V. 22 for he had great possessions L Luke V. 24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowfull Mr. Mark V. 23 and Jesus when he had looked round about L Luke V. 24 he said Mr. Mark V. 23 unto his disciples How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdome of God! V. 23 Verily I say unto you that a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdome of heaven Mr. Mark V. 24 And the disciples were astonished at his words But Jesus answereth again and saith unto them Children how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdome of God! M Matth. V. 24 And again I say unto you It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle then for a rich man to enter into the kingdome of God Matth. Ch. 19 V. 25 When his disciples heard it they were exceedingly amazed L Luke Ch. 18 V. 26 And they that heard it said Mr. Mark Ch. 10 V. 26 saying among themselves L Luke Ch. 18 V. 26 Who then can be saved Mr. Mark V. 27 And Jesus looking upon them saith M Matth. CXXXII Peter desires to know the reward of his apostleship The parable of the labourers in the vineyard Mr. Mark V. 28 ANd M Matth. V. 27 then answered Peter and Mr. Mark V. 28 began to say M Matth. V. 27 and said unto him Behold we have forsaken all and followed thee what shall we have therefore Mr. Mark V. 29 And Jesus answered and said M Matth. V. 28 unto them Verily I say unto you that ye which have followed me in the regeneration when the Sonne of man shall sit in the throne of his glorie ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones Matth. V. 30 judging the twelve tribes of Israel And every one that hath forsaken houses or brethren or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands for my names sake shall receive an hundred fold and shall inherit everlasting life Mr. Mark V. 29 Verily I say unto you L Luke V. 29 that Mr. Mark V. 29 there is no man that hath left house or brethren or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands for my sake and the Gospels and L Luke V. 29 for the kingdome of Gods sake Mark V. 30 But he shall receive L Luke V. 30 manifold more Mr. Mark V. 30 now in this time houses and brethren and sisters
is the light with you walk while ye have the light lest darknesse come upon you for he that walketh in darknesse knoweth not whither he goeth While ye have light John V. 36 beleeve in the light that ye may be the children of light These things spake Jesus Mr. Mark Ch. 11 V. 11 and now the eventide was come M Matth. CXLVIII The cursing of the fig-tree The temple again cleansed and Christs farewell sermon concerning his office M Matth. Ch. 21 V. 18 as he returned into the citie Mr. Mark Ch. 11 V. 12 when they were come from Bethanie he was hungrie M Matth. V. 19 And when he saw a fig-tree Mr. Mark Ch. 11 V. 13 afarre off M Matth. V. 19 in the way Mr. Mark V. 13 having leaves M Matth. V. 19 he came to it Mr. Mark Ch. 11 V. 13 if haply he might finde any thing thereon and when he came to it he found nothing M Matth. V. 19 thereon but leaves onely Mr. Mark V. 14 for the time of figs was not yet And Jesus answered and said unto it M Matth. V. 19 Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever and Mr. Mark V. 14 no man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever And his disciples heard tit M Matth. CXLIX Christs speech to his disciples of the power of faith upon occasion of the cursing of the withered fig-tree Mr. Mark V. 20 ANd in the morning as they passed by they saw the fig-tree dried up from the roots M Matth. Ch. 21 V. 20 And when the disciples saw it they marvelled saying How soon is the fig-tree withered away Mr. Mark V. 21 And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him Master behold the fig-tree which thou cursedst is withered away Mark V. 22 And Jesus answering saith unto them Mark V. 23 Have faith in God For verily I say unto you M Matth. V. 17 he is a debter Ye fools and blinde for whether is greater the gold or the temple that sanctifieth the gold Matth. V. 18 And whosoever shall swear by the altar it is nothing but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it he is guilty Matth. V. 19 Ye fools and blinde for whether is greater the gift or the altar that sanctifieth the gift Matth. V. 20 Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar sweareth by it and by all things thereon And whoseo shall swear by the temple Matth. V. 21 sweareth by it Matth. V. 22 and by him that dwelleth therein And he that shall swear by heaven sweareth by the throne of God and by him that sitteth thereon Wo unto you Scribes and Pharisces Matth. V. 23 hypocrites for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin and have omitted the weightier matters of the law judgement mercie and faith these ought ye to have done and not to leave the other undone Ye blinde guides Matth. V. 24 which strain at a gnat and swallow a camel Matth. V. 25 Wo unto you Scribes and Pharisees hypocrites for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter but within they are full of extortion and excesse Matth. Ch. 23 V. 26 Thou blinde Pharisee cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter that the outside of them may be clean also Matth. V. 27 Wo unto you Scribes and Pharisees hypocrites for ye are like unto whited sepulchres which indeed appeare beautifull outward but are within full of dead mens bones and of all uncleannesse Even so ye also outwardly appeare righteous unto men Matth. V. 28 but within ye are full of hypocrisie and iniquitie Matth. V. 29 Wo unto you Scribes and Pharisees hypocrites because ye build the tombes of the prophets and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous Matth. V. 30 And say If we had been in the dayes of our fathers we would not have been partakers with them in the bloud of the prophets Matth. V. 31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto your selves that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers Matth. V. 32 33 Ye serpents ye generation of vipers how can ye escape the damnation of hell Sect. 3. Wherefore behold Matth. V. 34 I send unto you prophets and wise men and Scribes and some of them ye shall kill and crucifie and some of them shall ye scourge in your Synagogues and persecute them from citie to citie Matth. V. 35 That upon you may come all the righteous bloud shed upon the earth from the bloud of righteous Abel unto the bloud of Zacharias sonne of Barachias whom ye slew between the temple and the altar Matth. Christ praiseth the widow that cast two mites into the treasury Mr. Mark Ch. 12 V. 41 ANd Jesus sat over against the treasurie and beheld how the people cast money into the treasurie and many that were rich cast in much Mark V. 42 And there came a certain poore widow and she threw in two mites which make a farthing L Luke Ch. 21 V. 1 And he looked up and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasurie Luke V. 2 And he saw also a certain poore widow casting in thither two mites Mr. Mark V. 43 And he called unto him his disciples and saith unto them Verily L Luke V. 3 of a truth Mr. Mark V. 43 I say unto you that this poore widow hath cast more in then all they that have cast into the treasurie L Luke V. 4 For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God but she of her penurie hath cast in all Mr. Mark V. 44 that she had even all her living L Luke V. 4 that she had CHAP. CLX Christ foretells the destruction of the temple and of Jerusalem M Matth. Ch. 24 V. 1 ANd Jesus went out and departed from the temple Mr. Mark Ch. 13 V. 1 And as he went out of the temple one of his disciples saith unto him Master see what manner of stones and what buildings are here Mark V. 2 And Jesus answering said unto him Seest thou these great buildings there shall not be left one stone upon another that shall not be thrown down M Matth. Ch. 24 V. 1 And his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple L Luke Ch. 21 V. 5 And as some spake of the temple how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts M Matth.
