our_o fear_n and_o in_o all_o the_o evil_n that_o we_o suffer_v his_o mercy_n be_v more_o than_o we_o can_v tell_v and_o they_o be_v more_o than_o we_o can_v feel_v for_o all_o the_o world_n in_o the_o abyss_n of_o the_o divine_a mercy_n be_v like_o a_o man_n dive_v into_o the_o bottom_n of_o the_o sea_n over_o who_o head_n the_o water_n run_v insensible_o and_o unperceived_a and_o yet_o the_o weight_n be_v vast_a and_o the_o sum_n of_o they_o be_v unmeasurable_a and_o the_o man_n be_v not_o press_v with_o the_o burden_n nor_o confound_v with_o number_n and_o no_o observation_n be_v able_a to_o recount_v no_o sense_n sufficient_a to_o perceive_v no_o memory_n large_a enough_o to_o retain_v no_o understanding_n great_a enough_o to_o apprehend_v this_o infinity_n but_o we_o must_v admire_v and_o love_v and_o worship_n and_o magnify_v this_o mercy_n for_o ever_o and_o ever_o that_o we_o we_o may_v dwell_v in_o what_o we_o feel_v and_o be_v comprehend_v by_o that_o which_o be_v equal_a to_o god_n and_o the_o parent_n of_o all_o felicity_n and_o yet_o this_o be_v but_o the_o one_o half_a the_o mercy_n of_o give_v i_o have_v now_o tell_v of_o but_o those_o of_o forgive_n be_v great_a though_o not_o more_o he_o be_v ready_a to_o forgive_v and_o upon_o this_o stock_n thrive_v the_o interest_n of_o our_o great_a hope_n the_o hope_n of_o a_o bless_a immortality_n for_o if_o the_o mercy_n of_o give_v have_v not_o make_v our_o expectation_n big_a enough_o to_o entertain_v the_o confidence_n of_o heaven_n yet_o when_o we_o think_v of_o the_o graciousnesse_n and_o opinion_n of_o the_o divine_a mercy_n if_o we_o dare_v not_o believe_v concern_v it_o that_o it_o be_v desirous_a and_o able_a and_o watchful_a and_o passionate_a to_o keep_v we_o or_o rescue_v we_o respective_o from_o such_o a_o condemnation_n the_o pain_n of_o which_o be_v insupportable_a and_o the_o duration_n be_v eternal_a and_o the_o extension_n be_v misery_n upon_o all_o our_o faculty_n and_o the_o intention_n be_v great_a beyond_o patience_n or_o natural_a or_o supernatural_a ability_n and_o the_o state_n be_v a_o state_n of_o darkness_n and_o despair_n of_o confusion_n and_o amazement_n of_o curse_v and_o roar_v anguish_n of_o spirit_n and_o gnash_v of_o tooth_n misery_n universal_a perfect_a and_o irremediable_a from_o this_o it_o be_v which_o god_n mercy_n will_v so_o fain_o preserve_v we_o this_o be_v a_o state_n that_o god_n provide_v for_o his_o enemy_n not_o for_o they_o that_o love_v he_o that_o endeavour_n to_o obey_v though_o they_o do_v it_o but_o in_o weakness_n that_o weep_v true_o for_o their_o sin_n though_o but_o with_o a_o shower_n no_o big_a than_o the_o drop_n of_o pity_n that_o wait_v for_o his_o come_n with_o a_o holy_a and_o pure_a flame_n though_o their_o lamp_n be_v no_o bright_a than_o a_o poor_a man_n candle_n though_o their_o strength_n be_v no_o great_a than_o a_o contrite_a reed_n or_o a_o strain_a arm_n and_o their_o fire_n have_v no_o more_o warmth_n than_o the_o smok_n of_o kindle_v flax_n if_o our_o faith_n be_v pure_a and_o our_o love_n unfeigned_a if_o the_o degree_n of_o it_o be_v great_a god_n will_v accept_v it_o into_o glory_n if_o it_o be_v little_a he_o will_v accept_v it_o into_o grace_n and_o make_v it_o big_a for_o that_o be_v the_o first_o instance_n of_o god_n readiness_n to_o forgive_v he_o will_v upon_o any_o term_n that_o be_v not_o unreasonable_a and_o that_o do_v not_o suppose_v a_o remanent_fw-la affection_n to_o sin_n keep_v we_o from_o the_o intolerable_a pain_n of_o hell_n and_o indeed_o if_o we_o consider_v the_o constitution_n of_o the_o condition_n which_o god_n require_v we_o shall_v soon_o perceive_v god_n intend_v heaven_n to_o we_o as_o a_o mere_a gift_n and_o that_o the_o duty_n on_o our_o part_n be_v but_o little_a entertainment_n and_o exercise_n of_o our_o affection_n and_o our_o love_n that_o the_o devil_n may_v not_o seize_v upon_o that_o portion_n which_o to_o eternal_a age_n shall_v be_v the_o instrument_n of_o our_o happiness_n for_o in_o all_o the_o part_n of_o our_o duty_n it_o may_v be_v there_o be_v but_o one_o instance_n in_o which_o we_o be_v to_o do_v violence_n to_o our_o natural_a and_o first_o desire_n for_o those_o man_n have_v very_o ill_a nature_n to_o who_o virtue_n be_v so_o contrary_a that_o they_o be_v incline_v natural_o to_o lust_n to_o drunkenness_n and_o anger_n
