therefore_o my_o déerbeloved_a brethren_n let_v we_o cease_v to_o speak_v that_o thing_n of_o the_o apostle_n saint_n paul_n which_o he_o never_o once_o think_v of_o himself_o but_o féers_o fight_v against_o it_o continual_o in_o answer_v such_o as_o measure_a righteousness_n by_o work_n &_o not_o by_o faith_n in_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ._n but_o beside_o these_o two_o auctority_n of_o solomon_n and_o saint_n paul_n a_o man_n may_v allege_v some_o other_o place_n of_o holy_a scripture_n which_o whereas_o they_o warn_v and_o encourage_v man_n to_o fear_n god_n seem_v to_o be_v contrary_a to_o the_o assurance_n of_o this_o our_o predestination_n and_o if_o i_o will_v declare_v they_o all_o particular_o i_o shall_v be_v over_o long_o 〈◊〉_d but_o i_o say_v general_o 8._o that_o you_o fear_v of_o punishment_n be_v proper_a to_o the_o old_a testament_n and_o childly_a love_v to_o the_o new_a testament_n according_a as_o s._n paul_n witness_v when_o he_o say_v to_o the_o roman_n you_o have_v not_o receive_v the_o spirit_n of_o bondage_n to_o fear_v but_o you_o have_v receive_v in_o spirit_n of_o adoption_n whereby_o we_o ●rye_v father_n father_n and_o likewise_o unto_o timothy_n he_o say_v ●_o y_fw-fr god_n have_v not_o give_v we_o in_o spirit_n of_o fearfulness_n but_o rather_o of_o power_n and_o love_n which_o spirit_n jesus_n christ_n have_v give_v we_o according_a to_o the_o promise_n make_v by_o the_o mouth_n of_o the_o holy_a prophet_n and_o bring_v to_o pass_v that_o we_o be_v deliver_v out_o of_o our_o enemy_n hand_n may_v serve_v he_o without_o fear_n before_o his_o holy_a presence_n in_o all_o holiness_n and_o righteousness_n all_o the_o day_n of_o our_o life_n by_o these_o &_o many_o other_o place_n of_o the_o holy_a scripture_n a_o man_n may_v plain_o gather_v that_o you_o painful_a and_o slavish_a fearfulness_n agree_v not_o with_o a_o christian_a and_o this_o be_v already_o confirm_v by_o this_o that_o such_o manner_n of_o fearfulness_n be_v utter_o contrary_a to_o the_o spiritual_a cheerfulness_n and_o joy_n which_o be_v peculiar_a to_o the_o christian_n as_o the_o apostle_n saint_n paul_n show_v open_o to_o the_o roman_n 14_o say_v that_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n be_v righteousness_n &_o peace_n &_o joy_n in_o the_o holy_a ghost_n that_o be_v to_o say_v a'n_z every_o man_n which_o enter_v into_o the_o kingdom_n of_o the_o grace_n of_o the_o gospel_n be_v become_v righteous_a through_o faith_n and_o afterward_o add_v peace_n of_o conscience_n 6._o which_o consequent_o breed_v such_o a_o spiritual_a and_o holy_a rest_n &_o gladness_n 4._o in_o respect_n whereof_o the_o same_o saint_n paul_n do_v oftentimes_o encourage_v the_o christian_n to_o live_v merry_o 1_o and_o saint_n peter_n say_v that_o all_o they_o which_o believe_v in_o jesus_n christ_n do_v continual_o rejoice_v with_o a_o unspeakable_a and_o glorious_a joy_n notwithstanding_o that_o they_o be_v afflict_v with_o diverse_a temptation_n choose_v and_o therefore_o when_o the_o holy_a scripture_n threaten_v and_o fray_v the_o christian_n they_o must_v understand_v that_o it_o speak_v to_o such_o as_o be_v so_o licentious_a that_o forsomuch_o as_o they_o keep_v not_o the_o thankfulness_n and_o honesty_n that_o belong_v to_o god_n child_n they_o must_v
