v use_v conversion_n god_n give_v over_o those_o who_o despise_v the_o mean_n of_o their_o conversion_n all_o mean_n both_o by_o his_o word_n and_o work_n his_o benefit_n chastisement_n and_o more_o gentle_a punishment_n to_o bring_v a_o people_n to_o knowledge_n faith_n and_o repentance_n and_o they_o nevertheless_o neglect_v and_o contemn_v these_o mean_n do_v continue_v in_o wilful_a ignorance_n gross_a infidelity_n and_o secure_a impenitency_n then_o the_o lord_n will_v give_v they_o over_o to_o their_o own_o wicked_a course_n and_o suffer_v they_o to_o fall_v headlong_o both_o into_o the_o evil_n of_o sin_n and_o the_o evil_n of_o punishment_n for_o example_n he_o will_v give_v they_o over_o to_o the_o blindness_n of_o their_o mind_n to_o run_v on_o in_o error_n heresy_n superstition_n and_o idolatry_n to_o the_o perverseness_n of_o their_o will_n to_o refuse_v the_o good_a and_o choose_v the_o evil_a to_o their_o own_o vile_a affection_n to_o commit_v such_o abominable_a wickedness_n as_o nature_n itself_o though_o much_o corrupt_v abhor_v and_o detest_v and_o even_o to_o a_o reprobate_a sense_n that_o they_o may_v heap_v sin_n upon_o sin_n and_o treasure_n up_o against_o themselves_o wrath_n against_o the_o day_n of_o wrath_n and_o when_o he_o have_v often_o assay_v fatherly_a correction_n and_o light_a affliction_n to_o amend_v they_o and_o they_o will_v not_o be_v reform_v he_o will_v cause_v they_o to_o be_v overtake_v by_o his_o fearful_a plague_n and_o heavy_a judgement_n and_o in_o the_o end_n plunge_v they_o into_o the_o gulf_n of_o destruction_n and_o eternal_a condemnation_n a_o example_n hereof_o we_o have_v in_o this_o place_n for_o when_o the_o israelit_n will_v not_o understand_v nor_o be_v reform_v neither_o by_o god_n word_n nor_o work_n his_o mercy_n nor_o judgement_n the_o lord_n cause_v they_o to_o fall_v and_o to_o be_v overwhelmed_n with_o most_o fearful_a punishment_n when_o the_o gentile_n will_v not_o serve_v god_n according_a to_o that_o light_n of_o nature_n which_o he_o have_v give_v unto_o they_o keep_v a_o constant_a course_n in_o godliness_n and_o make_v the_o path_n of_o righteousness_n and_o holiness_n their_o ordinary_a way_n all_o their_o particular_a good_a work_n which_o be_v but_o as_o it_o be_v so_o many_o step_n aside_o out_o of_o their_o constant_a course_n of_o sin_v will_v little_o profit_v they_o in_o the_o day_n of_o god_n visitation_n because_o they_o shall_v be_v judge_v not_o according_a to_o their_o extravagant_a good_a deed_n but_o according_a to_o their_o way_n and_o ordinary_a conversation_n
