honour_n unto_o sundry_a sort_n of_o man_n be_v not_o of_o force_n to_o dispossess_v himself_o of_o those_o honour_n so_o also_o neither_o be_v the_o commonness_n or_o littleness_n of_o any_o kind_n of_o honour_n of_o any_o force_n to_o exempt_v or_o dismiss_v the_o same_o from_o belong_v unto_o the_o lord_n and_o so_o the_o first_o ground_n of_o our_o demonstration_n be_v most_o certain_a and_o manifest_a namely_o that_o all_o kind_n of_o honour_n glory_n and_o praise_n of_o what_o degree_n or_o kind_n soever_o be_v whole_o and_o perpetual_o due_a only_o unto_o the_o lord_n and_o consequent_o that_o no_o degree_n or_o kind_n of_o honour_n whatsoever_o may_v be_v give_v to_o any_o kind_n of_o creature_n much_o less_o to_o the_o image_n of_o any_o kind_n of_o creature_n but_o only_o by_o virtue_n of_o the_o lord_n express_v and_o special_a appointment_n even_o no_o more_o than_o a_o creditor_n money_n may_v be_v pay_v unto_o any_o but_o such_o as_o the_o creditor_n have_v assign_v to_o receive_v it_o now_o that_o the_o lord_n never_o assign_v nor_o appoint_v any_o kind_n of_o honour_n to_o be_v do_v unto_o image_n we_o must_v take_v it_o for_o grant_v and_o assure_o believe_v it_o until_o we_o find_v his_o express_a word_n under_o his_o own_o hand-writing_n for_o it_o and_o lest_o any_o shall_v busy_v themselves_o unprofitable_o and_o misspend_v precious_a time_n about_o seek_v for_o some_o text_n and_o parcel_n of_o scripture_n to_o prove_v such_o a_o matter_n we_o shall_v give_v they_o a_o sufficient_a item_n to_o save_v they_o that_o labour_n and_o that_o be_v this_o that_o unless_o the_o scripture_n which_o they_o bring_v for_o the_o honour_n of_o image_n be_v far_o more_o plain_a peremptory_a and_o abundant_a than_o any_o that_o can_v be_v bring_v for_o the_o honour_n of_o man_n as_o parent_n prince_n master_n etc._n etc._n they_o must_v not_o be_v admit_v and_o the_o reason_n of_o this_o our_o item_n and_o caveat_n be_v this_o because_o man_n be_v reasonable_a and_o understand_a creature_n and_o such_o as_o be_v able_a to_o improve_v the_o honour_n that_o be_v do_v unto_o they_o unto_o the_o honour_n and_o glory_n of_o the_o lord_n it_o be_v a_o thing_n not_o incredible_a unto_o flesh_n and_o blood_n that_o some_o degree_n and_o kind_n of_o honour_n shall_v be_v do_v to_o they_o and_o therefore_o a_o few_o word_n from_o the_o mouth_n of_o god_n or_o under_o his_o hand-writing_n may_v be_v sufficient_a for_o such_o a_o purpose_n but_o now_o for_o image_n which_o be_v most_o palpable_o void_a of_o all_o understanding_n and_o utter_o unable_a to_o improve_v the_o honour_n that_o be_v do_v unto_o they_o unto_o the_o lord_n final_a advantage_n it_o must_v needs_o be_v a_o thing_n most_o incredible_a unto_o flesh_n and_o blood_n and_o contrary_a to_o all_o the_o rule_n of_o reason_n that_o any_o honour_n shall_v be_v do_v unto_o they_o and_o therefore_o unless_o we_o have_v most_o peremptory_a charge_n from_o god_n so_o to_o do_v and_o that_o far_o more_o abundant_o than_o ever_o we_o have_v for_o the_o honour_n of_o man_n it_o must_v not_o be_v do_v but_o so_o far_o be_v the_o scripture_n from_o such_o super-abundance_n of_o charge_n for_o the_o honour_n of_o image_n as_o that_o whereas_o it_o everywhere_o and_o most_o express_o in_o the_o commandment_n teach_v the_o honour_n of_o man_n as_o parent_n master_n king_n etc._n etc._n it_o scarce_o once_o afford_v any_o shadow_n of_o appointment_n for_o the_o honour_n of_o image_n and_o therefore_o we_o may_v secure_o conclude_v that_o the_o lord_n do_v never_o appoint_v any_o jote_n or_o scrat_fw-mi of_o scruple_n of_o honour_n to_o be_v do_v unto_o they_o and_o so_o our_o demonstration_n against_o the_o do_n of_o civil_a honour_n unto_o image_n be_v abundant_a and_o complete_a the_o force_n whereof_o by_o the_o string_n of_o art_n may_v thus_o be_v contrive_v that_o kind_n of_o honour_n which_o the_o owner_n of_o all_o honour_n do_v never_o appoint_v we_o to_o give_v unto_o image_n must_v not_o be_v give_v unto_o image_n but_o the_o civil_a honour_n be_v such_o a_o kind_n of_o honour_n as_o the_o owner_n of_o all_o honour_n do_v never_o appoint_v we_o to_o give_v unto_o image_n therefore_o the_o civil_a honour_n must_v not_o be_v give_v unto_o image_n but_o because_o every_o capacity_n be_v not_o apt_a to_o be_v fasten_v upon_o by_o demonstration_n nor_o ready_a enough_o to_o gather_v negative_n from_o the_o the_o want_n of_o affirmative_n though_o in_o all_o kind_n of_o grant_n and_o conveyance_n betwixt_o man_n and_o man_n the_o want_n of_o a_o affirmative_a be_v negative_a sufficient_a it_o have_v therefore_o seem_v good_a unto_o the_o indulgence_n of_o god_n to_o declare_v his_o mind_n in_o this_o point_n to_o be_v express_o negative_a and_o that_o not_o only_o in_o general_n when_o he_o forbid_v the_o worship_v of_o any_o thing_n which_o he_o have_v not_o command_v 3_o and_o elsewhere_o he_o say_v 42.8_o my_o
