upon_o he_o that_o wear_v the_o gay_a clothing_n and_o say_v unto_o he_o sit_v thou_o here_o in_o a_o good_a place_n and_o say_v to_o the_o poor_a stand_v thou_o there_o or_o sit_v here_o under_o my_o footstool_n be_v you_o not_o then_o 11.29_o partial_a in_o yourselves_o and_o be_v become_v judge_n of_o evil_a thought_n take_v away_o then_o this_o partiality_n and_o let_v the_o poor_a be_v respect_v and_o then_o the_o apostle_n be_v satisfy_v let_v they_o not_o be_v put_v under_o the_o footstool_n but_o be_v put_v in_o a_o good_a place_n as_o the_o rich_a be_v and_o he_o will_v not_o condemn_v we_o he_o speak_v not_o against_o the_o respect_n of_o the_o rich_a but_o the_o neglect_n and_o contempt_n of_o the_o poor_a in_o favour_n of_o they_o he_o write_v tell_v we_o withal_o that_o we_o judge_v amiss_o and_o not_o as_o christianity_n have_v instruct_v we_o if_o we_o think_v that_o there_o be_v any_o great_a matter_n in_o a_o few_o fine_a clothes_n and_o in_o riches_n and_o that_o a_o poor_a man_n may_v be_v slight_v mere_o upon_o the_o account_n of_o his_o poverty_n for_o the_o rich_a may_v be_v a_o very_a enemy_n of_o god_n and_o all_o goodness_n and_o the_o poor_a may_v be_v as_o much_o adorn_v with_o virtue_n which_o be_v the_o true_a riches_n as_o the_o other_o be_v with_o gold_n as_o it_o follow_v harken_v my_o belove_a brethren_n have_v not_o god_n choose_v the_o poor_a of_o this_o world_n rich_a in_o faith_n and_o heir_n of_o the_o kingdom_n which_o he_o have_v promise_v to_o they_o that_o love_v he_o but_o you_o have_v despise_v the_o poor_a these_o last_o word_n show_v again_o whereunto_o the_o apostle_n discourse_n tend_v viz._n that_o the_o poor_a be_v not_o contemn_v god_n say_v he_o have_v consider_v they_o he_o have_v not_o overlook_v they_o in_o his_o distribution_n of_o divine_a thing_n have_v make_v they_o rich_a in_o faith_n and_o so_o heir_n of_o his_o own_o kingdom_n and_o for_o this_o some_o of_o they_o you_o see_v be_v worthy_a to_o be_v regard_v but_o however_o to_o despise_v any_o of_o they_o be_v to_o do_v contrary_a to_o god_n who_o have_v choose_v such_o do_v not_o rich_a man_n oppress_v you_o and_o draw_v you_o before_o the_o judgment-seat_n do_v they_o not_o blaspheme_v that_o worthy_a name_n by_o which_o you_o be_v call_v riches_n make_v not_o man_n better_o for_o some_o that_o have_v they_o be_v the_o great_a sinner_n and_o your_o persecutor_n and_o therefore_o there_o be_v no_o reason_n to_o regulate_v your_o esteem_n of_o man_n altogether_o for_o their_o sake_n if_o you_o fulfil_v the_o royal_a law_n according_a to_o the_o scripture_n thou_o shall_v love_v thy_o neighbour_n as_o thyself_o you_o do_v well_o it_o be_v well_o do_v be_v sure_a to_o observe_v the_o great_a commandment_n of_o the_o law_n which_o be_v also_o the_o commandment_n of_o our_o lord_n christ_n in_o his_o gospel_n love_v thy_o neighbour_n as_o thyself_o and_o this_o require_v love_n to_o all_o to_o the_o poor_a for_o he_o be_v equal_o thy_o neighbour_n and_o if_o we_o must_v love_v he_o we_o know_v then_o that_o this_o can_v consist_v with_o the_o contempt_n of_o he_o and_o as_o we_o will_v not_o be_v despise_v if_o we_o be_v poor_a so_o shall_v we_o love_v other_o as_o we_o do_v ourselves_o and_o not_o despise_v they_o that_o be_v in_o that_o condition_n but_o if_o you_o have_v respect_n to_o person_n you_o commit_v sin_n and_o be_v convince_v of_o the_o law_n as_o transgressor_n but_o know_v you_o to_o respect_v person_n be_v direct_o forbid_v in_o the_o law_n as_o deut._n 1.17_o you_o shall_v not_o respect_v person_n in_o judgement_n but_o you_o shall_v hear_v the_o small_a as_o well_o as_o the_o great_a and_o to_o honour_v the_o rich_a and_o not_o the_o poor_a to_o look_v upon_o the_o one_o high_o and_o to_o despise_v the_o other_o be_v just_a such_o another_o partiality_n as_o to_o hear_v the_o great_a and_o not_o the_o small_a to_o do_v justice_n to_o the_o one_o and_o not_o to_o the_o other_o and_o therefore_o if_o you_o do_v thus_o you_o be_v alike_o convince_v of_o the_o law_n as_o transgressor_n but_o now_o say_v the_o law_n you_o shall_v not_o honour_v man_n not_o any_o man_n whatever_o we_o know_v the_o contrary_a for_o it_o be_v say_v honour_n father_n and_o mother_n honour_n the_o face_n of_o the_o old_a man._n and_o therefore_o when_o it_o say_v have_v no_o respect_n of_o person_n it_o can_v mean_v in_o this_o sense_n acceptation_n of_o person_n and_o give_v of_o honour_n to_o man_n be_v two_o very_a different_a thing_n wherefore_o st._n james_n speak_v of_o that_o respect_n of_o person_n which_o the_o law_n do_v condemn_v he_o can_v be_v understand_v of_o that_o which_o it_o do_v not_o condemn_v namely_o the_o honour_v of_o man_n as_o if_o he_o absolute_o prohibit_v it_o which_o we_o may_v know_v further_o can_v be_v his_o meaning_n in_o that_o it_o be_v contrary_a to_o st._n peter_n who_o say_v honour_v all_o man_n and_o all_o that_o i_o can_v observe_v from_o his_o whole_a discourse_n which_o we_o have_v see_v be_v that_o he_o plead_v for_o the_o due_a observation_n of_o this_o precept_n which_o be_v inconsistent_a with_o give_v honour_n to_o the_o rich_a and_o none_o to_o the_o poor_a respect_v those_o and_o despise_v these_o which_o be_v the_o thing_n he_o condemn_v if_o it_o have_v be_v say_v if_o you_o have_v respect_n to_o the_o rich_a and_o your_o friend_n and_o kindred_n and_o bestow_v gift_n upon_o they_o and_o do_v they_o courtesy_n and_o receive_v not_o the_o poor_a and_o enemy_n and_o unallied_a nor_o show_v they_o any_o kindness_n be_v you_o not_o partial_a will_v this_o signify_v that_o no_o such_o thing_n ought_v to_o be_v do_v to_o our_o kindred_n and_o friend_n and_o the_o rich_a by_o no_o mean_n so_o
