this_o present_a parliament_n assemble_v and_o by_o the_o authority_n of_o the_o same_o that_o the_o justice_n of_o the_o court_n of_o king_n bench_n and_o common_a plea_n etc._n justice_n appoint_v to_o hear_v and_o determine_v difference_n between_o landlord_n and_o tenant_n etc._n etc._n and_o the_o baron_n of_o the_o coif_n of_o the_o exchequer_n for_o the_o time_n be_v or_o any_o three_o or_o more_o of_o they_o sitting_z at_o the_o same_o time_n and_o place_n and_o not_o otherwise_o shall_v be_v and_o be_v hereby_o authorize_v from_o time_n to_o time_n to_o hear_v and_o to_o ground_n and_o wharf_n or_o any_o other_o ground_n lie_v within_o that_o part_n of_o the_o city_n and_o suburb_n thereof_o late_o burn_v pull_v down_o or_o otherwise_o demolish_v deface_v or_o otherwise_o ruin_v by_o reason_n of_o the_o say_a fire_n or_o for_o or_o concern_v the_o payment_n defalcation_n apportion_v or_o abatement_n of_o any_o rent_n or_o rent_n other_o than_o arrear_n of_o rent_n only_o due_a before_o the_o first_o day_n of_o september_n one_o thousand_o six_o hundred_o sixty_o and_o six_o or_o for_o or_o touch_v any_o covenant_n condition_n or_o penalty_n relate_v thereunto_o or_o for_o touch_v or_o concern_v the_o prefix_v or_o limit_v of_o any_o time_n for_o such_o repair_v or_o new_a building_n rebuilding_n or_o any_o rate_n or_o contribution_n to_o be_v bear_v or_o pay_v thereunto_o by_o any_o person_n or_o person_n body_n politic_a or_o corporate_a interest_v in_o the_o premise_n and_o all_o incident_n relate_v thereunto_o and_o that_o they_o or_o any_o three_o or_o more_o of_o they_o from_o time_n to_o time_n with_o or_o without_o any_o adjournment_n summary_o and_o sine_fw-la forma_fw-la &_o figura_fw-la judicii_fw-la and_o without_o the_o formality_n of_o proceed_n in_o court_n of_o law_n or_o equity_n shall_v and_o may_v upon_o the_o verdict_n or_o inquisition_n of_o juror_n testimony_n of_o witness_n upon_o oath_n examination_n of_o party_n interest_v or_o by_o all_o or_o any_o of_o the_o say_a way_n or_o otherwise_o according_a to_o their_o discretion_n procee_v to_o the_o hear_n and_o determine_v of_o the_o demand_n or_o difference_n between_o the_o say_a party_n concern_v the_o premise_n and_o that_o the_o definitive_a order_n of_o the_o say_a justice_n and_o baron_n or_o any_o three_o or_o more_o of_o they_o as_o aforesaid_a shall_v be_v final_a as_o between_o the_o say_a party_n their_o heir_n executor_n administrator_n successor_n and_o assign_v and_o all_o claim_n by_o from_z or_o under_o they_o as_o think_v it_o convenient_a to_o order_n the_o surrender_v increase_v abridge_n cease_v determine_v or_o charge_v of_o any_o estate_n in_o the_o premise_n or_o to_o order_v new_a or_o long_a lease_n or_o estate_n not_o exceed_a forty_o year_n to_o be_v make_v of_o any_o of_o the_o premise_n by_o the_o proprietor_n or_o owner_n thereof_o or_o other_o person_n interest_v therein_o to_o any_o tenant_n or_o sub-tenant_n or_o late_a occupier_n of_o the_o same_o their_o executor_n administrator_n successor_n or_o assign_v at_o such_o rent_n and_o fines_n or_o without_o any_o rent_n or_o fine_a as_o they_o shall_v think_v fit_a unless_o in_o such_o case_n where_o the_o law_n of_o this_o realm_n do_v forbid_v the_o diminish_n of_o ancient_a and_o accustomable_a rent_n all_o which_o order_n according_a to_o the_o tenor_n thereof_o shall_v be_v obey_v by_o all_o person_n concern_v