they_o into_o his_o communion_n this_o which_o he_o take_v away_o be_v impure_a and_o vicious_a the_o other_o be_v pure_a and_o holy_a this_o be_v natural_a and_o earthly_a the_o other_o be_v spiritual_a and_o heavenly_a the_o principle_n of_o the_o former_a be_v a_o carnal_a mind_n and_o a_o irregular_a concupiscence_n the_o principle_n of_o the_o latter_a be_v a_o divine_a say_v and_o a_o just_a and_o reasonable_a love_n the_o one_o consist_v in_o a_o vicious_a fruition_n of_o the_o flesh_n and_o of_o the_o earth_n the_o other_o be_v a_o sweet_a and_o a_o legitimate_a possess_n of_o the_o spirit_n and_o of_o heaven_n and_o as_o the_o former_a be_v mortal_a and_o perish_v no_o less_o than_o the_o flesh_n and_o the_o earth_n from_o which_o it_o draw_v its_o nutriment_n so_o the_o other_o be_v incorruptible_a and_o eternal_a according_a to_o the_o nature_n of_o the_o spirit_n that_o quicken_v it_o and_o of_o heaven_n that_o maintain_v it_o the_o fruit_n of_o the_o former_a be_v sin_n and_o shame_n and_o damnation_n the_o fruit_n of_o the_o latter_a be_v righteousness_n honour_n joy_n and_o immortality_n that_o first_o life_n therefore_o to_o say_v true_a be_v a_o death_n rather_o than_o a_o life_n be_v such_o as_o after_o a_o short_a and_o feverish_a agitation_n can_v not_o terminate_v but_o in_o eternal_a suffering_n and_o this_o other_o on_o the_o contrary_a be_v alone_o true_o worthy_a of_o the_o name_n of_o life_n which_o name_n also_o the_o scripture_n do_v ofttimes_o pure_o and_o absolute_o give_v it_o 5._o â—_o joh._n 5._o as_o when_o it_o say_v that_o he_o that_o have_v the_o son_n have_v life_n and_o he_o that_o have_v not_o the_o son_n have_v not_o life_n and_o that_o he_o that_o believe_v in_o the_o son_n be_v pass_v from_o death_n to_o life_n but_o then_o you_o will_v say_v since_o we_o do_v believe_v how_o be_v it_o that_o the_o apostle_n say_v our_o life_n be_v hide_v with_o christ_n in_o god_n as_o if_o it_o be_v not_o in_o this_o bless_a life_n the_o which_o he_o cast_v into_o their_o heart_n by_o his_o gospel_n and_o that_o he_o preserve_v augment_v and_o fortify_v they_o there_o gradual_o by_o the_o virtue_n of_o his_o spirit_n and_o by_o the_o usage_n of_o his_o word_n his_o sacrament_n and_o his_o discipline_n unto_o the_o make_v they_o bring_v forth_o the_o excellent_a fruit_n of_o charity_n and_o sanctity_n by_o reason_n of_o these_o beginning_n and_o of_o the_o sure_a title_n they_o bring_v they_o to_o the_o plenitude_n and_o perfection_n of_o that_o life_n they_o be_v say_v in_o scripture_n to_o live_v and_o to_o have_v eternal_a life_n at_o present_a even_o as_o we_o attribute_v to_o a_o plant_n the_o name_n and_o life_n of_o the_o kind_n which_o it_o be_v of_o when_o it_o have_v once_o take_v root_n and_o thrust_v forth_o some_o bud_n and_o verdure_n though_o it_o have_v not_o yet_o its_o whole_a extent_n and_o perfection_n yet_o it_o must_v be_v acknowledge_v too_o that_o the_o complete_a form_n of_o this_o life_n which_o consist_v in_o perfect_a sanctity_n robe_v with_o glorious_a immortality_n resemble_v that_o which_o jesus_n christ_n our_o elder_a brother_n bring_v up_o out_o of_o his_o sepulchre_n at_o his_o rise_n again_o and_o carry_v into_o heaven_n with_o he_o forty_o day_n after_o will_v not_o be_v communicate_v to_o we_o but_o in_o the_o world_n to_o come_v for_o here_o below_o as_o you_o know_v both_o our_o knowledge_n be_v imperfect_a and_o our_o sanctity_n infirm_a as_o the_o apostle_n say_v elsewhere_o declare_v that_o now_o we_o see_v but_o in_o

first_o adam_n before_o sin_n from_o which_o we_o be_v fall_v and_o which_o how_o excellent_a soev_a be_v nevertheless_o animal_n and_o mortal_a that_o be_v capable_a of_o be_v lose_v as_o appear_v by_o the_o issue_n but_o another_o much_o more_o exquisite_a and_o perfect_a a_o life_n eternal_a immutable_a and_o like_o that_o the_o bless_a angel_n live_v thus_o you_o see_v the_o resurrection_n of_o the_o lord_n christ_n be_v the_o idea_n and_o pattern_n of_o we_o but_o i_o add_v in_o the_o second_o place_n that_o we_o be_v say_v to_o be_v rise_v again_o with_o christ_n because_o it_o be_v in_o he_o and_o from_o he_o that_o we_o have_v this_o grace_n it_o be_v evident_a that_o faith_n which_o be_v the_o first_o faculty_n of_o the_o new_a life_n do_v ingraff_n and_o incorporate_v we_o into_o jesus_n christ_n and_o as_o the_o vine-branch_n do_v not_o live_v but_o in_o its_o stock_n so_o man_n can_v live_v that_o divine_a life_n but_o in_o his_o saviour_n in_o fine_a we_o be_v rise_v the_o darkness_n of_o our_o spiritual_a death_n christ_n come_v forth_o out_o of_o his_o grave_n have_v open_v and_o enlighten_v we_o and_o have_v administer_v out_o of_o his_o own_o store_n all_o
