confidence_n that_o god_n will_v hear_v and_o answer_v our_o prayer_n and_o hence_o it_o be_v that_o we_o shall_v find_v god_n people_n when_o in_o the_o most_o solemn_a manner_n they_o have_v seek_v the_o pardon_n of_o their_o fin_n they_o have_v ground_v their_o hope_n of_o mercy_n from_o their_o hearty_a confession_n of_o their_o sin_n thus_o david_n 51.3_o ps_n 51.3_o wash_v i_o thorough_o against_o i_o and_o will_v not_o believe_v i_o no_o no_o moses_n join_v himself_o with_o they_o and_o say_v we_o be_v cut_v off_o and_o we_o fly_v away_o what_o spirit_n then_o be_v those_o lead_v by_o that_o condemn_v other_o without_o pity_n and_o compassion_n and_o justify_v themselves_o as_o if_o they_o be_v righteous_a this_o may_v serve_v also_o for_o our_o instruction_n use_v 2_o that_o we_o learn_v by_o moses_n his_o example_n who_o though_o he_o be_v a_o excellent_a man_n of_o god_n high_o in_o god_n favour_n yet_o he_o humble_o join_v himself_o with_o the_o church_n in_o the_o confession_n of_o his_o sin_n as_o well_o as_o they_o acknowledge_v that_o his_o sin_n be_v the_o cause_n of_o god_n judgement_n as_o the_o sin_n of_o the_o people_n though_o he_o escape_v and_o they_o be_v punish_v thus_o shall_v we_o do_v now_o that_o so_o many_o place_n and_o family_n and_o person_n be_v visit_v with_o sickness_n whilst_o we_o escape_v let_v we_o not_o think_v onr_a condition_n better_o than_o they_o or_o that_o they_o be_v great_a sinner_n than_o ourselves_o but_o let_v we_o know_v that_o our_o sin_n have_v be_v the_o cause_n to_o pull_v down_o god_n judgement_n upon_o other_o as_o well_o as_o their_o own_o as_o moses_n here_o acknowledge_v himself_o in_o the_o number_n of_o they_o that_o have_v sin_v and_o have_v compassion_n on_o they_o and_o pray_v for_o they_o even_o so_o though_o other_o die_v and_o thou_o escape_v other_o be_v in_o misery_n when_o thou_o be_v free_a o_o know_v that_o thou_o may_v have_v a_o hand_n in_o their_o plague_n thy_o sin_n ascribe_v all_o their_o misery_n and_o calamity_n that_o man_n suffer_v to_o destiny_n fortune_n or_o chance_n and_o sometime_o to_o their_o own_o want_n of_o providence_n as_o if_o they_o may_v have_v prevent_v they_o and_o thus_o man_n through_o the_o wretchedness_n of_o their_o own_o evil_a heart_n they_o overlook_a god_n look_v after_o the_o stone_n but_o not_o the_o hand_n that_o cast_v it_o second_o reas_n 2_o it_o be_v the_o only_a fruit_n of_o faith_n to_o behold_v god_n chastise_v we_o as_o a_o love_a father_n for_o our_o good_a now_o when_o man_n either_o want_n faith_n or_o faith_n be_v not_o exercise_v under_o the_o cross_n no_o marvel_n though_o man_n overlook_a god_n and_o make_v not_o the_o right_a use_n of_o their_o suffering_n whereas_o david_n in_o his_o great_a disease_n whereby_o many_o in_o all_o part_n and_o corner_n of_o the_o land_n have_v be_v sudden_o sweep_v away_o as_o it_o be_v the_o case_n of_o this_o church_n and_o people_n here_o yet_o how_o few_o lie_v these_o judgement_n of_o god_n to_o heart_n to_o be_v humble_v for_o sin_n the_o cause_n of_o all_o we_o have_v have_v our_o day_n of_o humiliation_n but_o where_o be_v that_o