therein_o respective_o and_o shall_v conclude_v and_o bind_v they_o their_o heir_n successor_n executor_n administrator_n and_o assign_v respective_o notwithstanding_o any_o disability_n in_o respect_n of_o coverture_n infancy_n nonsanity_n of_o memory_n estate_n tail_n or_o in_o right_n of_o the_o church_n or_o otherwise_o and_o that_o infant_n feme_v covert_a idiot_n person_n of_o non-sane_a memory_n or_o beyond_o the_o sea_n tenant_n in_o tail_n bishop_n dean_n and_o chapter_n and_o other_o ecclesiastical_a person_n and_o their_o successor_n corporation_n and_o all_o other_o person_n or_o person_n body_n natural_a and_o politic_a their_o heir_n and_o successor_n and_o their_o respective_a interest_n shall_v be_v bind_v and_o conclude_v by_o such_o respective_a order_n or_o order_n according_a to_o the_o tenor_n or_o purport_n thereof_o any_o law_n statute_n or_o custom_n or_o other_o matter_n or_o thing_n to_o the_o contrary_a notwithstanding_o and_o for_o the_o better_a enable_v the_o say_a justice_n and_o baron_n to_o procee_v with_o effect_n in_o the_o say_a cause_n complaint_n how_o to_o proceed_v upon_o complaint_n be_v it_o also_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o the_o say_a justice_n and_o baron_n or_o any_o three_o or_o more_o of_o they_o as_o aforesaid_a upon_o the_o complaint_n or_o request_n of_o any_o person_n or_o person_n concern_v in_o any_o of_o the_o say_a house_n or_o building_n and_o other_o the_o premise_n shall_v issue_v out_o note_n or_o warrant_n under_o their_o hand_n or_o the_o hand_n of_o any_o such_o three_o of_o they_o thereby_o warn_v the_o person_n or_o person_n body_n politic_a and_o corporate_a therein_o name_v and_o concern_v in_o the_o say_v late_a house_n or_o building_n and_o other_o the_o premise_n in_o such_o complaint_n mention_v to_o appear_v before_o they_o at_o such_o time_n and_o of_o subpoena_n shall_v be_v account_v to_o be_v a_o good_a service_n in_o the_o case_n aforesaid_a record_n the_o say_a indicature_n shall_v be_v a_o court_n of_o record_n and_o be_v it_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o the_o say_a justice_n and_o baron_n or_o any_o three_o of_o they_o for_o the_o matter_n and_o according_a to_o the_o power_n herein_o before_o mention_v shall_v be_v and_o shall_v be_v take_v to_o be_v a_o court_n of_o record_n and_o that_o the_o judgement_n and_o determination_n that_o shall_v be_v make_v betwixt_o party_n and_o party_n by_o authority_n of_o this_o act_n shall_v be_v record_v in_o a_o book_n or_o book_n of_o parchment_n to_o be_v provide_v for_o that_o purpose_n and_o that_o every_o such_o judgement_n and_o determination_n shall_v be_v sign_v by_o three_o or_o more_o of_o the_o say_a justice_n or_o baron_n which_o say_v book_n or_o book_n of_o record_n shall_v be_v place_v and_o entrust_v in_o the_o custody_n of_o the_o lord_n mayor_n and_o alderman_n of_o the_o city_n of_o london_n for_o the_o time_n be_v to_o be_v keep_v with_o the_o record_n of_o the_o say_a city_n and_o to_o remain_v as_o a_o perpetual_a stand_a record_n unto_o which_o all_o person_n concern_v or_o which_o shall_v be_v concern_v
