part_n of_o the_o nation_n to_o make_v way_n for_o union_n do_v mr._n h._n imagine_v that_o the_o true_a son_n of_o the_o church_n will_v so_o easy_o part_v with_o so_o ancient_a and_o apostolical_a a_o government_n which_o owe_v not_o its_o institution_n to_o civil_a power_n and_o what_o will_v the_o civil_a state_n get_v by_o this_o to_o exchange_v the_o church_n for_o dissenter_n to_o make_v a_o imaginary_a national_a church_n by_o a_o combination_n of_o dissenter_n and_o to_o part_v with_o a_o much_o better_a church_n for_o it_o to_o attempt_v a_o union_n on_o between_o dissenter_n who_o as_o mr._n h._n own_v can_v never_o agree_v their_o dispute_n and_o therefore_o can_v never_o unite_v though_o they_o may_v be_v tie_v together_o or_o comprehend_v in_o the_o same_o vessel_n as_o sand_n or_o water_n be_v and_o to_o dissolve_v a_o church_n which_o be_v all_o of_o a_o piece_n firm_o unite_v within_o itself_o and_o to_o its_o prince_n but_o what_o need_v all_o this_o will_n mr._n h._n say_v i_o never_o design_v to_o dissolve_v the_o constitution_n of_o the_o church_n of_o england_n but_o only_o to_o bring_v dissenter_n into_o the_o legal_a establishment_n let_v this_o then_o be_v try_v whether_o his_o material_n for_o union_n do_v not_o destroy_v the_o present_a constitution_n root_n and_o branch_n the_o present_a constitution_n of_o our_o church_n in_o conformity_n to_o the_o ancient_a apostolical_a government_n consist_v of_o bishop_n presbyter_n and_o deacon_n let_v we_o try_v then_o whether_o we_o can_v find_v either_o of_o these_o in_o mr._n h.'s_n material_n suppose_v a_o parliament_n shall_v by_o law_n establish_v presbyterian_a and_o independent_a church_n of_o all_o sort_n as_o well_o as_o the_o church_n of_o england_n yet_o how_o can_v a_o act_n of_o parliament_n make_v they_o all_o one_o national_a communion_n when_o after_o such_o a_o act_n they_o will_v remain_v as_o much_o divide_v and_o separate_v from_o one_o another_o and_o from_o the_o church_n of_o england_n as_o they_o be_v now_o and_o the_o design_n of_o such_o a_o act_n of_o parliament_n be_v to_o make_v it_o lawful_a or_o legal_a for_o they_o to_o continue_v so_o be_v the_o presbyterian_a and_o independent_a congregation_n one_o communion_n with_o themselves_o or_o with_o the_o church_n of_o england_n now_o if_o they_o be_v why_o do_v they_o complain_v for_o want_v of_o union_n if_o they_o be_v not_o will_v such_o a_o act_n of_o parliament_n which_o establish_v the_o schism_n and_o make_v it_o a_o law_n make_v they_o unite_v into_o one_o communion_n no_o man_n know_v indeed_o what_o may_v be_v because_o these_o man_n love_v to_o act_v in_o contradiction_n to_o law_n and_o possible_o may_v grow_v out_o of_o love_n with_o schism_n when_o it_o be_v make_v the_o law_n of_o the_o land_n but_o if_o they_o do_v not_o how_o be_v they_o more_o unite_v into_o one_o communion_n by_o such_o a_o law_n than_o they_o be_v without_o it_o if_o their_o church_n government_n discipline_n worship_n be_v all_o distinct_a and_o separate_v and_o contrary_a to_o each_o other_o what_o a_o strange_a kind_n of_o communion_n be_v this_o every_o member_n of_o the_o national_a church_n be_v a_o member_n of_o the_o whole_a national_a church_n but_o can_v a_o presbyterian_a independent_a or_o episcopal_a church_n be_v member_n of_o one_o another_o by_o what_o name_n shall_v
