pontifician_n with_o his_o cover_n of_o ecclesiastical_a worship_n and_o not_o divine_a and_o so_o as_o little_a idolatry_n as_o you_o can_v you_o now_o reject_v which_o foundation_n their_o distinction_n of_o ecclesiastical_a we_o upon_o the_o same_o ground_n deny_v you_o of_o civil_a worship_n for_o they_o stand_v both_o in_o one_o ground_n object_n some_o now_o say_v the_o papist_n do_v intend_v a_o religious_a divine_a honour_n and_o worship_n we_o not_o therefore_o though_o the_o action_n be_v the_o same_o yet_o the_o intention_n make_v they_o idolatry_n we_o not_o answ._n they_o or_o at_o lest_o most_o of_o they_o deny_v it_o will_v you_o admit_v we_o to_o say_v the_o same_o of_o you_o but_o this_o open_v a_o wide_a door_n and_o gives_z liberty_n to_o be_v present_a mind_n make_v that_o idolatry_n which_o otherwise_o be_v not_o evil_a but_o good_a than_o you_o may_v lawful_o put_v off_o your_o hat_n to_o image_n bow_v the_o knee_n to_o the_o wafer-idol_n as_o you_o meet_v it_o in_o the_o street_n or_o be_v present_a in_o the_o idol-temple_n and_o mas-house_n if_o you_o do_v not_o intend_v in_o your_o mind_n any_o honour_n to_o that_o but_o do_v it_o to_o some_o other_o end_n especial_o if_o you_o do_v but_o in_o your_o way_n worship_v your_o god_n at_o that_o time_n and_o then_o if_o this_o be_v orthodox_n doctrine_n among_o you_o how_o much_o less_o excusable_a be_v you_o in_o give_v offence_n to_o the_o papist_n in_o these_o thing_n which_o you_o believe_v you_o may_v do_v without_o sin_n than_o we_o in_o offend_v you_o in_o that_o which_o we_o can_v sine_fw-la laesâ_fw-la conscientiâ_fw-la conform_v unto_o if_o any_o say_v all_o thing_n be_v lawful_a but_o all_o thing_n be_v not_o so_o expedient_a and_o therefore_o though_o it_o be_v both_o by_o word_n and_o example_n and_o therefore_o in_o love_n to_o their_o soul_n we_o can_v do_v it_o we_o also_o say_v to_o you_o though_o put_v off_o the_o hat_n in_o itself_o may_v seem_v nothing_o and_o be_v do_v yet_o we_o have_v therein_o find_v the_o cross_n of_o christ_n and_o in_o the_o cross_n the_o power_n of_o god_n we_o can_v make_v the_o cross_n of_o christ_n to_o cease_v but_o consider_v the_o great_a abuse_n therein_o and_o error_n of_o people_n mind_n and_o what_o mind_n be_v please_v and_o feed_v therewith_o we_o can_v but_o walk_v in_o the_o cross_n to_o that_o mind_n in_o other_o which_o be_v crucify_v in_o ourselves_o that_o so_o they_o may_v come_v also_o to_o take_v up_o the_o daily_a cross_n to_o that_o mind_n in_o they_o which_o 〈…〉_z after_o honour_n to_o it_o this_o be_v superstition_n or_o to_o take_v up_o and_o stand_v in_o and_o not_o move_v from_o a_o formality_n nor_o suffer_v other_o so_o to_o do_v because_o it_o be_v a_o custom_n now_o what_o be_v a_o hat_n or_o what_o be_v in_o it_o that_o you_o will_v needs_o have_v that_o put_v off_o as_o the_o only_a honour_n due_a to_o magistrate_n be_v there_o any_o thing_n more_o in_o it_o then_o in_o the_o coat_n cloak_n glove_n or_o shoe_n but_o as_o the_o invent_v idol-making-mind_n have_v place_v something_o in_o it_o and_o therefore_o it_o be_v no_o dishonour_n to_o magistrate_n good_a land_n of_o mastery_n and_o tyranny_n over_o man_n conscience_n which_o you_o long_v vehement_o after_o and_o his_o son_n richard_n who_o seem_v to_o be_v more_o through-paced_n to_o your_o interest_n than_o the_o old_a man_n he_o be_v your_o joshua_n and_o solomon_n to_o bring_v you_o into_o it_o and_o build_v your_o temple_n in_o which_o you_o will_v have_v offer_v sacrifice_n mingle_v with_o the_o blood_n of_o man_n and_o hope_v to_o draw_v the_o man_n in_o by_o such_o fawn_a