be_v lawful_a for_o the_o say_a commissioner_n for_o the_o time_n be_v or_o any_o seven_o or_o more_o of_o they_o from_o time_n to_o time_n and_o at_o all_o time_n to_o assess_v tax_n or_o sum_n of_o money_n upon_o the_o say_v ninety_o five_o thousand_o acre_n for_o the_o raise_n money_n for_o draining_n the_o same_o again_o in_o such_o proportion_n as_o they_o or_o any_o seven_o or_o more_o of_o they_o shall_v think_v fit_a together_o with_o a_o penalty_n for_o not_o pay_v the_o say_a tax_n the_o say_a penalty_n not_o exceed_a a_o three_o part_n of_o such_o tax_n penalty_n how_o land_n may_v be_v sell_v for_o nonpayment_n of_o tax_n or_o penalty_n and_o for_o default_n of_o payment_n of_o the_o say_a tax_n or_o sum_n of_o money_n and_o penalty_n be_v it_o enact_v that_o the_o lot_n and_o share_v of_o such_o participant_a or_o adventurer_n of_o and_o within_o the_o say_v ninety_o five_o thousand_o acre_n as_o shall_v be_v in_o arrear_n for_o the_o say_a tax_n sum_n of_o money_n or_o penalty_n and_o unpaid_a by_o the_o space_n of_o two_o month_n next_o after_o the_o day_n appoint_v for_o payment_n by_o the_o say_a commissioner_n or_o any_o seven_o or_o more_o of_o they_o or_o so_o much_o thereof_o as_o they_o shall_v think_v fit_a shall_v be_v sequester_v by_o the_o say_a commissioner_n or_o any_o seven_o or_o more_o of_o they_o for_o or_o towards_o the_o payment_n of_o such_o tax_n sum_n of_o money_n or_o penalty_n so_o in_o arrear_n restore_v the_o overplus_n of_o the_o money_n for_o which_o such_o lot_n or_o share_v or_o any_o part_n thereof_o shall_v be_v sequester_v if_o any_o be_v which_o sequestration_n shall_v be_v make_v in_o write_v under_o the_o hand_n and_o seal_n of_o the_o say_a commissioner_n for_o the_o time_n be_v or_o any_o seven_o or_o more_o of_o they_o provide_v always_o and_o be_v it_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o in_o case_n the_o say_a governor_n bailiff_n and_o corporation_n constitute_v by_o this_o act_n shall_v neglect_v or_o refuse_v to_o pay_v such_o tax_n or_o tax_n and_o penalty_n sum_n or_o sum_n of_o money_n as_o shall_v from_o time_n to_o time_n hereafter_o be_v tax_v and_o impose_v by_o the_o say_a commissioner_n before_o name_v or_o to_o be_v name_v by_o virtue_n of_o this_o act_n or_o any_o seven_o or_o more_o of_o they_o pursuant_n to_o the_o power_n give_v they_o by_o this_o act_n whereupon_o the_o good_n and_o chattel_n of_o any_o person_n or_o person_n his_o or_o their_o tenant_n or_o tenant_n of_o and_o in_o the_o say_v ninety_o five_o thousand_o acre_n or_o any_o part_n thereof_o shall_v be_v distrain_v or_o sell_v or_o he_o or_o their_o land_n sequester_v for_o the_o payment_n thereof_o or_o that_o such_o person_n or_o person_n his_o or_o their_o tenant_n or_o tenant_n shall_v thereupon_o pay_v the_o say_a tax_n and_o tax_n and_o penalty_n so_o assess_v and_o impose_v as_o aforesaid_a that_o then_o the_o say_a governor_n bailiff_n and_o corporation_n immediate_o from_o and_o after_o notice_n to_o he_o or_o they_o give_v thereof_o shall_v assess_v and_o tax_v the_o whole_a ninety_o five_o thousand_o acre_n for_o the_o satisfaction_n and_o payment_n say_a governor_n bailiff_n and_o corporation_n for_o the_o recovery_n thereof_o and_o by_o virtue_n of_o this_o act_n shall_v recover_v the_o same_o and_o be_v allow_v cost_v of_o suit_n expend_v therein_o and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o the_o commissioner_n so_o constitute_v or_o to_o be_v hereafter_o constitute_v as_o aforesaid_a or_o any_o seven_o or_o more_o of_o they_o for_o the_o better_a execution_n of_o the_o power_n hereby_o give_v shall_v &_o may_v inform_v themselves_o by_o examine_v witness_n upon_o oath_n which_o hereby_o