unto_o thou_o our_o heavenly_a father_n belong_v the_o kingdom_n and_o sovereign_a government_n of_o all_o thing_n with_o right_a and_o strength_n to_o dispose_v thereof_o for_o bring_v to_o pass_v all_o that_o we_o request_v for_o and_o to_o thou_o do_v belong_v the_o glory_n of_o all_o thing_n for_o ever_o whence_o learn_v 1._o that_o none_o be_v to_o be_v pray_v unto_o but_o he_o only_o who_o covetousness_n of_o earthly_a thing_n be_v because_o all_o earthly_a thing_n be_v perish_v and_o may_v in_o our_o time_n either_o rot_n or_o be_v take_v from_o we_o for_o what_o be_v on_o earth_n moth_n and_o rust_n may_v corrupt_v or_o thief_n 〈◊〉_d break_v in_o upon_o and_o steal_v it_o verse_n 20._o but_o lay_v up_o for_o yourselves_o treasure_n in_o heaven_n when_o neither_o moth_n nor_o dark_a and_o unspeakable_o sinful_a therefore_o set_v not_o yourselves_o to_o treasure_n up_o earthly_a thing_n but_o heavenly_a rather_o this_o be_v import_v in_o a_o similitude_n thus_o as_o the_o eye_n by_o its_o light_n be_v the_o direct_a of_o the_o whole_a body_n so_o the_o intention_n of_o a_o man_n mind_n or_o heart_n by_o its_o light_n be_v the_o direct_a of_o the_o whole_a course_n intention_n sanctify_v then_o to_o have_v the_o eye_n of_o our_o body_n clear_a for_o as_o the_o eye_n be_v the_o light_n of_o the_o body_n so_o be_v the_o mind_n the_o heart_n and_o intention_n the_o light_n of_o a_o man_n life_n 2._o as_o when_o the_o eye_n of_o the_o body_n be_v clear_a the_o whole_a body_n be_v illuminate_v and_o well_o direct_v what_o to_o do_v so_o when_o the_o intention_n of_o the_o mind_n and_o heart_n which_o be_v the_o eye_n of_o the_o soul_n be_v single_a and_o set_v upon_o the_o heavenly_a treasure_n than_o the_o whole_a body_n of_o a_o man_n conversation_n shall_v be_v well_o order_v and_o full_a of_o light_n to_o direct_v he_o in_o the_o way_n how_o to_o get_v the_o heavenly_a treasure_n 3._o as_o when_o the_o eye_n of_o the_o body_n be_v corrupt_a and_o ill_o dispose_v the_o whole_a body_n walk_v in_o darkness_n without_o direction_n so_o when_o the_o intention_n of_o a_o man_n heart_n be_v not_o single_o set_v on_o the_o heavenly_a treasure_n but_o be_v evil_a and_o set_v on_o the_o thing_n of_o the_o earth_n than_o the_o whole_a body_n of_o a_o man_n course_n and_o action_n be_v full_a of_o darkness_n that_o be_v of_o ignorance_n and_o miscarriage_n of_o sin_n and_o misery_n when_o the_o intention_n of_o a_o man_n which_o he_o set_v up_o as_o a_o mark_n to_o shoot_v at_o and_o use_v as_o a_o light_n to_o direct_v he_o what_o mean_v he_o shall_v use_v be_v darkness_n that_o be_v erroneous_a and_o sinful_a then_o unspeakable_a great_a be_v the_o darkness_n error_n and_o sinfulness_n of_o that_o man_n course_n for_o if_o the_o light_n that_o be_v in_o thou_o be_v darkness_n say_v christ_n how_o great_a be_v that_o darkness_n 5._o this_o general_a sentence_n may_v serve_v to_o loose_v a_o doubt_n about_o the_o lawfulness_n must_v do_v nothing_o but_o as_o god_n allow_v he_o neither_o in_o the_o matter_n of_o pleasure_n nor_o of_o profit_n nor_o of_o preferment_n nor_o in_o any_o other_o thing_n for_o this_o be_v to_o serve_v god_n as_o his_o master_n 2._o if_o the_o care_n or_o love_n of_o riches_n or_o any_o other_o thing_n draw_v away_o the_o mind_n or_o heart_n of_o a_o man_n from_o the_o love_n of_o god_n or_o from_o his_o obedience_n a_o man_n become_v the_o servant_n of_o mammon_n or_o of_o that_o lust_n whereunto_o he_o so_o give_v obedience_n 3._o albeit_o man_n conceive_v they_o can_v well_o serve_v god_n and_o their_o lust_n also_o yet_o it_o be_v impossible_a so_o to_o do_v for_o no_o man_n can_v serve_v two_o master_n opposite_a such_o as_o be_v god_n and_o whatsoever_o thing_n do_v come_v in_o competition_n with_o he_o for_o you_o can_v serve_v god_n and_o mammon_n 4._o that_o thing_n be_v a_o man_n master_n which_o the_o man_n be_v put_v to_o the_o trial_n love_v most_o hold_v most_o mean_n able_a to_o make_v bless_v one_o pearl_n of_o price_n to_o wit_n christ_n jesus_n in_o who_o be_v hide_v all_o the_o treasure_n of_o wisdom_n and_o grace_n and_o that_o the_o wise_a man_n will_v content_v himself_o with_o christ_n and_o what_o be_v to_o be_v find_v in_o he_o and_o will_v renounce_v all_o other_o thing_n which_o come_v in_o comparison_n with_o he_o verse_n 47._o again_o
