mention_v in_o the_o scripture_n the_o one_o fleshly_a and_o natural_a by_o propagation_n from_o the_o first_o adam_n whereby_o original_a and_o our_o birth-sin_n as_o it_o be_v a_o serpent_n poison_n pass_v and_o transfuse_v itself_o into_o we_o the_o other_o heavenly_a and_o spiritual_a by_o renovation_n from_o the_o second_o adam_n which_o be_v jesus_n christ_n whereby_o grace_n and_o holiness_n be_v derive_v and_o bring_v unto_o us._n in_o this_o latter_a and_o better_a birth_n god_n be_v our_o father_n to_o beget_v we_o the_o church_n his_o spouse_n our_o mother_n to_o conceive_v we_o 2._o the_o seed_n whereby_o we_o be_v breed_v and_o bear_v again_o 6._o be_v the_o word_n of_o god_n 29._o the_o nurse_n to_o feed_v and_o to_o wean_v 7_o and_o to_o cherish_v we_o be_v the_o minister_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o the_o food_n whereby_o we_o be_v nourish_v and_o hold_v in_o life_n be_v the_o milk_n of_o the_o word_n as_o in_o this_o place_n and_o therefore_o in_o as_o much_o as_o child_n which_o be_v new_a bear_v can_v increase_v in_o growth_n and_o stature_n but_o must_v needs_o die_v and_o come_v to_o dissolution_n unless_o they_o be_v continual_o feed_v and_o nourish_v with_o wholesome_a food_n it_o behoove_v all_o the_o faithful_a and_o godly_a who_o be_v quicken_v and_o reviue_v in_o the_o life_n of_o god_n as_o new_o bear_v babe_n to_o desire_v the_o sincere_a milk_n of_o the_o word_n that_o they_o may_v grow_v by_o it_o i_o think_v we_o need_v not_o many_o word_n to_o clear_v the_o general_a drift_n and_o scope_n of_o this_o scripture_n as_o we_o need_v not_o many_o finger_n to_o point_n at_o the_o shine_a sun_n let_v we_o now_o therefore_o descend_v to_o the_o particular_a doctrine_n which_o issue_n and_o spring_n from_o the_o several_a branch_n of_o this_o scripture_n first_o here_o be_v note_v a_o preparation_n if_o we_o will_v be_v better_v and_o increase_v by_o the_o word_n we_o must_v be_v as_o new_o bear_v bar_n secondlie_o our_o affection_n and_o duty_n when_o we_o be_v new_a bear_v we_o must_v desire_v three_o the_o matter_n &_o object_n of_o our_o desire_n the_o milk_n of_o the_o word_n four_o the_o quality_n of_o the_o milk_n it_o must_v be_v sincere_a last_o the_o end_n and_o use_v for_o which_o we_o desire_v it_o 4._o that_o we_o may_v grow_v thereby_o for_o the_o first_o point_n we_o must_v be_v as_o new_o bear_v babe_n 20_o child_n we_o know_v be_v principal_o commend_v for_o simplicity_n and_o harmelesnes_n and_o therefore_o all_o those_o which_o will_v profit_v in_o the_o school_n of_o christ_n and_o receive_v light_a and_o comfort_n by_o the_o preach_n of_o the_o word_n be_v here_o teach_v to_o become_v as_o babe_n to_o lay_v aside_o all_o maliciousness_n and_o to_o bring_v holy_a and_o sanctify_a heart_n to_o the_o hear_n of_o it_o 29_o suffer_v the_o little_a babe_n to_o come_v unto_o i_o say_v our_o saviour_n and_o forbid_v they_o not_o for_o of_o such_o be_v the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n as_o if_o we_o be_v never_o fit_a to_o hear_v &_o learn_v of_o christ_n till_o we_o be_v reform_v &_o new_o change_v into_o little_a babe_n again_o for_o the_o secret_n of_o the_o lord_n as_o the_o psalmist_n speak_v be_v with_o they_o that_o fear_v he_o 14_o to_o teach_v we_o that_o as_o david_n will_v admit_v no_o vile_a person_n into_o his_o counsel_n so_o god_n will_v admit_v no_o sinful_a soul_n into_o his_o secret_n if_o any_o man_n will_v do_v god_n will_v say_v our_o saviour_n he_o shall_v know_v of_o the_o doctrine_n whether_o it_o be_v of_o god_n or_o no_o 17_o because_o no_o man_n can_v learn_v this_o doctrine_n but_o he_o that_o do_v it_o 3_o as_o no_o man_n can_v learn_v the_o virgin_n song_n but_o they_o which_o sing_v it_o and_o solomon_n to_o the_o