they_o or_o any_o seven_o or_o more_o of_o they_o shall_v have_v power_n to_o administer_v due_a execution_n of_o all_o every_o or_o any_o the_o power_n or_o authority_n hereby_o give_v they_o &_o for_o the_o do_v justice_n therein_o according_o oath_n the_o commissioner_n to_o take_v a_o oath_n provide_v always_o that_o the_o say_a commissioner_n and_o every_o of_o they_o before_o he_o or_o they_o take_v upon_o he_o or_o they_o the_o execution_n of_o any_o the_o power_n or_o authority_n hereby_o give_v they_o other_o than_o the_o administer_a the_o oath_n follow_v to_o one_o another_o which_o they_o authority_n establish_v by_o this_o act_n of_o parliament_n which_o oath_n any_o one_o of_o the_o say_a commissioner_n be_v hereby_o authorize_v to_o administer_v and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o all_o judgement_n order_n decree_n determination_n alteration_n change_n restauration_n and_o other_o act_n do_v by_o the_o say_a commissioner_n hereby_o of_o our_o lord_n one_o thousand_o six_o hundred_o sixty_o and_o three_o at_o ely_n and_o that_o afterward_o the_o usual_a place_n where_o the_o say_v commissioner_n shall_v sit_v to_o hear_v order_n sit_v the_o place_n where_o the_o commissioner_n shall_v sit_v and_o determine_v the_o matter_n to_o they_o refer_v by_o this_o act_n shall_v from_o the_o 29_o of_o september_n to_o the_o 26_o day_n of_o march_n in_o every_o year_n be_v at_o the_o town_n of_o huntingdon_n and_o from_o the_o 25_o day_n of_o march_n till_o the_o 30_o day_n of_o september_n in_o every_o year_n be_v at_o ely_n unless_o the_o say_a commissioner_n hereby_o constitute_v or_o hereafter_o to_o be_v constitute_v as_o aforesaid_a or_o any_o seven_o or_o more_o of_o they_o shall_v appoint_v some_o other_o place_n or_o place_n be_v a_o market_n town_n or_o town_n and_o the_o say_a commissioner_n or_o any_o seven_o or_o more_o of_o they_o shall_v by_o warrant_n under_o their_o hand_n and_o seal_n declare_v the_o place_n and_o time_n of_o their_o after-méeting_n which_o warrant_n shall_v be_v publish_v in_o the_o open_a market_n of_o such_o respective_a place_n where_o they_o last_o sit_v between_o the_o hour_n of_o twelve_o &_o two_o upon_o some_o market_n day_n one_o month_n at_o the_o least_o before_o the_o say_a time_n or_o time_n of_o meeting_n to_o the_o end_n all_o person_n concern_v may_v the_o great_a seal_n of_o england_n or_o any_o five_o of_o they_o shall_v have_v full_a power_n and_o authority_n to_o receive_v all_o subscription_n and_o payment_n of_o voluntary_a contribution_n of_o money_n or_o other_o endowment_n towards_o the_o amendment_n and_o enlargement_n of_o the_o street_n and_o place_n beforenamed_n or_o so_o much_o of_o they_o or_o any_o of_o they_o as_o the_o say_a commissioner_n or_o any_o five_o or_o more_o of_o they_o shall_v judge_v fit_a and_o necessary_a and_o be_v hereby_o further_o empower_v to_o treat_v and_o agree_v with_o the_o owner_n and_o return_v a_o jury_n before_o the_o say_a commissioner_n or_o any_o five_o of_o they_o which_o jury_n upon_o their_o oath_n to_o be_v administer_v by_o the_o say_a commissioner_n be_v to_o inquire_v and_o assess_v such_o damage_n and_o recompense_v as_o they_o shall_v judge_v fit_a to_o be_v award_v to_o the_o owner_n and_o occupier_n or_o either_o of_o they_o of_o any_o such_o house_n or_o any_o part_n thereof_o for_o their_o respective_a estate_n and_o interest_n in_o the_o same_o