title_n you_o term_v he_o the_o light_n of_o your_o eye_n and_o breath_n of_o your_o nostril_n like_o arch_a hypocrite_n and_o notable_a proficient_o at_o that_o art_n as_o if_o you_o have_v study_v nothing_o else_o for_o several_a year_n together_o at_o the_o university_n but_o to_o teach_v your_o heart_n to_o dissemble_v and_o your_o tongue_n to_o flatter_v then_o you_o thank_v god_n that_o the_o lord_n have_v cast_v out_o the_o king_n and_o ease_v the_o land_n of_o tyrannical_a bishop_n and_o bless_v the_o nation_n with_o such_o ruler_n but_o now_o they_o be_v cast_v forth_o for_o espouse_v your_o interest_n and_o the_o king_n be_v return_v again_o and_o all_o honour_n preferment_n and_o benefice_n must_v come_v from_o the_o king_n and_o bishop_n your_o belly_n now_o teach_v you_o to_o turn_v your_o tongue_n and_o thank_v god_n that_o a_o tyrant_n be_v cast_v out_o and_o the_o true_a heir_n restore_v together_o with_o the_o ancient_n honourable_a and_o grave_a ministry_n of_o the_o church_n of_o england_n and_o his_o grace_n be_v now_o come_v in_o fashion_n with_o you_o again_o but_o certain_o both_o king_n and_o bishop_n can_v but_o see_v your_o deceit_n and_o who_o you_o serve_v and_o will_v trust_v you_o no_o more_o than_o they_o will_v profess_v hypocrite_n and_o from_o child_n to_o their_o parent_n servant_n to_o their_o master_n and_o wife_n to_o their_o own_o husband_n etc._n etc._n yet_o that_o none_o of_o these_o relation_n may_v think_v that_o they_o may_v command_v what_o they_o list_v and_o then_o look_v upon_o all_o under_o they_o as_o bind_v actual_o to_o obey_v they_o in_o all_o thing_n whatsoever_o because_o the_o scripture_n say_v be_v obedient_a in_o all_o thing_n they_o may_v plain_o see_v that_o universal_a be_v every_o where_o limit_v again_o to_o that_o which_o be_v good_a as_o be_v here_o show_v as_o also_o what_o that_o this_o obedience_n and_o subjection_n in_o all_o good_a thing_n be_v that_o which_o the_o lord_n require_v as_o well_o to_o he_o to_o be_v render_v not_o only_o to_o the_o good_a and_o moderate_a but_o also_o to_o the_o hard_a for_o the_o obedience_n be_v unto_o the_o lord_n for_o his_o sake_n for_o conscience_n sake_n and_o not_o for_o their_o sake_n and_o he_o be_v the_o reward_n of_o those_o that_o obey_v he_o in_o the_o faith_n but_o if_o they_o go_v beyond_o these_o bound_n in_o their_o command_n command_v thing_n unfitting_a evil_a and_o not_o well-pleasing_a to_o the_o lord_n but_o contrary_a to_o his_o will_n it_o be_v then_o neither_o honour_n to_o god_n nor_o they_o to_o obey_v they_o actual_o but_o a_o dishonour_n to_o the_o name_n of_o god_n that_o any_o shall_v fear_v man_n more_o than_o he_o and_o not_o rather_o suffer_v for_o the_o name_n of_o christ_n and_o the_o testimony_n of_o a_o good_a conscience_n but_o good_a wise_a and_o prudent_a ruler_n who_o such_o feather_n in_o my_o hat_n and_o such_o a_o fine_a sword_n by_o my_o side_n why_o do_v i_o build_v or_o purchase_v such_o stately_a palace_n if_o notwithstanding_o all_o this_o i_o shall_v be_v honour_v before_o the_o people_n no_o more_o than_o one_o of_o the_o people_n out_o of_o authority_n no_o more_o than_o a_o common_a simple_a plain_a fellow_n in_o a_o leathern_a jacket_n or_o doublet_n what_o be_v it_o all_o worth_n without_o this_o unless_o i_o be_v honour_v the_o more_o for_o it_o tush_o it_o be_v not_o all_o worth_a twopence_n without_o it_o it_o be_v for_o that_o i_o seek_v and_o buy_v all_o this_o and_o now_o to_o lose_v my_o cost_n and_o pain_n and_o to_o get_v nor_o cap_n nor_o knee_n nor_o bow_n nor_o congee_n nor_o your_o grace_n honour_n nor_o worship_n
