into_o we_o be_v more_o apt_a to_o be_v deceive_v by_o error_n then_o profaneness_n in_o many_o respect_n 1._o because_o no_o one_o almost_o do_v justify_v and_o plead_v for_o profaneness_n for_o drunkard_n almost_o be_v come_v to_o that_o impudence_n as_o to_o tell_v you_o that_o you_o must_v be_v drink_v but_o all_o heretic_n lay_v it_o on_o your_o conscience_n to_o believe_v their_o error_n and_o they_o do_v not_o only_o preach_v it_o for_o a_o truth_n but_o general_o for_o a_o fundamental_a truth_n 2._o because_o of_o the_o subtlety_n of_o deceiver_n profane_a person_n be_v not_o comparable_o so_o wise_a in_o their_o generation_n as_o heretic_n be_v 3._o profaneness_n be_v general_o more_o dangerous_a to_o infect_v those_o that_o scarce_o have_v any_o shadow_n of_o religion_n in_o their_o life_n but_o heresy_n main_o god_n people_n profaneness_n be_v among_o the_o heathen_n but_o heresy_n in_o the_o church_n therefore_o that_o may_v be_v one_o reason_n why_o false_a prophet_n be_v call_v wolf_n because_o their_o drift_n be_v to_o destroy_v sheep_n 4._o there_o be_v no_o call_n under_o heaven_n so_o excellent_a but_o the_o devil_n have_v some_o of_o his_o agent_n that_o profess_v it_o we_o read_v of_o false_a prophet_n false_a apostle_n false_a christ_n and_o those_o that_o pretend_v to_o be_v god_n that_o be_v not_o go_n 5._o christ_n have_v set_v down_o many_o sign_n some_o more_o and_o some_o less_o open_o to_o know_v false_a prophet_n by_o 1._o their_o subtlety_n signify_v in_o this_o word_n beware_v we_o need_v take_v great_a heed_n or_o else_o we_o shall_v be_v deceive_v 2._o because_o general_o they_o come_v to_o you_o of_o their_o own_o accord_n not_o send_v by_o god_n or_o man_n 3._o in_o respect_n of_o their_o fair_a carriage_n and_o pretence_n they_o come_v in_o sheep_n clothing_n 4._o their_o fair_a conversation_n come_v not_o from_o a_o inward_a principle_n it_o be_v but_o put_v on_o as_o a_o garment_n and_o they_o care_v not_o for_o holiness_n they_o can_v part_v with_o it_o without_o any_o trouble_n as_o a_o man_n can_v put_v off_o his_o clothes_n without_o pain_n a_o sheepskin_n can_v be_v take_v off_o from_o a_o sheep_n without_o a_o great_a deal_n of_o pain_n but_o from_o a_o wolf_n it_o may_v because_o they_o only_o put_v it_o on_o 5._o by_o their_o earnestness_n and_o insatiablenesse_n in_o spread_v their_o rather_o that_o the_o evangelist_n and_o the_o people_n shall_v have_v take_v notice_n of_o the_o heavenlinesse_n of_o his_o doctrine_n rather_o than_o the_o authority_n with_o which_o he_o deliver_v it_o the_o reason_n may_v be_v first_o it_o be_v say_v in_o respect_n of_o christ_n to_o show_v the_o difference_n betwixt_o his_o preach_n and_o all_o other_o for_o whether_o they_o be_v prophet_n scribe_n or_o any_o other_o they_o preach_v not_o so_o authoritative_o as_o christ_n do_v for_o the_o prophet_n say_v thus_o say_v the_o lord_n the_o scribe_n thus_o say_v such_o a_o rabbi_n etc._n etc._n they_o prove_v what_o they_o say_v by_o the_o testimony_n of_o other_o but_o christ_n upon_o his_o own_o authority_n i_o say_v unto_o you_o and_o this_o be_v that_o wherein_o our_o saviour_n excel_v all_o other_o preacher_n for_o the_o substance_n and_o matter_n of_o his_o doctrine_n it_o be_v wonderful_a heavenly_a yet_o for_o the_o substance_n of_o it_o it_o have_v be_v former_o preach_v but_o no_o one_o ever_o preach_v upon_o their_o own_o authority_n before_o his_o doctrine_n differ_v from_o the_o prophet_n and_o all_o other_o teach_n in_o heavenlinesse_n and_o clearness_n but_o that_o be_v only_o in_o degree_n but_o in_o respect_n of_o his_o authoritative_a preach_v it_o differ_v but_o in_o kind_n 2._o in_o respect_n of_o the_o people_n the_o meaning_n may_v be_v thus_o that_o the_o sermon_n of_o christ_n come_v with_o such_o authority_n and_o power_n upon_o their_o spirit_n that_o they_o be_v full_o convince_v of_o the_o truth_n of_o those_o thing_n he_o preach_v which_o conviction_n in_o any_o proportionable_a measure_n they_o never_o have_v experience_n before_o of_o as_o often_o as_o they_o have_v hear_v the_o scribe_n preach_v 3._o or_o may_v it_o not_o be_v to_o show_v that_o though_o they_o be_v astonish_v yet_o it_o be_v not_o upon_o right_a ground_n for_o whosoever_o be_v take_v with_o the_o eloquence_n pronunciation_n or_o any_o thing_n else_o in_o a_o sermon_n beside_o the_o holiness_n of_o the_o matter_n that_o be_v deliver_v though_o their_o delight_n be_v spiritual_a in_o respect_n of_o the_o object_n for_o it_o be_v the_o word_n