as_o by_o the_o say_a commissioner_n shall_v be_v adjudge_v fit_a to_o be_v pull_v down_o for_o the_o purpose_n aforesaid_a and_o such_o verdict_n of_o the_o jury_n and_o judgement_n of_o the_o say_a commissioner_n thereupon_o and_o the_o legal_a payment_n or_o tender_a of_o the_o sum_n or_o sum_n of_o money_n so_o award_v and_o adjudge_v shall_v be_v bind_v to_o all_o intent_n and_o purpose_n against_o the_o say_a party_n their_o heir_n executor_n administrator_n and_o assign_v and_o other_o claim_v any_o title_n or_o interest_n in_o the_o say_a house_n or_o in_o the_o ground_n whereupon_o they_o stand_v or_o thereunto_o belong_v and_o shall_v be_v a_o full_a authority_n for_o the_o say_a commissioner_n or_o any_o five_o of_o they_o to_o cause_v the_o same_o to_o be_v execute_v and_o the_o say_a house_n according_o to_o be_v remove_v and_o pull_v down_o and_o whereas_o the_o house_n that_o shall_v remain_v stand_v on_o the_o other_o side_n the_o say_a street_n or_o stréets_n or_o behind_o the_o say_a house_n that_o shall_v be_v so_o pull_v down_o as_o aforesaid_a will_v receive_v much_o advantage_n in_o the_o value_n of_o their_o rent_n by_o the_o liberty_n of_o air_n and_o free_a recourse_n for_o trade_n and_o other_o conveniency_n by_o such_o enlargement_n it_o be_v also_o enact_v by_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o in_o case_n of_o refusal_n or_o in_o capacity_n commissioner_n what_o may_v be_v do_v in_o case_n of_o refusal_n to_o compound_v with_o the_o commissioner_n as_o aforesaid_a of_o the_o owner_n or_o occupier_n of_o the_o say_a house_n to_o agree_v and_o compound_v with_o the_o commissioner_n for_o the_o same_o thereupon_o a_o jury_n shall_v and_o may_v be_v impanel_v in_o manner_n and_o form_n aforesaid_a to_o judge_n and_o assess_v upon_o the_o owner_n and_o occupier_n of_o such_o house_n such_o competent_a sum_n or_o sum_n of_o money_n or_o annual_a rent_n in_o consideration_n of_o such_o improvement_n and_o melioration_n as_o in_o reason_n and_o good_a conscience_n they_o shall_v judge_n and_o think_v fit_a which_o say_v sum_n and_o sum_n of_o money_n or_o rent_n shall_v be_v pay_v to_o the_o chamberlain_n of_o the_o city_n of_o london_n for_o the_o time_n be_v and_o such_o other_o treasurer_n or_o treasurer_n as_o shall_v be_v appoint_v by_o the_o say_a commissioner_n or_o any_o five_o or_o more_o of_o they_o who_o be_v hereby_o enable_v from_o time_n to_o time_n to_o receive_v and_o recover_v the_o same_o by_o action_n at_o law_n and_o who_o receipt_n shall_v be_v a_o good_a discharge_n to_o the_o say_a owner_n and_o tenant_n and_o who_o be_v hereby_o appoint_v to_o receive_v and_o pay_v and_o be_v accountable_a for_o the_o same_o according_a to_o such_o direction_n as_o shall_v from_o time_n to_o time_n be_v give_v they_o by_o the_o say_a commissioner_n and_o the_o money_n so_o raise_v or_o rent_n so_o receive_v shall_v be_v expend_v upon_o the_o purchase_n or_o re-building_n house_n on_o the_o other_o side_n the_o street_n and_o upon_o pave_v and_o amend_v of_o the_o way_n and_o street_n aforesaid_a according_a to_o the_o purport_n of_o this_o act._n and_o the_o say_a verdict_n of_o the_o jury_n and_o judgement_n of_o the_o commissioner_n in_o the_o case_n aforesaid_a shall_v be_v sufficient_a and_o conclusive_a in_o law_n to_o all_o intent_n and_o purpose_n against_o the_o say_a owner_n and_o occupier_n their_o heir_n executor_n