in_o the_o general_n in_o show_v how_o the_o duty_n of_o god_n worship_n be_v as_o a_o channel_n for_o the_o conveyance_n of_o special_a good_a to_o the_o saint_n but_o none_o more_o than_o the_o wordâ—_n that_o be_v the_o ordinance_n to_o convey_v the_o first_o grace_n to_o those_o that_o belong_v to_o god_n election_n the_o sacrament_n be_v for_o strengthen_v and_o therefore_o there_o be_v rather_o more_o in_o the_o word_n than_o in_o the_o sacrament_n and_o yet_o every_o one_o think_v in_o conscience_n that_o he_o be_v bind_v to_o come_v careful_o to_o the_o sacrament_n and_o to_o look_v to_o sanctify_v god_n name_n there_o it_o be_v a_o easy_a matter_n to_o convince_v man_n and_o woman_n that_o they_o be_v bind_v to_o sanctify_v the_o name_n of_o god_n when_o they_o come_v to_o receive_v the_o holy_a communion_n than_o for_o the_o hear_n of_o the_o word_n they_o think_v not_o so_o much_o of_o that_o but_o certain_o the_o word_n be_v appoint_v to_o be_v a_o ordinance_n of_o convey_v more_o blessing_n than_o the_o sacrament_n because_o it_o be_v appoint_v to_o convey_v the_o first_o grace_n and_o to_o convey_v strength_n of_o grace_n as_o well_o as_o the_o sacrament_n now_o be_v appoint_v to_o convey_v such_o great_a thing_n to_o the_o soul_n of_o the_o elect_a both_o the_o first_o grace_n and_o strengthen_n of_o grace_n and_o comfort_n and_o assistance_n thereof_o the_o lord_n expect_v to_o have_v his_o name_n sanctify_v in_o it_o 3_o three_o the_o name_n of_o god_n must_v be_v sanctify_v in_o the_o word_n because_o the_o word_n be_v now_o god_n do_v forbear_v in_o the_o time_n of_o ignorance_n but_o he_o will_v not_o forbear_v so_o when_o the_o word_n come_v now_o be_v the_o axe_n lay_v to_o the_o root_n of_o the_o tree_n and_o when_o be_v that_o when_o john_n baptist_n come_v to_o preach_v repentance_n because_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n be_v at_o hand_n though_o the_o tree_n be_v barren_a before_o and_o do_v not_o bring_v forth_o good_a fruit_n yet_o it_o may_v stand_v still_o and_o not_o be_v cut_v down_o but_o when_o the_o powerful_a ministration_n of_o the_o word_n come_v than_o the_o axe_n be_v lay_v to_o the_o root_n of_o the_o tree_n either_o now_o come_v in_o and_o be_v save_v or_o resist_v the_o word_n and_o perish_v and_o therefore_o that_o be_v very_o observable_a when_o christ_n send_v out_o his_o discple_n to_o preach_v in_o mark_n 16.15_o 16._o say_v he_o go_v you_o into_o all_o the_o world_n and_o preach_v the_o gospel_n to_o every_o creature_n and_o he_o that_o believe_v and_o be_v of_o god_n hear_v my_o word_n you_o therefore_o hear_v they_o not_o because_o you_o be_v not_o of_o god_n certain_o he_o that_o have_v the_o knowledge_n of_o god_n and_o any_o interest_n in_o god_n a_o mere_a matter_n of_o indifferency_n in_o a_o mere_a formal_a and_o customary_a way_n or_o for_o company_n sake_n or_o to_o give_v content_a to_o other_o these_o be_v poor_a and_o low_a end_n thou_o shall_v come_v to_o hear_v the_o word_n as_o expect_v god_n shall_v speak_v to_o thy_o soul_n for_o the_o furtherance_n of_o thy_o eternal_a good_a but_o your_o conscience_n may_v tell_v you_o what_o vain_a and_o wander_a heart_n you_o have_v when_o you_o come_v to_o hear_v it_o the_o eye_n of_o the_o fool_n say_v solomon_n be_v in_o all_o the_o corner_n of_o the_o earth_n up_o and_o down_o scripture_n in_o heb._n 12.25_o for_o such_o man_n as_o shift_v off_o god_n word_n when_o it_o come_v many_o time_n very_o near_o to_o they_o see_v that_o you_o refuse_v not_o he_o that_o speak_v for_o if_o they_o escape_v not_o who_o refuse_v he_o that_o speak_v on_o earth_n much_o more_o shall_v not_o we_o escape_v if_o we_o turn_v away_o from_o he_o which_o speak_v from_o heaven_n see_v that_o you_o refuse_v not_o he_o that_o speak_v the_o word_n see_v that_o you_o do_v not_o put_v he_o off_o and_o that_o that_o be_v the_o signification_n of_o it_o if_o you_o compare_v it_o with_o luke_n 12.18_o you_o shall_v find_v that_o there_o be_v the_o same_o word_n use_v where_o speak_v of_o those_o that_o be_v invite_v to_o the_o supper_n it_o be_v say_v they_o all_o with_o one_o consent_n begin_v to_o make_v excuse_n they_o begin_v to_o shift_v it_o off_o that_o be_v the_o same_o word_n oh_o
and_o gomorah_n in_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n than_o for_o that_o city_n it_o be_v a_o most_o dreadful_a scripture_n their_o very_a dust_n must_v be_v shake_v off_o in_o token_n of_o indignation_n and_o it_o shall_v be_v more_o easy_a for_o the_o land_n of_o sodom_n and_o gomorah_n in_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n than_o for_o that_o place_n you_o will_v be_v very_o loath_a to_o be_v in_o a_o worse_a condition_n than_o sodom_n and_o gomorah_n that_o be_v consume_v by_o fire_n from_o heaven_n and_o now_o suffer_v the_o vengeance_n of_o eternal_a fire_n judas_n 7._o certain_o they_o shall_v not_o be_v so_o deep_a in_o judgement_n as_o those_o that_o live_v under_o the_o ministry_n of_o the_o word_n and_o sanctify_v not_o the_o name_n of_o god_n in_o it_o your_o sin_n be_v of_o a_o deep_a be_v it_o be_v true_a we_o can_v give_v any_o certain_a sign_n of_o reprobation_n therefore_o i_o can_v say_v of_o any_o man_n he_o have_v now_o such_o a_o mark_n upon_o he_o as_o do_v evident_o prove_v that_o he_o be_v a_o reprobate_n we_o can_v tell_v that_o because_o we_o know_v not_o what_o god_n may_v do_v afterward_o but_o we_o may_v say_v this_o that_o it_o be_v as_o dreadful_a a_o