administrator_n and_o assign_v act._n every_o commissioner_n to_o take_v a_o oath_n for_o the_o faithful_a performance_n of_o this_o act._n provide_v always_o and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o no_o person_n shall_v be_v enable_v to_o act_v as_o a_o commissioner_n to_o the_o intent_n and_o purpose_n aforesaid_a until_o he_o shall_v first_o have_v take_v his_o corporal_a oath_n before_o the_o lord_n chancellor_n or_o lord_n high_a treasurer_n of_o england_n for_o the_o time_n be_v for_o the_o due_a and_o impartial_a execution_n of_o the_o trust_n by_o this_o act_n commit_v to_o he_o act._n lord_n mayor_n and_o alderman_n to_o be_v commissioner_n in_o london_n the_o dean_n high_a steward_n deputy-steward_n and_o two_o high_a burgess_n in_o westm_n the_o continuance_n of_o this_o act._n provide_v also_o that_o the_o lord_n mayor_n recorder_n and_o alderman_n of_o the_o city_n of_o london_n for_o the_o time_n be_v shall_v be_v and_o be_v hereby_o authorize_v to_o be_v joynt-commissioner_n and_o to_o exercise_v all_o the_o power_n of_o this_o act_n to_o all_o the_o end_n and_o purpose_n thereof_o which_o be_v to_o be_v order_v do_v or_o execute_v within_o the_o say_a city_n or_o the_o liberty_n thereof_o and_o likewise_o that_o the_o dean_n of_o westminster_n the_o high_a steward_n and_o his_o deputy-steward_n and_o the_o two_o high_a burgess_n of_o the_o call_v or_o know_v by_o the_o name_n of_o the_o sessions-house_n or_o common_a hall_n in_o leeds_n aforesaid_a and_o also_o at_o such_o other_o time_n and_o place_n of_o the_o say_v west-riding_a as_o shall_v from_o time_n to_o time_n be_v appoint_v by_o the_o say_a justice_n master_n warden_n and_o assistant_n or_o any_o thirtéen_n of_o they_o upon_o eight_o day_n notice_n or_o warning_n to_o be_v give_v of_o such_o meeting_n and_o court_n to_o be_v hold_v and_o in_o case_n that_o the_o master_n warden_n and_o assistant_n or_o the_o major_a part_n of_o they_o shall_v refuse_v or_o neglect_v to_o appear_v so_o as_o a_o court_n can_v be_v hold_v according_o as_o be_v before_o direct_v that_o then_o such_o master_n warden_n or_o assistant_n so_o refuse_v or_o neglect_v shall_v forfeit_v the_o sum_n of_o twenty_o shilling_n the_o one_o moiety_n to_o the_o use_n of_o the_o poor_a of_o such_o respective_a town_n where_o the_o person_n so_o refuse_v or_o neglect_v shall_v live_v the_o other_o moiety_n to_o the_o use_n of_o the_o corporation_n and_o the_o say_a justice_n master_n warden_n and_o assistant_n or_o any_o thirtéen_n of_o they_o be_v hereby_o impower_v to_o summon_v to_o for_o not_o conform_v as_o aforesaid_a excee_v not_o the_o sum_n of_o twenty_o shilling_n for_o one_o offence_n the_o full_a moiety_n or_o one_o half_a of_o the_o say_a fine_n and_o penalty_n to_o go_v to_o the_o use_n of_o the_o say_a corporation_n and_o the_o other_o half_a or_o moiety_n to_o the_o use_n of_o the_o poor_a of_o the_o parish_n where_o such_o person_n so_o offend_v may_v be_v dwell_v and_o inhabit_v and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o the_o say_a justice_n master_n cloth_n power_n to_o appoint_v searcher_n of_o cloth_n warden_n and_o assistant_n or_o any_o thirtéen_n of_o they_o shall_v have_v power_n to_o nominate_v and_o choose_v searcher_n of_o cloth_n in_o the_o several_a place_n of_o the_o say_v west-riding_a who_o shall_v be_v swear_v before_o they_o or_o any_o thirtéen_n of_o they_o in_o manner_n aforesaid_a for_o the_o true_a search_n of_o cloth_n that_o it_o be_v of_o a_o due_a weight_n length_n and_o breadth_n according_a to_o the_o statute_n and_o in_o regard_n the_o nature_n of_o cloth_n be_v much_o change_v in_o these_o late_a year_n and_o that_o the_o new_a drapery_n be_v now_o most_o in_o use_n for_o which_o sort_n of_o cloth_n there_o be_v no_o certain_a standard_n for_o length_n weight_n use_n the_o new_a drapery_n most_o in_o use_n and_o breadth_n appoint_v by_o any_o statute_n be_v it_o therefore_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o the_o length_n weight_n and_o breadth_n of_o the_o say_v new_a drapery_n of_o broad_a woollen_a cloth_n make_v within_o the_o say_v west-riding_a be_v and_o shall_v be_v as_o be_v hereby_o limit_v and_o appoint_v viz_o that_o every_o cloth_n call_v by_o the_o name_n of_o a_o end_n or_o half_a cloth_n shall_v be_v betwixt_o fifteen_o yard_n and_o eighteen_o yard_n in_o length_n in_o the_o water_n and_o not_o to_o excee_v and_o one_o yard_n and_o a_o half_a in_o breadth_n at_o the_o least_o within_o the_o list_n and_o every_o cloth_n common_o call_v a_o short_a cloth_n between_o twenty_o four_o yard_n and_o twenty_o eight_o yard_n in_o length_n in_o the_o water_n and_o not_o to_o excee_v and_o one_o yard_n and_o a_o half_a in_o breadth_n at_o the_o least_o within_o the_o list_n and_o every_o long_a cloth_n so_o call_v betwixt_o thirty_o yard_n and_o thirty_o six_o yard_n in_o length_n in_o the_o water_n &_o not_o to_o excee_v &_o a_o yard_n and_o a_o half_a in_o breadth_n at_o the_o least_o within_o the_o list_n and_o that_o every_o yard_n of_o such_o cloth_n shall_v weigh_v respective_o two_o pound_n aforesaid_a that_o if_o any_o captain_n master_n mariner_z or_o other_o officer_n belong_v to_o any_o ship_n shall_v wilful_o cast_v away_o burn_v or_o otherwise_o destroy_v the_o ship_n unto_o which_o he_o belong_v or_o procure_v the_o same_o to_o be_v do_v he_o shall_v suffer_v death_n as_o a_o felon_n act._n the_o continuance_n of_o this_o act._n provide_v that_o this_o act_n shall_v continue_v for_o three_o year_n and_o from_o thence_o to_o the_o end_n of_o the_o next_o session_n of_o parliament_n and_o no_o long_o cap._n vii_o deceitful_a disorderly_a and_o excessive_a game_n and_o moderate_a recreation_n and_o not_o as_o constant_a trade_n or_o calling_n to_o gain_v a_o live_n or_o make_v unlawful_a advantage_n thereby_o and_o whereas_o by_o the_o immoderate_a use_n of_o they_o many_o mischief_n and_o inconvenience_n do_v arise_v and_o be_v daily_o find_v to_o the_o maintain_n and_o encourage_v of_o sundry_a idle_a loose_a and_o disorderly_a person_n in_o their_o dishonest_a lewd_a and_o dissolute_a course_n of_o life_n and_o to_o the_o circumvent_a deceive_a cozen_a and_o debauch_v of_o many_o of_o the_o young_a sort_n both_o of_o the_o nobility_n and_o gentry_n and_o other_o to_o the_o loss_n of_o their_o precious_a time_n and_o the_o utter_a ruin_n of_o their_o estate_n and_o fortune_n and_o withdraw_v they_o from_o noble_a and_o laudable_a employment_n and_o exercise_n be_v it_o therefore_o enact_v by_o the_o king_n most_o excellent_a majesty_n by_o and_o with_o the_o advice_n and_o consent_n of_o the_o lord_n spiritual_a and_o temporal_a and_o the_o commons_o in_o this_o present_a parliament_n assemble_v and_o by_o the_o authority_n of_o the_o same_o that_o if_o any_o person_n or_o person_n of_o any_o degree_n or_o
